Doesn't seem to work for me at the moment. Anyone have an idea of what might be wrong? I installed the mod and loaded up a current playthrough, but none of the machines seem to work.

one of the best mods
Khala SkunkSpray 26 Feb @ 3:44pm
isnt there a way to make the animation better and just add some arcade game sounds?
Blkbeard 14 Feb @ 4:05am
A TV&Radio ReInvented collaboration with this mod would be epic.

great mod! jeziel idea is great too, if something appear in the arcade screen that'd make it very cool
FlufyFox 31 Jan @ 4:01am
btw idk if anyone noticed, but these arcade machines stop making sounds after the electricity goes out in the game, do you think you could make it gets the sound back again when we put them close to an generator in your mod ? I really get them early on my save games so i can hear their sounds, its really cool for decoration and stuff too :3

love this :spiffo:

The idea is good, but the character animation is bad, and something should appear on the arcade machine screen
LostFromSleep 19 Jan @ 1:49pm
The animation is bored

Yeah sounds great. Im picturing this in mp and possible issues.

Also read through some older comments. The idea about the machine costing like a dollar to play and possible hacking it to bypass the cost, sounds pretty awesome.

Currently there's no MP in b42, but I will extensively test it once it's out to make sure it works right.
Cyrisa 14 Jan @ 9:13am
Alright thanks. Would the action still be saved if this is in multiplayer and multiple players use the same machine?
Deon ☣  [author] 13 Jan @ 11:45pm
@Cyrisa you can already help with gameplay time if you simply increase the amount of restored moodles. You can always interrupt the action and it will still account for the spent time. You don't need to actually "finish" it, the moodles are updated in real time..

Thank you for the information about the tiles, I will look into it.
Cyrisa 13 Jan @ 7:18pm
Hello, can we have a sandbox setting to adjust the play timed action? It is quite a long time to play by default.

Also I believe "Daddy Dirkie dirks tiles" has some arcade machines.
Deon ☣  [author] 8 Jan @ 7:29am
Do you have a list of tile packs used in popular B42 mods already that contain arcade machines? I will be glad to expand the mod.
Raxdeg 8 Jan @ 7:16am
You should work on getting arcade machines from other tile packs to work.
Deon ☣  [author] 7 Jan @ 12:22pm
I've tested, and I definitely can play them after picking them up and putting them down.

Sometimes Zomboid is a bit finnicky where you have to click to actually get the tile.
Also for Pinball, you must click on the front tile.
Deon ☣  [author] 7 Jan @ 9:54am
You should totally be able to do that, as it works based on the graphic tile.
I will test it tonight just to be sure, thank you for the report.
CrossFusion 7 Jan @ 9:43am
I noticed that if you pick up the machine and place it somewhere else you no longer are able to play
Deon ☣  [author] 6 Jan @ 5:54pm
Yes, I want to make it a sandbox option in future updates, and also hacking it sounds like a fun feature, thank you.
_Sting 6 Jan @ 8:09am
if you make it cost money at least make an option where you can bypass the money with high electrical skill, will also make this tradeskill somewhat useful
Raw 6 Jan @ 3:34am
Love !

1) The animation would work, but B42 introduced "depth levels". So now if you animate on top of machine, it blocks the player model... I cannot figure out how to fix it yet.
2) Money + power usage will be in the next update.
Raw 6 Jan @ 3:31am
Nice work !

If I can suggest two thing :
- use of money to play
- dedicated animation while playing

Thanks for the help dude, you'll probably see me on the discord this weekend LOL

I didn't learn much, I knew LUA language before.
What I did learn is the structure of Zomboid functions, you can find it here:
https://projectzomboid.com/modding/index.html

Also I am not a coder in life, so I looked up a lot of examples in other mods, and asked questions in PZ Modding Community (it's in the mod description at the bottom). Have fun and don't be afraid to experimet.
Snek 4 Jan @ 2:27am
Where did you learn to do the Lua stuff I have been searching for a good source to start learning I have been trying to fix a couple mods but I can't figure it out.
Deon ☣  [author] 4 Jan @ 2:13am
Please dont say sorry, when I am playing the games or installing mods, I am not an avid reader myself :).

I was given an idea to add a sandbox option to use Money on arcade machines, I will look into implementing it in future updates.
Sorry mod author Deon, I need to get better at reading stuff fully before asking questions lol
Deon ☣  [author] 3 Jan @ 3:57pm
1) They don't currently require power. Maybe they have a battery block? :D
I do plan to implement power requirement (and make it optional) + make them emit light, but I haven't got around to it yet.

2) As the description says, "- Playing produces sound, and sound atttracts zombies (similar to breaking bushes/objects in terms of distance)."
This seems very cool- do they require power, and does the noise attract zombies?

I had an idea of making a minigame, but it will take me more than I know.

I am focusing on making bug-free mods that raise my knowledge of coding, so eventually I will come back to it, @BibleCampVictim
BibleCampVictim 2 Jan @ 3:16pm
would be cool if a GUI of the actual arcade game came up
oh sick
Mr. Kobaltz SOG 2 Jan @ 10:55am
Hell yea. Big fan of the Playable Arcade Machines mod too. Just glad to actually be able to “use” them again and not just have them take up space in the base. Thank you much
Deon ☣  [author] 2 Jan @ 9:55am
A brief update, I forgot to update the mod poster/icon since I was so happy that it works :D.
