Great campaign, many thanks for the time and attention to detail.

Not sure if i've broken the campaign but i am stuck with all gates and doors checked and played through now except for the gate (4 hex blue square) under the siege engines in the Beheader's spot. Can't get to the blue thingy because the siege engines are on top of it.

As well, when i ask Lord Dawnstar if we're ready and sadly he says we aren't - The main quest line seems stuck at "Three of Six".

Also, i can't find Sister Osaka in Veilbrooke - she isn't among any of the interact-able npc's in town.

Any suggestions?
Ashe Frozt 22 Aug @ 10:12am
YALL I MISSED A GATE! THATS WHY I COULDN'T FIND THE HIDING SPOT.... I'm logging offf i'm so dumb LOL.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 21 Aug @ 6:41pm
Ashe, don't worry about it, you're not an idiot. The Beheader IS in hiding after all. lol. I will try to make a screen shot when I have a moment, to help further.
Cheers
Ashe Frozt 21 Aug @ 9:26am
**POTENTIAL SPOILER**

I may be an idiot... but I spent 2 hours yesterday at the vestige ruins along the paths of the 6th vestige door (the one leading to the lichs) and i was still unable to find the button.

Sorry to hear that! I hope youre recovering well.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 20 Aug @ 8:04pm
I can see the fourth Vestige Gate dungeon is a problem.
I believe this issue is caused by the flyers. Perhaps the Stitcher having true sight. It seems it happens for some people and not others. The map should NOT proc this way. I will fix this and release the update as soon as possible.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 20 Aug @ 7:58pm
I apologize for my long absence. Was recovering from a back operation.
THE BEHEADER: The Beheader can be found on the East side of the Vestige Gate Ruins after receiving the GOLDEN KEY. Once you have the Golden Key look for a button near a sewer grate, it will unlock a fight against him as the hidden door opens.
I am glad to return and see people are enjoying this.
I will address the flyers spawning the entire map for some people at the Lost Souls location. I will have to redesign the map, but this is fine and must be done. Thank for bringing this to my attention, it doesn't happen on my play-throughs for some reason.
You are an amazing community, thanks again. I'll get back to work on this.
Ashe Frozt 20 Aug @ 3:16pm
I have the golden Key yet i'm jhaving a hard time finding the Beheader's location :/
Ashe Frozt 20 Aug @ 3:11pm
I am still stuck to finding the Beheader's location. I can't find that button mentioned in earlier thread comments.
Mad Madrona 16 Aug @ 1:33pm
The flying succubus in vestige 4 (respite and library) can be a challenge. You have to lock them down by round two. I bought sunburst, disintegrate and banish scrolls in town. If you can get surprise on them and keep them from flying up you won't trigger the the other bad guys in the area. It's worth the effort, you get some really cool stuff after this vestige and the boss battle is crazy fun and challenging. Scrolls are your best friend if things get to hard. :steamhappy:
Spectre 20 Jul @ 2:32pm
Use to love this mod but now im stuck with a bugged section that makes the game impossible. im at the vestige 4 location and accessed the library where you encounter flying enemies, which now unfortunately when flying above you alert every other foe yet to be fought in the area, so it turns a difficult but doable fight into a mass battle royal where everyone rushes you to overwhelm. but cant cause of doors and locks so you just have to slowly slog through, which makes it not fun. all cause flying enemies in an enclosed space break the game.
Uthor 3 Jul @ 2:47pm
Greetings!

What a fabulous adventure, truly.

Well written, well designed, thoroughly good fun - and stacks of loot.

10/10.

