I double-checked and 'Terror' is a 'Hobby' intended for a few specific monsters and uniques where they dramatically raise the danger level of the settlement (instead of decreasing it), but provide various treasures and corpses (probably of tourists who never arrived!) to you. One of the monsters with it must have spawned along the outskirts of the Tinker Camp...but I hadn't actually copied the hobby's data into the mod's source file from the Google spreadsheet I prep stuff while I'm not home. It's fixed now, I'll upload the new version when I get a chance. If you kill the monster 'Hellabyrinth Ruler' that should temporarily fix the problem.

Greetings!

I received the following error:
"KeyNotFoundException: The given key 'Terror' was not present in the dictionary."

This happened once randomly while I was in a dungeon, and then happened consistently when I tried to interact with a Fortune Drum. I tried deactivating other mods, but this one seems to be the one causing it, and it looks like a similar issue was reported a few days ago. Still, if I am mistaken and this mod is not the one causing the error, I do apologize!

Thank you for your time, and thank you for sparing so much effort in creating such an expansive mod!

@Cdaniii: That is not currently planned because it would completely unbalance the game. Early in this mod's development I'd been trying to emulate the speed of Elona+ monsters and...uh, it was awful.

Sorry users, I'd meant to get one last update out before my internet access becomes extremely limited until the 2nd of next month, but... That did not happen.

I was reading on the forum that in Elona there were ways to train speed, like eating raw speed rings. Do you plan to add mechanics like that to the mod?

im sorry if it sounded like i was complaining, that was not my intention. When lay on hands failed i ran out of ideas and thought to ask here. I would like to say thank you for the mod. the new monsters have been a joy, the bird admittedly excluded.

Let me just...remove the Death Mark from Toki Bird right now. I was trying to be smart and use an incomplete spell the dev has in the game files, but it doesn't currently track which enemy cast it, so the spell doesn't end when the caster dies.

how to handle the toki birds? just kill them before they see you? I thought having a companion with lay on hands would save my character from it's death curse but it seems not

I answered this question on Discord, but let me post my response here in case anyone else is interested:

The Claymore/Silvereye Witch's class/entry was a backer reference to the Claymore manga where girls had monster cores surgically inserted into them to fight other monsters. The more they fought the more unstable their bodies get until they start to transform into a monster themselves. It doesn't show on the creation screen, but they actually a passive Vorpal effect chance to bypass defense like with the original class, too. I added it to the description because I couldn't get it to display properly. But, I added Mutating Body to better reflect the source material. I thiiink it's possible to just never advance it if the additional body parts are undesired. The reason I didn't give weapon mastery is because I wanted to avoid overlap with Warrior. I adjusted their stat spread to distinguish them as much as possible.

Sorry to say this mod completely broke my game after this update! I do have many mods installed, so it's likely an issue with a conflict somewhere, but removing this mod made it work fine again (it's the only one i use that's updated since i played an hour or two ago).

Issue appeared when i fast travelled to vernis, and became game breaking when i clicked the quest board there. Hope this is of some use to you.

Pushed an "emergency" update to remove dragon bats and vampire bats, because noa just added them into the vanilla game (with way cooler sprites! :D)

Pushed the latest version I've been working on. It includes some rebalancing based on feedback I've received, corrected broken sprites, some new monsters, and some updated sprites. If you like an older version of the sprite, you can open the mod directory and check the extras folder: just replace the new one with the old one.

As always, please report any issues. This mod is...enormous, far bigger than I'd originally intended. It feels like there's always something breaking...

I appreciate this mod giving early game source of microchips, but at the same time... some of the monsters, especially when scaled, can give everyone a run for their money. As an example. electric tanks zap everything for a lot of damage off screen, toki birds can instakill you with death sentence, and if you happen to run into a named catgod with their 800+ speed... just get out.

I've never played omake overhaul so anything of note would surprise me/be worth it. Whenenver moding gets to where you can put towns in, I would like elona vernis as another town...

Latest update probably--hopefully--fixed a couple of issues with some higher-level monsters, and also added in all the Elona Plus eyeball and giant variants. As always, I ask everyone to please let me know if you encounter any errors. If you're able to report them on the English modding channel in the Elin/Elona Discord with a screenshot of the error, that would be great. If you can't, here is fine. The main issues at this point seem to be Action/Spell-related, because of the very...crude way I'm creating new spells. Sometimes they just don't work right.

Pushed a patch to fix a dumb mistake I made that was spawning late-game enemies at lvl 0 meaning they could appear in Puppy Cave... Sorry for anyone that was messing up! Also added kobold variants!

@Wolfguarde "Creature evolution" isn't currently viable without someone coding a framework for it, and unfortunately I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag... Evolution-exclusive creatures are currently either available as a unique a NPC somewhere that you can befriend using the normal methods, or as an "elite enemy" who spawns rarely like Goda, Bahamut, etc. and you can get an egg from them via potion (or use a mod that allows them to be captured).

Eventually, I hope I can implement something closer to the traditional method.

Fixed a conflict with the latest Nightly release (noa added Triceratops to the game using the same ID I was using)
Added SNAILS using a new level scaling, let me know if you have issues.
Added SLIMES using a new level scaling, let me know if you have issues.

noa just split objC into objC and objCL, so large monsters using Texture Replace might be broken in Nightly...thinking of how to fix it.

Next update will include: all Elona+ snails!

After much thought and gathering feedback from users of the mod on Elin's Discord server, I plan to adjust the level of most of the mod's content: the progression speed in Elin is far slower than Elona+'s, so it could require several hundred hours to reach the point that a Danger Level 250 monster could spawn, much less be beatable.

This will hopefully allow people to enjoy more of the content in the mid-game or as a casual player, which was my original aim in the first place.

Please keep providing feedback on balance issues, bugs, requests, etc.!

@SpiralRazor: That's an unfortunate consequence of how the game renders "loose" character sprites.

However, since you're the first person to ask, as I mentioned a few weeks ago if there's specific monsters people want available as statues, I'll load them into one of the empty spaces in the main sprite sheet. It's just that then I'm "competing" for space with noa and other mod makers, so I've tried to be conservative with it.

The "Alraune" mob does not properly convert to a statue when grabbed and placed...it remains a box.

i think there is something wrong with your mod even with just CWL and itself enemy's can not melee the player character. ranged attacks and magic will work like normal, but melee is not shown in the log as miss or hit nor is evasion exp granted, like it is being stopped before it even makes a roll. i have noticed this since the April 22 update and it's just when this mod is active that this occurs.

Huge thanks to Happy Panda for coding the update for Yacatect's goose: it now has a chance to produce platinum coins after eating and becoming satiated!

Additional entities:
Wolf sister has a chance to spawn as a tourist or slave.
Anubis sister can spawn as an enemy and has to be captured/tamed: don't underestimate her!

The mod, uh...keeps growing. In fact it had now swallowed up the Elona+ Weapon Pack and Hook Claw mods at the author/maintainer's request. I am working on making all the weapon sprites display in the proper positions, but it's a tedious process.
