The maps are cool and all, but I despise the fact that you can't jump over some counters and short obstacles. I found myself being pursued and cornered by a tank, only to die because I couldn't jump over a small fence.
The third level is also very frustrating. You have two tanks spawns at the same time and then an event where you have to rush to the safehouse through some mines where infected are coming at you for every angle.
The levels look great and the atmosphere is on point, but the events leave a bit to be desired.

Can't even begin to describe how good this campaign is. The author is really good at keeping players at edge, yet the encounters are all fair and balanced. The natural environment is pleasant as well with details like cuckoo singing. Definitely a solid 10/10.

Played in Realism Expert, Singleplayer without restarts. The Chapter 3 was brutal, the tanks were spawned 3 times, being the first one had after i left a saferoom and twice in that cave (coach the BOT Solo'd those 2 tanks) then the panic event the zombies were spawning everywhere the bots didnt die or incapitated because the zombies were focusing on me, good thing i had adrenaline and axe (which i can swing 360 degrees due to its horizontal). (Bad English)

We couldn't play map #1 at all due to client randomly crashing all the time (server no issue), and it seems like it limits the slot to 8 players (max 16 slot, just like your Haunted Forest map, locked to 8 something but no crash issue), so we continued map #2, until map #4 in cave where there's like 2 tanks, most of players got very rare crashed "overflowed reliable buffer" (never encountered this before playing hundreds of custom maps). So we decided to stop. Hopefully, you might want to put back the old version of this map, where there's no issue at all...

Part 1: (Due to character constraints, I have decided to break my opinion down like this)
As a singleplayer, advanced difficulty player who does not use bot add-ons, there are a couple of problems:
- The maps are long. While I don't have a problem with long maps, it makes the other issues more noticeable that it does become a negative.
- Lots of witch spawns. The first map is especially bad since they will spawn in the tunnels and the bunker chokepoints. I hope you know how to crown.
- There's a ton of infected. This might be due to the map's length, but in my play through the infected kill count was about 2.4k. My average games are between 1.2 to 1.4k.
- A lot of horde events. Every map has a trigger for a horde or crescendo event. Even at the final map before the finale.

Part 2:
- Frequent tank spawns. There will always be a tank spawn on every level. The third map’s gimmick is that there are a lot of tanks in a cramped area. And the end of the third level has you run away from a swarm of tanks. That section is actually a fun set piece. The map maker makes it pretty clear that you need to run instead of fighting them all. Skill issue if you decide to fight despite the graffiti telling you to run.
- Bots frequently get stuck. The first map is where I noticed it the most because for some reason they get stuck at the car and other spots. The second map one of my bots got caught on barb wire and went down. Thankfully in the rest of the campaign it happens less often.

Part 3:
While I was negative overall with this map, the few positives is:
- The map frequently gives you health and ammo. You will frequently run dry on ammo, and your gonna be eating those healing items. However, without that generosity I would have been absolutely livid at the map. The third map has survivor zombies which is an absolute godsend because you're gonna use all their drops.
- This map is creative and has good design. While you will feel lost at times, it is not frustrating. The only time I got absolutely lost is on the second map where I had to walk over a wooden plank to get over a bus. I didn't see that plank. Adding a few flares on the top of the bus would have helped.
- There is a good amount of Easter eggs. I found a couple, but I have a feeling there's more.

Overall, this campaign may be fun in versus, but it’s a pain in singleplayer where a map wipe means you’re gonna have to do it over again and hope RNG is on your side.

Just listen to my reviews. I have been gaming online since 1998. I have seen great campaigns. This one is in my list of the greatest campaigns ever. It appears the children just want simple easy campaigns. I had never seen an arrow guiding the game play direction before L4D1. I use the lights as my guides. I also love getting lost in giant campaigns. This a work of art. Be proud of what you have done. I have difficulty with complainers. If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing. I hope you continue with this awesome skill you have. I appreciate the time you sacrificed to share your work. The pack of Tanks is a classic. What a most excellent campaign!! This very fun when you use bots only. I was having difficulty the few times I tried to stay and fight the six tanks with them, but we were overwhelmed each time. I switched to my standard weapons a Katana and a full size auto shotgun.
Hordes are no match for Katana. Specials die with one strike most of the time, Tank takes adrenaline and running circles around him.
When the mass tanks arrive I took adrenaline shot and left bots for fodder. Setting off explosives as I ran to the ladders of freedom. Engaging final bombs before safe room, and watch as bots died before proceeding. This the way we created campaigns 25 years ago. Awesome and not baby campaigns. Thank you so much for spending your time to create something so great and then share it for free. Keep up the great work. :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

this map has some very very solid visuals, id even say close to a official campaign in certain parts but there is alot of unnesesary begginer traps especially in map 3 in the tunnels with the boomer trap which just stright up borderlines on glubtastic levels of annoyence. theres also a bit of excesse with tanks, the map reaally dosnt need all that unnesesary bloated difficulty to be good. 3/5

In the last chapter during the holdout section, when you jump on the table in one of those mobile containers, infected pathfinding brakes and they just jump in place, also a tank died on it's own under the bulldozer/excavator thing.

played chapter 2 on expert realism with a friend and it felt just way too long with not enough items spawns to make up for it and a tank that if it spawns in the sewers on the ladder you are most likely dead to

@kurochama Thanks, I know what you mean, but I think the design of the map just for the player to play, ignoring the experience of the single player, is a pretty poor and ill-conceived design. Also, I enjoy the process of leading my robot teammates through the highest difficulty of each map, so I hate all kinds of easily avoided designs that make my robot teammates stupid sacrifices.
In fact, I really like this "Snow Den" map, the scene is beautiful, full of challenges, if not for this "unnecessary" annoying 5 tanks, I think I can get 8/10 (because I think the last level is slightly lacking in visual tension).

@222329404 , just ignore the bots & save yourself then. That area with tank pursuit is meant to escape from tanks, so if bots can't follow you, just keep running & let them become the decoys to give more time to run to the saferoom.

Hello, author. I really want to ask you a question. Did you ever think about the last five tanks in the third level? The robot teammates simply can't avoid that many tanks. It's so stupid, right? If it were human teammates, we could just run together and be done with it. It couldn't be simpler. There's no need to turn back at all. But with my robot teammates, we always get wiped out there. It's extremely annoying. It's just plain stupid. I originally thought this map was very good, but that one extremely stupid design pulled the map's score from 8 to 4!!!!

Be warned.

Map 1 and 2 has no problems but...

Map 3 is WTF! 2 Tanks inside the cave and...... The Crescendo is once you open the Gate, you have to rush at the Safe Room because the only spawn there are 2 or more FREAKING TANKS! Use Adrenaline and forget fighting them!

Map 4 is 3 Tanks, similar to Swamp Fever Finale Tank Spawns. Stay away from the Forklifts.

A must get to your snowy cool-lection! 9/10! XD

also most ppl that still play or a large portion of ppl that play probably use at least 40-50 or more.. some addons change very slight things, so its not that much really,
and yeah it works after ch1, there wasn't any more crash or need to disable addons, so, no worries