Thanks!
erdrikwolf 4 Jun @ 8:02pm
The iron key is very late in the game, one of the last things I did before I finished.
It will open up once you have finished some of the parts using the dragon key.
The name is a little misleading since you expect it to be used earlier.
Shells 24 May @ 10:47pm
Does anybody have an idea where to find the Iron Key (to enter The Void)?
Kohgan 19 May @ 2:08am
HELP!
Reached the enchantress at level 8, and cannot seem to be able to progress any further but I also killed the sticher before finding the detective.. did I glitch it??
WTFAreMyPants? 13 May @ 1:14pm
Got the silver key, cleared the Abomination Cave but didn't find any abomination or secret doors anywhere. Don't know how to get the gold or dragon keys as there are no directives in the journal about what to do next. All maps cleared to that point and then have to give up...
Alder 12 May @ 4:55pm
Oh dear... that moment when you check your journal and it says you have the Vestige of the Stormcaller, but you can't remember what it was, or find it in your inventory.

...maybe I sold it. Oops.
seangeno 29 Apr @ 2:30am
This is one of my favorites so far!
seangeno 29 Apr @ 2:17am
what is the vestige of the stormcaller? One of the storm weapons? . . . I didn't notice which things came from him . . .
USAF-GeneralMalaise 13 Apr @ 6:10am
Outstanding module - thank you for taking the time to make it!
Kustomrig.fi 12 Apr @ 2:16pm
i am stuck, i killed sorcerer to get 2nd vestige but i didn't get it, so i cannot get silver key
gelidalama 4 Apr @ 7:03am
Hi all! I cannot find a way to enter the immortal throne and arcane library rooms. Can someone help?
BtechBruh 2 Apr @ 9:16am
I keep running into issues in the battle with the collector where the stitcher's group aggros, but I cannot do anything to get to them because the game doesn't allow you to press switches while in combat. Charles Le Sorc keeps attacking me through walls as well.
BambusBjoern 25 Mar @ 4:20pm
Played it through, now. Great Campaign! Thank you very much. It was such a fun experience.
BambusBjoern 22 Mar @ 9:41pm
I played 3 hours and liked it. Problem is, that spells fail to cast sometimes. Thats really annoying, cause the fights are tough and spells should function. Cant be the game or another mod either, I believe. Everything functions as normal in the official Solasta campaigns. But otherwise interesting Mod!
php-joe 14 Mar @ 10:44pm
Please keep a loot pinata option open for gamer's like me. Sometimes you just want a casual fun campaign.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 12 Mar @ 10:51pm
HAH! GeneralMalaise I love the sentiment but i think you CAN eat too much taco bell!
In the description of this game it says loot fest, and I want to hold up that promise.
However I also feel compelled to listen to the players. Several have mentioned too much loot. This has delayed the next update because as I work on the loot I also am considering the encounters. Some of which will be VERY difficult without being geared up. So really it has me looking at the entire mod and slowing down my update.
Most importantly right now I want to make fast travel.... faster. More tele options. No one wants to spend their time running across the map and dealing with loading screens.
Cheers everyone!
USAF-GeneralMalaise 10 Mar @ 6:12pm
Too much loot!?!? That's like saying "I eat too much Taco Bell." It's just not possible.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 4 Mar @ 6:30pm
fluffytrain that cracks me up, one of the people I DM for irl talked me in to making this in the first place. Charles Le Sorcerer is one of our reoccurring mid boss villains! Thank you for the feedback.

eod_dad, I am in the process of making the next update (v1.4) and you are NOT the only one that has suggested my loot is out of control. You have my word it will be dialed back in the next update for future players.

This has been an amazing community. THANK YOU EVERYONE. Keep gaming!
fluffytrain 2 Mar @ 12:04pm
Just finished my SECOND playthrough.

I want to know if you ever put out another one, I would greatly appreciate you DMing me if you do!

eod_dad 2 Mar @ 5:16am
Just finished, and I enjoyed the mod and gave it a thumbs up.

My only recommendation would be to dial back the loot several notches. It felt so ridiculous that it spoiled immersion. There shouldn't be random crates around town with extremely valuable +1/2 weapons and armor, bags of holding, magical bracers, rings, necklaces, etc. It doesn't feel realistic. It also makes you feel like you haven't earned anything, which reduces a player's sense of accomplishment. I mean I had almost full +1 weapons and armor, a couple of +2 items, and plenty of misc magic items on my level 1 party before I had faced a single enemy, just by fully exploring the town.

