Personally can't recommend this mod. The items like armorskin and the such give you such an upperhand in any battle that it basically turns on easy mode. Despite that the creator didn't even try to make the icons fit the ones found in vanilla dredmor.

It's a random loot, you can find it anywhere
Warlock Comrad 23 Jan, 2016 @ 10:25am
Are the monster bones random loot, drops or can you find them in crates orso?

The most fitting enemies would definitely be Melynx and Felynx and of course little chakas. The normal monsters would be boring to make because they'd just attack you and that's it. The cats and little guys can do interesting stuff to you and not "break the lore"

The next problem are background elements. Generally - I can't change their properties. If doors can't demand any damages, then theres nothing to do. The only thing are traps, I can make some of them, but they'll not be better then the normal traps from game. So... NO BIG BOSSES FIGHTS. Sorry guys :(

Today I start to update this mod. I will try to add first Armors, add skills and Gunlances (as a wands). About Monsters? I don't know...

Stage 3 - Monsters
Monsters from Monster Hunter have one problem - They're BIG. And that's the only problem because I can't make big, long (that's the main problem) monsters. Why I can't? Because every monster in DoD is draw in Vertical resolution and the monsters from MH are made Horizontal so there will be problem with setting them to game. The only way i can make them is by drawing the icons of monster (you know this square images), but will be problem with the size. I can stretch them vartiacally or just all monster will be smaller then main character.
And that was about the monsters. The second part will be about fighting and why I can't (again) make this. Even if i can make special rooms with bosses (there will be problem with graphics, but we were talkin about it before) the monster can escape from there if We open the doors.

Hi @Mark_King
Your comments are really interesting. I see you have big knowlegde about MH and a really good imagination. Unfortunately your ideas are too advanced to this game and i write here why.
Stage 2-Carves and Rewards
I can't make any spell or item that will gave me something from monster, because it would need to change line in code. I can only decide about percentage of droping items from monsters when i make them. Also I can make spell that can spawn concrete item, but that will create items from nothing and that isn't something I want.
Don't worry about Skills. I think today i will start making something in this way, but still I need to decide about form of skills.

Stage 3 - Monsters
This could either be large, boss monsters (With predictable and avoidable attacks, like in MH itself) or maybe reactive background elements (like a Jhen Mohran fight) where you kick a door (for example) and deal 'damage' to the boss and dodge traps that present themselves beforehand (these are the bosses' attacks).

As I said, these are just ideas, great job on the mod Paixx!

Actually, following up on this (just an idea, the mod as-is is already great), there are two more stages to take this mod - Monster Hunter-wise. (Keep in mind that things don't have to be balanced, but can just be for fun)

Stage 2 - Carves and Rewards
There should be a skill that lets you 'carve' monsters for the Weapon Crafting Reagents.
Or, maybe a skill with the first level being a (Vampire-like) ability to consume corpses to create Reagents based on the monster-type.
The second level could be an ability to cast a spell (capture) a monster with less than 10% hp or something, and get even more rewards.
Third Level...I don't know, maybe an on-proc like ability to spawn Reagents like a crit or something.

I really like this mod, but are the Axes supposed to have the classification "Sword Class Weapons"? Seems off to me.
