In conclusion, I can say that you've truly done a tremendous job on this mod. But I understand that it's incredibly difficult to create such new mechanics and make them fun to play, right? But please understand that with great work comes great responsibility (I'm Captain Obvious, lol XD). So, make the levels actually challenging, interesting to complete and balance the enemy spawns (and also somehow rebalance the new monsters, like these clawed dogs, geyser AKA water golems, and flying angel-like winged monsters, etc). My final personal rating is 6/10.

So, don't judge. Anyways, stay serious and good luck with your mod development!

I completed your mod (Wednesday, October 15th). I completed it on the normal difficulty level (since I'm neither a pro nor a noob, I just wanted to do a blind playthrough and see the campaign), so that's my verdict.

The beginning is awesome! The weapons are seriously cool! The new enemies are also pretty cool, very meaty and deadly! The impact of weapons and enemy hits is also top-notch! The new levels are also quite interesting to play through and the modified NETRICSA with new lore tables also counts and a pretty interesting move was made to add side quests (AKA Serious Sam 4).

However, your mod does have some flaws... The new levels are cool! But when they literally go on for two hours or so and you're being attacked by TONS of enemies, it becomes very tiring. Sometimes it happens, although no... On many of the new levels, the lag was incredibly severe (sometimes down to 10 FPS), so the new maps need some better optimization.

Genius pain level. Tooo much place for walk. Too much enemies. But.. that fog room. Where i should find some switch to open door. Who is genius created that fog room? You think is funny to killing and killing 1000 kleers? in small fog corridors? I also tried to run and skip all enemies. But NO! DOOR NOT OPEN, PROBABLY I SHOULD KILL EVERYONE :steambored:. How much hours i should spend on this? If I were to create levels like this, I wouldn't have made this part of the level too loong. Just infinity spawn.. bruh.. KLEERS, GNAARS, KLEERS, GNAARS. What i should do? Continue killing? Hoping if this nightmare will end in sometime? Or Maybe i should again choose low difficulty? To see not too much enemies. Or maybe skip level? :kalleira:

how about to skip all this Campaign? Sounds more better. I do not recommend play on this. Especially in single player on high difficulty.

Tried to complete on Master difficulty. But hell nah. im not gonna finish this. Waste of time. very big long maps. Always running running through many km with freaky sprint. Some enemies are pain in ass. Over too much enemies.

Firstly, level Temple of Ptah pissed me off, which i can't beat on Serious difficulty, because small room had a too much enemies. But i completed that level on Master difficulty without big problems bruh... of course, not too much enemies was.

Difficulty ratio between original and new levels is a significant increase, making it pretty unbalanced. As @pibab said, Temple of Ptah is impossible to complete without cheating, strongest weapons and sprint do not help at all. The Plantations level begins to stutter and FPS drops as soon as spaceships spawn.
That's my experience for now, i haven't completed it yet, but overall, mappack is good, fun and refreshing to Sam veterans who played this game many times.

As for cons, it needs to be better optimized. Sudden FPS drops are happening while I'm playing, making it almost unplayable until i reload a save or restart the game. It can go away by itself after a few minutes, but that's rare. I don't know whether it's due to my PC being a little bit outdated or the game itself, but nonetheless, I think it can be better optimized. Difficulty on some levels is ridiculous, too many enemies are spawning in narrow spaces. In open spaces they ambush you nearly every time you make 20 steps while you're progressing.

Good mappack. Added new guns, enemies and, of course, levels. The map design and visuals are stunning, the guns are awesome, new enemies and variants of existing enemies are brutally good. Lore tablets are nice additions to the game. Sprinting is a nice addition for someone who likes using it. Reusing old levels from Serious Sam Alpha is a great thing you did.

I know how to use the sprint key, and as far as I can tell, my settings are basically default.

Idk what you have on your pc. And in your game settings. Maybe your sprint is unbinded. Or maybe you just multiple pressing, not hold? :roflanGigi:

Because i mean hold that button, not a hitting.

I mean, you can run faster like in Serious sam 3. Just pressing Shift button. I don't like this option. TFE and TSE never had that. This is so not canonical for game. And also sprint don't have any animation. Looks ridiculous.