I did, however, appreciate all the vendors around town with more variety of items than most mods. Maybe eliminate some of the chests and put *some* of that gear on vendors, to give players something to work towards.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 27 Feb @ 6:27pm
Its actually something that drives me crazy to this day.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 27 Feb @ 6:23pm
fluffytrain- yes and no. it is NOT supposed to be there, but I can not remove it without deleting the map. It is a mod glitch. It is painted to the map in such a way that I cannot select it or edit it. The reason eludes me still...So it remains.
I attempted to put some dialog there that would tell the player - "this is not explore-able"
fluffytrain 27 Feb @ 4:35pm
After killing The Beheader at the Siege Equipment area, there's an exit for Vestige Gate Ruins, but it's blocked by a catapult. Is this intended?
Sinister Ogre  [author] 26 Feb @ 5:31pm
I think you are right Zero. The Stitcher quest is getting some much needed attention with the next update. Their will be more guidance, dialog and quest text to let the players know that the quest is "order sensitive". Along with other updates from player feedback.
I want this mod to be the best version of itself and everyone's feedback makes a difference. Thank you again to everyone playing it.
Ghost 23 Feb @ 7:23pm
So the treasure level on this mod is kind of intense. Like, you have a +2 weapon & a belt of 23 str at level 4 intense. You make so much gold and treasure just rains on to the group.

It also rewards crafting -- as crafting can get you items earlier than you find them, which absolutely rewards you for crafting.

It was a fun play through, but also kind of crazy amounts of gold if you sell everything you don't use. I think I had over 1 million gold at one point.
Zero 23 Feb @ 4:59pm
Stitcher - I really thought you'd find him in the second area or the portal hub area. I didnt know he was in the 4th area so that one fixed itself kinda. As the quest description is, it kinda makes it sound like you could find him way earlier, might need a bit of rewriting

Beheader - I thought you'd get to him right away, too. Like full on, after the first vestige. Needing the gold key should be mentioned by NPCs too, like "You probably need to find a key to enter" rather than him having a secret entrance, cause the doors aren't really secret.

But take that with a grain of salt, we ended up looking around way too long as the descriptions made it sound attainable and we didn't wanna miss content.

Very big thanks for the feedback.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 23 Feb @ 12:53pm
SPOILERS! - THE STITCHER.
Zero - It is harder to help you with this quest as I am uncertain as to what quest step you are on. The Stitcher is a unique quest line because it is the only side quest that is directly connected to the main quest, as we learn the Stitcher has his hands on a Vestige.
If you skip quest steps to this quest, meaning you pursue killing The Stitcher or moving on to the main story line without following the quest steps, you can FAIL this quest.
To succeed at this quest you must find Detective Skeller and speak with him BEFORE entering the City of Lost Souls. You must also turn in The Stitchers journal (located in the Necropolis of Torment near Murder Alley in a room behind a crate) before traveling to the City of Lost Souls.
The quest warns you in the journal this must be done before killing The Stitcher - if you do not follow the steps to this quest and move on, the quest will fail. BUT - its just a side quest and the main story and campaign can be continued.
Sinister Ogre  [author] 23 Feb @ 12:39pm
SPOILERS! - BEHEADER.
The Beheader quest cannot be completed until you acquire the Gold Key (by continuing the main storyline). I think that it where you might be stuck Zero, in that you don't have access the section of the Vestige Gate Ruins that he is hiding out, yet.
If you DO have the Gold Key then you will find the Beheader by searching for a button in the East of the Ruins, near a sewer. This will lead to him and the stolen siege equipment. Killing him will finish the quest. Turning this quest in to Captain Jarvis in Veilbrooke will reward you with a House. Which, is just used as storage, rest, and eventually you can retire there (end the campaign).
Sinister Ogre  [author] 23 Feb @ 12:29pm
Greetings gamers! Thank you fellow adventurers for your recent comments. I am beyond excited that people are enjoying this campaign and completing it! The final challenges are tough let me tell you. I wanted to address some questing "stuck" concerns.
Zero 22 Feb @ 8:26am
Hey there, me and my friend play a lot of solasta custom campaigns, and so far this has been the best one. Fun enemy encounters and plentiful, too. The lore is above average, aswell.

