Hi, I'm the author or the mod Tobacco+ Hotkey , don't know if you've noticed, there has been an update of 42.12 lately and they've added possibility to smoke cigz directly from the pack without having to unpack'em beforehand, so all you've to do is apparently add "Smokable" tag to the pack scripts, my mod is already compatible with this functionality, so go ahead and add the tag so the cigarettes can be smoked directly :) Thanks!

How do i activate the mod? Somehow, when i create a new game and click on "select mods" it doesn't appear. I'm new to Steam and I don't know how to activate it. Thanks in advice (This was all writen with google translate, so i apologize for any bad grammar.)

@Balance Crafting chewing tobacco from the plant. The most basic form is air drying it and chewing on it when it cures. but yeah look into it :) Thanks a ton

Sorry I was away for a few months, but if you or anyone else is still wondering, it should be totally compatible mid-save. You would just need to travel to a undiscovered location to have a chance of dropping the 'Glass Paraphernalia Magazine' or 'Hemp Leaf Chew', both of which can be crafted or auto-learned by progressing the appropriate skills :spiffo:

@Stra1ghtSlay1n Spawns are unaffected by this mod so anywhere the Vanilla game drops seeds. I would have to dig into the code for a refresher and I'm unsure if things have changed since I last looked, but I recall being able to find them from foraging (I think it was from Dogbane) and dropping on Farmer zeds.
If you are keen on avoiding towns/cities I would recommend trying something like this to get a hold of more Hemp, I wish you luck on your search! :spiffo:

@Big Beef Are you asking for the ability to chew on Dried Tobacco itself, or a recipe to create Chewing Tobacco?
I would have to do research on the process and effects to make sure it made sense with the semi-realistic primitive crafting Zomboid has but I would definitely consider adding this if it does :spiffo:

Hey balance love the mod!
Any chance you can add it so we can dry and chew just the tobacco? i know chewing tobacco is in the game now and the simplest way to process it for use is to air dry it then shred. I would love a way to create my own and not have to rely on loot from Z's.

How do you get the seeds for everything? can I forage for them? Im trying a wilderness run and have the smoker trait and am trying to avoid going into town. will Zombies drop them?

this may be useless but back in the day in iran (like somewhere in 1910-20s idk i like heard it from my homework) we had tobbaco culture but the teadrinkers (british people) took that away from us

@LokiPhur I will be adding a standard spliff for sure! I believe there is a mod for B42 which adds herb cigarettes, this probably isn't something I'll be adding to this mod but I won't rule it out and will consider it when I'm writing the spliff recipes. Appreciate your comments, update should be coming in the next couple days with translations, spliffs, and further recipe polishing! :spiffo:

I finally have some time to get around to this and I still owe translations files so that it may for CN users as well. You are free to re-upload with translations! However I would be happy to add them to the core mod as well :spiffo:

@Balance oh maybe there could be a regular spliff (tobacco + hemp) and maybe a Herbal Spliffo (forged herb + tobacco ?+? hemp). I dont know if theres any smokeable herbs, maybe the sage and lemongrass?

@Mordhaud, @Lionnel Brix, I am currently wrapping up an update which adds more content and should help bridge compatibility to 'HGO-Expansion' who I am now in communication with for future compatibility!
As for 'N&C Narcotics' I plan to reach out to the Author soon and see if perhaps we can also work together for compatibility. So I hope to make it happen! :spiffo:

@Will they should be safe to run together but there's likely going to be minor issues such as pipes and grinders not being interchangeable between products.

It's fine, it's just frustrating that this can even happen over a free mod using only vanilla game assets.
