flori1994 25. dec. 2015 kl. 2:51
can you add the other star wars ground weapons?
SergeantShavedBalls 17. okt. 2015 kl. 0:38
Kinda looks like two butt plugs attached in the middle.
Drug Cyborg, FBI 15. apr. 2015 kl. 18:48
Sweet.

We need more star wars guns. Preferably the Clone Commando's DC-17m interchangeable weapon system( http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/DC-17m_Interchangeable_Weapon_System ). I feel like just the standard assault rifle version would be really cool to see in SE. I'm trying to learn how to mod and get textures going but it's hard by myself and my school work takes up a lot of my time. Not sure if you'd take this up or not Duncan but I feel like you'd be the guy to do it. Love the bowcaster and heavyblaster you made.
SpartanJanitor 7. jan. 2015 kl. 23:27
I don't agree with the sound effect you chose for the bowcaster. Bowcasters had a lower, deeper sound to them when they fired.
SkyCaptainSleepy 29. dec. 2014 kl. 8:43
Great Mod!
as for suggestions, plz make a stormtrooper blaster :D
OmEgA_StOrM 16. nov. 2014 kl. 11:24

they are Striker.. go look at recent mods
STRIKER 14. nov. 2014 kl. 21:08
"This mod does not replace the default rifle." i hope the other gun mods would actualy be like that too !
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2014 kl. 21:03
As stated in the description you have to build it at an assembler. It is under the tools section.
天琴丨糖糖 14. nov. 2014 kl. 20:40
I can't find it, where is it?╮(╯▽╰)╭
Gilgamesh 14. nov. 2014 kl. 12:55
@duncankong
i see. that is unfortunate. i will keep my eyes open for similar mods that may help the cause and i'll talk to other modders i know.
Good to know you tried though.
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2014 kl. 12:52
@Battle Mage As for shotguns, there isn't really a way to make a shotgun projectile using the current projectile/missile definitions. Something you may find interesting though, is that when I was looking around in the space engineers audio files I did see some shot gun sound effects (as well as other weapon sounds). So maybe Keen is planning on adding other weapon/ammo types in the future?
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2014 kl. 12:51
@Battle Mage I actually took a stab at making a lightsaber the other night but I encountered a problem. When I tried to replace the drill model with the lightsaber it only affected the "physical model" (the model when you drop something on the ground). The hand tools are set up differently than I thought, so I can't see a way of modifying/replacing the hand tools at the moment. The only way I can think of to get a "melee weapon" to work is by using the rifle as a template and setting the range really low. This means that it would require ammo and have a weird damage area. I think I will hold off on any melee weapons and just wait and hope that Keen eventually allows modifying the hand tools.
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2014 kl. 12:48
@Phoenix Thanks for the tip. I have all the Jedi Knight games on my computer so I'll take a look and see if I can find the sound files.

@WiKnight I have a couple ideas for future weapon mods from the Star Wars and Star Trek universes but I have some other things I want to do first. I think the next weapon mod I will try to do will be a Phaser from Star Trek (TNG-era). I want to see if I can get a one handed weapon to work, also I want to see if I can make a weapon with a continuous beam effect.
Gilgamesh 14. nov. 2014 kl. 8:53
@duncankong
Nice. Always like to have a selection of weapons rather than having one or the other.
Ever thought about making a melee weapon for close quarters combat? Maybe using a grinder as a base with increased damage. Chainsaw or something similar. Would be easier to make over a light saber as you dont have to worry about the swinging action of the character.
Or even a shotgun type weapon with limited range.
Stout_Richard 14. nov. 2014 kl. 8:06
looks cool
Yusis_2000 14. nov. 2014 kl. 7:04
@duncankong I finaly came over my hate for the bowcaster, but it took some time (actualy took 4 min of me using this mod) so im wondering, are you planning on making another weapon from STAR-WARS? (BTW Thanks for curing my hate for the weapon) :)
PhoenixTheSage 13. nov. 2014 kl. 21:27
You might be able to just rip it from Jedi Knight, since they released the source from that series and pretty much every Star Wars game with the Bowcaster in it has used the same sound...
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2014 kl. 20:29
@Phoenix ya I couldn't find a good bowcaster sound effect so I just used a stormtrooper rifle sound. If you can find a better sound I will look at replacing it.
PhoenixTheSage 13. nov. 2014 kl. 20:01
...but that's not what a bowcaster sounds like XD
PhoenixTheSage 13. nov. 2014 kl. 20:01
I love you...
Dken 13. nov. 2014 kl. 15:40
very cool i like people making new weps for me to play with
Brogan9000 13. nov. 2014 kl. 14:34
Man mods like this will make servers dedicated to PvP much more interesting.
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2014 kl. 13:38
@STARCRUNCH7 yes there are two guns in my inventory. I have talked to Sektan and he is currently working on making his weapons like mine so in the near future we should be able to have toolbars filled with modded weapons.
STARCRUNCH7 13. nov. 2014 kl. 9:03
Are there two guns in his inventory?
DirectiveAthena 13. nov. 2014 kl. 7:57
please make more
Average Caucasian Shark 13. nov. 2014 kl. 2:46