Mappack looks cool in graphic way, weapons from ss4. Brutal animations. Some new enemies, some new weapons, new levels. But difficulity on some levels is a impossible hell. Which makes you think about start using cheats in the game. Or maybe skip that ridiculous level.

how many times i tried finish this campaign on HD version second encounter. And i always can't normally beat this. Because difficilty. It's very hard was on HD second encounter. And it's also super hard on Fusion, bruh. Level "Temple of Ptah" pissed me off. Why so many enemis on some small room with many frogs, kleers, skorpions?? How i should beat it? They always spawning and spawning. I been played this on SAM difficility. I know SAM should be super hard. But.. There no balance, really. How i should complete that room? I dont wanna choose easy or normal for beat this level. Those difficulty are booring for me. Also adding sprint in TFE, weird option. That thing also pissed me off. I unbinded sprint button. And beat all levels, but not a "Temple of Ptah" with that room, where i should kill everyone for activate some script to open big door or something idk. Sprint also not helping bruh. :steamdeadpan:

I think someone will make a Secrets Guide, but it should not include those that are already present in vanilla and ASSHDR since they're pretty much the same, and is not really needed.

Hello, dear authors, creators. I'd like to know when the project will be officially released and when all updates will be suspended? I'd like to complete the game from scratch without any errors, bugs, or crashes. I understand it's a very complex and large-scale project, but still.:cleankey:

Great to see this campaign revived, loved the original.
Got to ask though, the Challenge of Insight in Ptah with the platforms and the spike ceiling; how do you actually do it?
I'm trying to go the only possible way, but the gap between two platforms seems too wide to cross. I don't remember what it was like in the original, but I know I did that one without cheating.
And for two playthroughs I checked to see the answer, they both seemed to have a sprint mod on, so that doesn't really help.

i can confirm it, sometimes even when there's no witch brides or fishwyrms something causing game to crash and save/autosave doesn't work anymore, only the previous saves work

To be honest, I can only give 'Serious Sam: Extended Encounters' a 4 out of 10. Frequent crashes after saving or even after dying make loading impossible... I have to replay the game. There are two different sounds from different parts of Sam in one item, for example +25HP. The locations are extremely large, but there are few enemies, or the locations are small and there is a large number of enemies...

@Skyguy, it's the same as in ASSHDR (new secret) and vanilla.

- Find a lever near the Rocket Launcher (ASSHDR Exclusive - Secret 05). Instead of Cannonballs like in ASSHDR though, it launches Erasergun Bolts instead.
- +100 Armor above where you find the Tommygun. Secret 01.
- Destroy all statues to access a teleport to take you near to the Level Exit to Moon Mountains. Secrets 02 - 04.

What is that 5 secret in chambers of horus? I just explored(even with cheat) all of the map and didn't find any sign of a new secret. if there's a new secrets in old maps and it's not a bug, then leave a hint on them cuz i don't get it what to do or search like in horus.

Don't remember so much recoil in ss4 when you hold only 1 minigun(even with non-stop firing), most of the time it's still useful in long distances, but here it's just bad most of the time even on middle distance(feels like low damage, even for kleers) and i have to use thompson even for dealing with harpies(so tough).

Also you need to do something with those area distances, the maps is SOOOO freaking big. Man, really, they are so big, most of the time i spending just by holding shift and running across the maps for a few minutes and it's just in one section, but then the second big section comes after the first big one and my finger just crying for mercy. At least you can put a serious speed in all big areas.

is this big recoil on minigun supposed to be? Makes it useless on long distances and sometimes even in the middle distances, i always need to switch on thompson or laser gun. Can you reduce the recoil at least on half?

Couldn't finish the level "The Plantation", because there's a script error after I kill the reptiloid bride and I'm pretty sure that it abort the part of the script that continue the level (at less I can't find an unlocked door and the war music doesn't stop)

In Temple of Ptah I cannot found secret with bogus detour room(yeah, Im cheated to go in). I look everething in rooms nearby, but I not found switch.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, the Fishwyrm also seems broken, it attacks maybe once every 5 minutes and because of that, the first fight against it in Metropolis is really really easy compared to the original fight; not to mention, in the original fight it wouldn't die fully, but get smaller and smaller with more relentless attacks.

In Temple of Ptah, the gold cat that you need to dust off cannot be collected, doesn't seem to be a correct key item (doesn't float and such).

Been playing this on serious difficulty for a while, I'm currently at "The Plantations" and I must say that "Temple of Ptah" is a massive difficulty spike compared to the rest I played. I especially have a gripe against the right cat statue fight (the one with gizmos, kleers, firecrackers and arachnoids). This thing drove me crazy, the whole arena is a mine field because of the gizmos, the kleers are omnipresent and and the fire-crackers force you to play Touhou Project. The arachnois, I can give or take, since I was able to get rid of them really quickly by planting 5 pipe bombs where they spawn to pretty much spawn-kill them. Maybe I just have a skill issue, I'm totally open to that possibility, but personally I would either add more heath/armor items in the arena or I would rebalance the enemy spawners (augment the spawnee death delay of the kleers, augment the single delay of the gizmo, reduce the amount of gizmo spawner, etc.)
Other than that, this map pack is cool so far!
