Hi ykkbg,

I have the mod installed on my own system with DG and haven't had any significant issues. The only known conflict is if you have other mods that reverse, or otherwise mess with, vampire feeding and power progression.

One other thing I've noticed myself (after much playing) is that once in a while, vampire progression will continue to stage 4, even with the ring equipped. Feeding (and going back to stage 1) seems to fix this without further issue. However, you may wish to have a stage 4 vampire while wearing the ring, as this will give maximum benefits, while eliminating the significant vulnerability to fire.

As always, keep pre-mod saves so you can un-install the mod and back out if something does go wrong. But this mod has been out for a while now and everything that can go wrong should be known by this point.
Ykkbg 29 Jun, 2015 @ 1:02am
Are you sure that this works ok with DG? Because, as you probably know, the feeding levels cause slightly different effects in vanilla game and DG

The best mod for vampires!!!

Hi red. No, you don't need dawnguard for this mod. I only used the core files when I made the mod. If you have any issues using it, let me know.
red 23 Apr, 2015 @ 4:11pm
do i need dawnguard in order for this mod to work??
tomskimartin 30 Mar, 2015 @ 6:06am
thx alot must have just been a bug i have found it now by the way a great mod and idea
cltcoolb  [author] 29 Mar, 2015 @ 4:34pm
Hi Tom, the ring is very small to be sure. I have a photo above the description of where the ring should be in Falion's house. If you're having issues finding on the table (like maybe it got knocked off or something), you can use the ID code above (xx000D63) to add it to your inventory.
tomskimartin 28 Mar, 2015 @ 3:31pm
i cnt get it to work it just dosnt appear
Obama's left eyeball 17 Feb, 2015 @ 3:46pm
Thank you so much for this mod, now i can slay people at ease under the sun :)
Damian Sicarius 2 Jan, 2015 @ 11:27pm
Just want to say love the mod, it works great and thanks i been looking for one like this for a long time but it kinda makes the whole dawnguard vampires wanting the sun to go away pointless lol
cltcoolb  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 6:13pm
Also, let me know if the unsubbing blood driven doesn't work. I'll dig back into things and see if there's something else weird going on.
cltcoolb  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 6:11pm
That's cool. I wish I had a perfect solution for you, but the way the core game handles vamp progression, I had to freeze it to make the penalties go away (and stay away). The core scripts reference a global "vamp" variable...but they don't always use it. Sometimes they just check for the weaknesses. So things end up weird when vamp progression happens in a way that isn't the way the core scripts handle it.
VikingDethLord 28 Dec, 2014 @ 6:06pm
ok cool, thanks man i'll go ahead and resub this mod and unsub blood driven i just figured it makes no sence for your powers to increase when you don't feed, and that mod gave me a reason to feed
cltcoolb  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 5:17pm
Clarification: If you want to keep using all the mods, make sure you *take off* the ring before any feeding or vamp power progression occurs. This allows other mods to do vamp progression advancement, *then* put the ring back on. This should solve most of the conflicts.
cltcoolb  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 5:14pm
Hi again Viking. I can say with 99% certainty that the blood driven mod is what this mod is conflicting with. There was a user with a similar issue a month or two ago (with a mod that flips how feeding works, not sure if it was the same one). This mod assumes that vamp progression works as normal and won't suddenly change. It causes havoc with the enchantment because progression should never advance (get more powerful) with the ring on.

There's no real fix for the issue right now other than to remove the ring and reload the game. If you are using mods that suddenly change or reverse how vamp progression works, then I would recommend not using this ring.

If you do want to continue using both mods, then I suggest that you do *not* feed or use items that manipulate vamp progression while wearing the ring (or have the enchantment otherwise active). Doing so frees up the vamp progression "lock", allowing other mods to change it, and then put the ring back on to "re-lock" progression.
VikingDethLord 28 Dec, 2014 @ 11:05am
the vampire related mods i have installed are, vampire lord wings, lycanthrope and vampirism potions with the vampire lord potion add on, vampire face texture fix, cleaner vampires, blood driven dawnguard version, true vampires seduction, anime vampire blood, and crystal of the damned, if you need to know the names of the authers who made the following mods let me know, if not well they're all on the steam workshop
VikingDethLord 28 Dec, 2014 @ 10:57am
since i installed it, but i have other vampire mods on too, but its stuff like true vampire seduction and stuff that makes vampiric powers more powerful, but that was when i was a level 252 and normal vampiric seduction was too weak to progress further in the dawnguard quest line is when i started installing the other vampire mods
cltcoolb  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 2:15am
Hi Viking, are you using any other vampire related mods? Anything that alters vampire progression will likely conflict with this mod. Has this issue started happening recently, or has this issue always been present since installing the mod?
VikingDethLord 27 Dec, 2014 @ 7:54pm
i'm running into a problem, I have the vampire friend enchantment on a piece of armor that I have on all the time, and when the sun comes up, it show the message your blood boils in the sun, and you are hungry, and I can't move my character at all, same thing happens when I feed, but only when I have the armor that has the vampires friend enchantment

