This mod was amazing, sad to see it (apparently) abandoned
Iwen 3 May @ 2:12pm
no update :steamsad:
Mothster 29 Apr @ 6:02pm
Does this work at all with Catholic Trinity?
Iwen 5 Apr @ 10:10am
It'll probably get updated eventually
Pl4m 23 Mar @ 7:33am
Hey, I love this mod, please update it for 1.15!
Currently, it seems to mess up a few things, most notably the automated armies menu
Tschetschjotkin 6 Mar @ 12:48am
Hello, could you fix your mod for Community DLC about monuments? I think, because your mod adds new provs, monuments do not exists on the map.
Ela_Razie 3 Mar @ 3:09pm
Why is there a -2 domain penalty for Republic with this mod ?
Iwen 25 Feb @ 3:29pm
For some reason, this mod disables Medieval Monuments. Turned off all other mods.
Amoreira07 25 Feb @ 11:57am
Does this mod add the papal election (Conclave)?
_peachpandaboy_ 21 Feb @ 7:00pm
I have it, for the entire life I didnt have influence or a succession window, but I did have an estate
Iwen 16 Feb @ 10:00am
Is there any way to convert into a republic?
jamesgdahl  [author] 13 Feb @ 11:04pm
Yes you should have influence and the succession window shows who succeeds you. Is it possible you don't have Roads to Power DLC?
_peachpandaboy_ 11 Feb @ 12:25pm
I had an estate but when I died it just said game over, no option to continue. Is there any way to see who will succeed you, or influence it like you can with administrative government?
jamesgdahl  [author] 9 Feb @ 6:51am
> I played as venice in 1178, and it worked up until my character died because I had no heir (even though I had 7 children, both girls and boys)

In a Republic, your children do not succeed automatically as leader of the republic but you should be able to continue to play as you would have an estate. If no estate was generated something has gone wrong
jamesgdahl  [author] 9 Feb @ 6:47am
I'm not sure I've never used that mod
JamieStylez 9 Feb @ 12:22am
yeah, same questions as Marquis Desade, is this compatible with Catholic Trinity?
_peachpandaboy_ 8 Feb @ 4:29pm
I played as venice in 1178, and it worked up until my character died because I had no heir (even though I had 7 children, both girls and boys)

Is this compatible with Catholic Trinity?
jamesgdahl  [author] 6 Feb @ 12:41am
There are extensive changes to succession for both republics and theocracies, there are plans for mechanics changes
Milsugione 31 Jan @ 10:44am
anyone got tips to make it work with more bookmarks
Iwen 28 Jan @ 4:05pm
Was wondering, will there be any further features added to republican/theocratic gameplay as in mechanics or is this mainly just to make them playable?
jamesgdahl  [author] 21 Jan @ 10:23am
I realise I forgot to include some localisations for non-English languages for Tusculum and L'Aquila so very small update to 1.32 tomorrow, even people playing in those languages unless they were playing the Pope probably didn't even notice.
Austriaco 21 Jan @ 9:02am
Thanks for the fix. By the way, I was an event writer & did character portraits for the now discontinued Crusader Universalis mod. I'd be happy to help on this one if you're open to it.
jamesgdahl  [author] 21 Jan @ 7:19am
I have updated to 1.31 please check the change log
jamesgdahl  [author] 21 Jan @ 7:19am
Austriaco I have found the issue with this, for brief periods during succession councillors do not have a liege, and this causes this error, this has been fixed.
Regarding the republics by default all councillors and courtiers in Republics are up for election, and the succession mechanics are very different for Republics, hover over and look at the score each candidate has for instance.