TheDevi 12. nov. 2014 kl. 15:08
Nice.
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2014 kl. 14:18
Yes the hand drill could also work. That would probably make more sense when hitting blocks/asteroids. After looking at the grinder/handdrill definitions it seems that the real issue would be that there are no defined "damage" or radius or speed values to manipulate. So even if I were to figure out the animations (which is possible it will just take a lot of testing) the damage/utility it does would be identical to whichever "physical item" I choose. I have a few other mods I am working on at the moment but when I finish them I might give the lightsaber a try.
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2014 kl. 12:50
@DeAnti I have also been in contact with Sektan. He helped me fix the problem with my mod so I am happy to help him in any way I can.
DeAnti 12. nov. 2014 kl. 12:45
I message Sektan last nite he said he'll look into it
KingdomBragg 12. nov. 2014 kl. 10:59
Fair enough, that would indeed be a most unusual stance for wielding a lightsaber.
The disassembling was part of the reason I suggested a grinder: I thought it would look pretty damn cool cutting through a bulkhead with your lightsaber.
Astro 12. nov. 2014 kl. 10:43
If you are considering making a new hand-held tool, I would recommend the F-187 fusioncutter. Anyone that has played Battlefront will recognize it.
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2014 kl. 10:40
I actually though about adding a "melee weapon" using the grinder as a template but I'm not sure if I know enough to do it properly. Using my current knowledge it would have to be something that uses the default grinder animation (having both hands a foot apart and thrusting forwards 2 inches). If I can figure out how the animations work I could try and add other "melee weapons" but a lightsaber might be a bit of a stretch. I definitely wouldn't be able to have it extend and retract. The only kind of animation on the weapon itself that I might be able to do is add a spinning object like the blade on the grinder. Another thing to consider is that any "melee weapon" made this way would have the side effect of dissassembling any blocks it makes contact with.
KingdomBragg 12. nov. 2014 kl. 9:06
Thanks for the response. If it's not too cheeky: do you reckon you could make a unique grinder that looks and sounds like a lightsaber?
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2014 kl. 8:22
@KingdomBragg I beleive it should be possible. As far as I know the hand held tools use the same definitions as the weapons.
@WiKnight lol the bowcaster was my favorite weapon in the dark forces/jedi knight games (other than the lightsaber obviously). If Keen ever adds the ability to make charged spread shots or bouncing shots I'm totally adding it to this mod.
@Baryonyx I'll see what I can do. I've never used any sort of video capture before so it might take me a while to figure out.
Baryonyx 12. nov. 2014 kl. 8:01
Kewll! Can we get a video plz?
Yusis_2000 12. nov. 2014 kl. 6:35
aw HELL NO! I still have bad memories from the bowcaster in the dark forces series :,(
KingdomBragg 12. nov. 2014 kl. 3:10
Awwww yisss :D
Is it possible to make unique hand held tools as well?
xenolego 11. nov. 2014 kl. 20:01
:)
duncankong  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2014 kl. 20:00
I left a comment on one of his mods so hopefully he will see it.
xenolego 11. nov. 2014 kl. 19:49
You should tell Sektan how to do this. ;)
Cain 11. nov. 2014 kl. 19:15

Atoad Fritler 11. nov. 2014 kl. 19:02