It's in Falion's house, on a table on the right side of the room from the entrance, as per the description. If you don't find it there, you can use the console to load the ring manually using ID xx000D63 (also in the description).
catherinecook 14 Dec, 2014 @ 4:41pm
where do i find the ring?
KG7AcesSuited 23 Nov, 2014 @ 10:33am
Oh yeah. Forgot aabout unequiping too.
cltcoolb  [author] 22 Nov, 2014 @ 10:30pm
EDIT: I'm a bit of a dope. It shouldn't conflict with vamp lord mods, because when you transform to a vamp lord, the game unequips all your stuff, so you won't be using the ring while you're a lord anyway, and when the ring is unequipped (for any reason) the weaknesses are replaced. If you experience any issues with the vamp lord perks mod and this one I would be quite surprised.
cltcoolb  [author] 22 Nov, 2014 @ 10:03pm
@Hcrid,

I read over the perk list, and it doesn't look like anything will conflict. However, I wasn't able to open the mod in the creation kit to verify this (the creation kit reported null pointers and empty string lists whenever I tried to open the mod, and caused the kit to crash).

So far, the worst conflict I've had reported on the comments has been fixed by reloading, so I wouldn't expect you would encounter anything more dire than that. As with anything that may cause issues, keep a hard save prior to installing this mod, and report any issues you have so I can work to fix them, keeping in mind that if another mod expects those debuff enchantments (fire weakness, sun weakness) to be present, there's not much I'll be able to do.

@Everyone else,

Does anyone else have both sOy's vampire lord perks and this mod installed? Have you experienced any issues?
KG7AcesSuited 22 Nov, 2014 @ 9:39pm
It is here on steam workshop. SoY's Vampire lord perks. The perk Obfuscate, left hand fork of the tree, reduces sun damage by 25% while sneaking.
cltcoolb  [author] 22 Nov, 2014 @ 9:28pm
@Hcrid,

<TECHIE DETAILS>

Problems arise when other mods cause vamp progression to change suddenly up or down outside of the way the base game scripts handle it. It's a strange issue, because parts of the game will check for a special 'vampire' flag to see if you are a vampire, and sometimes it checks for the weaknesses themselves, most notably when the function for advancing vampire progression is called.

So, let's say you have a mod that has a script that checks for weakness (e.g. by copy/pasting the core game scripts and changing things slightly to advance progression instead of resetting it). This script will not trigger, or do unpredictable things, because this mod's enchantment has removed the weakness the other mod was relying on to function properly

</TECHIE DETAILS>

If all the mod's perks do is mitigate sun damage, there won't be a problem. Do you have a list of what the mod's perks are, or a link to the mod so I can check?
KG7AcesSuited 21 Nov, 2014 @ 10:04pm
Is this compatible with SoY's vampire lord perks? There are a couple like Obfuscate that mess with the sun damage magnitude, but not outright eliminate sun damage, so it might conflict.

@ Griffin.evans14: I'd like to see a video where you feature a whole bunch of vampyre-related mods, this one included. I'm always curious for new stuff, t.ex special vampyrefriendly houses, anti-penalty enchantments, special immersive clothing etc.
cltcoolb  [author] 17 Nov, 2014 @ 1:47pm
@griffin, that's a generous offer, but I don't think it will be necessary. It's a simple mod with one function. If you can't help but make a video, I can link to it from youtube if you like.
ScissorNipples 16 Nov, 2014 @ 7:13pm
Want me to make a video for this?

cltcoolb  [author] 15 Nov, 2014 @ 3:57pm
Thanks all for the positive comments this weekend!

@newbproject, no, the effect is not permanent. When you remove the ring, the weaknesses come back, and you will be set to stage one of the vamp progression.
Echoe 15 Nov, 2014 @ 3:08pm
Finally I don't have to listen to that horror movie sound at dawn. Thanks!
Geminiye 15 Nov, 2014 @ 2:10pm
is this effect permanent?...... i mean im still gonna use the mod but just want to know incase i want to take off the protection
Morbax 15 Nov, 2014 @ 5:21am
this was much needed in my opnion xD i never liked the debuff vampires get so i always went werewolf
muy_thaiguy 15 Nov, 2014 @ 1:10am
@Frankinstine, there's a few ways. The old way, where you get infected by being attacked by some random vampire. And then the best way, which is to allow either Harkon or Selina (depending on your choice) to bite you during the Dawnguard DLC.
copley28 14 Nov, 2014 @ 11:16pm
lol, just imagine..... Harkon swearing up a storm.... why didn't i just make that enchantment?
Trenburger 14 Nov, 2014 @ 3:05pm
A cheating item, but who gives a sht? With this, i can finally wreak havok in solitude during the day hehehe
Parzival 14 Nov, 2014 @ 1:49pm
i can finally be a vampire and not have to always use potions thnxs!
Frankinstine 14 Nov, 2014 @ 1:18pm
how do you even become a vampire?
otto2194 14 Nov, 2014 @ 10:51am
This is exactly what I was looking for. It works perfectly.
Thanks.