With the way Administrative Government is set up; Governors are specifically meant to lose land when they die and it's all supposed to be very centralized around whoever is Emperor. I think for Republics, especially with the lack of a trade/tradepost mechanic, it would make much more sense for titles to continue to be directly held by families that take them; not unlike how it was done in Ck2.
VenecoHead 18 Jan @ 8:50pm
Game crashes everytime :steamsad:
TheLoneWanderer 18 Jan @ 1:26pm
If you see files mentioned on the error log or values/triggers/etc. you can perform a search for them and see Erica mod folder they are in. If multiple mods are modifying the same files/ entries then there will be unknown and unforeseen errors and outcomes
Konan the Librarian 17 Jan @ 7:11pm
when looking through my own error logs it's something similar, though I still use less old wives with a compatch for the latest update. Might start a fresh save without any marriage mods and see how stable it is.
Unicorn_Princess 16 Jan @ 6:25pm
as a big Venice nerd, I love this mod - however It'd be nice if the slander and promote schemes actually did anything in the context of republics. as it stands, AI characters just slander and promote each other and it plays no role on the republican succession.
also probably super hard to do, but it'd also be rad if the papal election took characters from outside the court of the pope, so like random bishops in poland or something could be elected.
jamesgdahl  [author] 16 Jan @ 6:22pm
Looks like a mod conflict yeah, I'm not familiar with that mod
TheLoneWanderer 16 Jan @ 2:04pm
Lmf is the love marriage families mod which is where many of those errors came from
fearadach 16 Jan @ 11:23am
On the second one, this errors occurred:

Could be a conflict with Council Advisors - UPDATED? (I've tried to uncheck this mod first, but it didn't work.)
fearadach 16 Jan @ 11:23am
I tried on two saves. On both, the game crashed to the desktop after approximately 5 in-game days, always on the same date (but different depending on save).

I checked logs but errors for me was inconclusive. I tried few mods, and unchecking this worked.

On the first save, I encountered this error (repeated) several times:

[22:36:35][E][jomini_script_system.cpp:284]: Script system error!
Error: has_variable trigger [ This scope doesn't support variables. Scope: Pratha Prathid of b_barkdiz (Internal ID 33669007) weak (Character - 33669007)! ]

file: common/council_positions/cac_council_positions.txt line: 13 (councillor_advisor_1:valid_character)
TheLoneWanderer 16 Jan @ 6:56am
with some crashes, the last few lines in the error.log file can be informative
jamesgdahl  [author] 15 Jan @ 11:10pm
It could be from the version change to 1.21, old saves may not work due to some changes
jamesgdahl  [author] 15 Jan @ 10:43pm
Oh no, if you can see anything in the error logs let me know, there are a lot of bugs even in unmodded CK3
fearadach 15 Jan @ 2:42pm
Started crashing for me too. Few days pass in game and then a crash.
TheLoneWanderer 15 Jan @ 2:41pm
I remember that was a particularly cold and miserable day so it wouldn’t surprise me.
Konan the Librarian 15 Jan @ 2:21pm
game keeps crashing on October 20, 1202 for some reason.
jamesgdahl  [author] 15 Jan @ 2:09am
OK I have made a fix for the procure estate interaction and made sure you get the right government from it.
jamesgdahl  [author] 14 Jan @ 10:22pm
I hadn't tested the landless adventurer interactions, I forgot you could do that haha
Austriaco 14 Jan @ 9:29pm
Appreciate it! You're single handedly saving our multiplayer game. :Gifting:
jamesgdahl  [author] 14 Jan @ 8:00pm
Ah this was caused by an overzealous check I'll fix that bug
Austriaco 14 Jan @ 7:22pm
Specifically they're somehow still playable but have no estate.
Austriaco 14 Jan @ 7:00pm
Something with the update broke the Procure Estate interaction, making it result in "you received None of" with None of underlined. The character becomes completely landless with no estate.
F3NIX 14 Jan @ 10:30am
It works with MPE if you rename the title history files and delete the landed titles (without removing the noble families added by Popes and Doges)

(Thanks to SirSen for this info)
shinsaga 14 Jan @ 10:04am
Could you please add all non-landed nobles as candidates? There are too few candidates available."