But we are quite prone to breaking and missing things. In this case, no idea how to get to both the Beheader (the first sidequest boss) and the Stitcher (second one). We talked to the npcs and were told to go find the secret entrance for the beheader. But all the doors there need keys and we cant find the secret door as advertised.

It's okay if you spoil the solution, we are fully lost at this point.

Likewise with the stitcher, we did the whole second thing before going to find the guy that gave the sidequest progression (the locked door in the portalhub map) and then returned there, to find that he's near murder alley (or maybe we found a clue near there. The wording is a bit ambiguous) and that his lair is near? We can't find it to the life of us.
Maor 19 Feb @ 4:35pm
Finished it after a few days and it was really fun, i loved the side quests and the sticher part. Thanks :)
charles_watkins 19 Feb @ 8:02am
Finished at level 18 and really enjoyed it. A great variety of scenes and opponents within a concise story frame. Again, loot was quite plentiful and I ended up with all sorts of fantastic weapons. Appreciated the creation and customization of the monsters.

I used an Fighter, Warlock, Monk, and Sorcadin. All sharpshooters. (Who needs scrolls when you've got magic arrows?)

Thank you, Sinister Ogre, for a very good time!
charles_watkins 17 Feb @ 12:58pm
I backed up a level and got the Vestage on the replay. Sometimes the game misses a drop. This was on top of a sarcophagus, where I've seen it before.

The only other glitch was the Lich in Vestage 6 kept hanging the game on his second round. I was hiding out of sight and he'd just move a little and then endlessly shake his arms. He couldn't find a target and would not give up, it appears. It took a frontal assault to keep him in the action.

Anyway, I'm up to level 16 with a maxxed out party and just got v6.I'll report back when I finish. Agree that the loot has been quite generous, enough to buy up all the skill books. Still, a solid campaign with excellently devised battles.
Oltex 17 Feb @ 12:02pm
Would love to see a 6-man version of this (which would require UB mod support).
fluffytrain 16 Feb @ 6:31am
Note to those who are annoyed with enemy Counterspell and Shield spells; Solasta AI is dumb as fuck when it comes to optimal reaction use. Simply have a fast moving character (monk, rogue) run past enemy casters to trick them into attacking you and waste their reactions.

First thing I do when combat starts is locate enemy casters and waste them, making sure they don't have reactions.

Hope this helps !
fluffytrain 16 Feb @ 6:21am
Wow. After 26 different campaigns (many of them good), what a welcome sight this one is!

Usually I wait until I finish before commenting, but I couldn't help myself this time around (I'm level 8). So much so that I might replay it immediately with a different party configuration.

Mostly for all the things dewamann mentioned below. It is SO nice not to bang my head on time wasting things like hard puzzles, backtracking, or NPC chains. I intended to start making my own campaigns if and when Solasta 2 permits it, and I will use your adventure as a guideline on how to do it well !
dewamann 16 Feb @ 12:38am
Great campaign, best I’ve played so far (I’ve played 28 now). Just finished it with 2 OotM paladins, a battle cleric and a SA wizard. Got to level 18 after the final battle. Pros: Great story, effort to reduce time wasting transitions and reduce excessive uneventful exploration time, crafting support, aesthetics, decent equipment while you can still make use of it. Cons: a bit liberal with loot, encounters a bit easy on the whole (on Authentic though with some UB mods which work fine). Thanks for your effort!
Sinister Ogre  [author] 5 Feb @ 4:03pm
If the item still is not there you will unfortunately need to battle him again. I doubled checked his loot drops and he does have the Vestige of Cunning Crow.
Once this item is in your possession, the quest will update and talking to Dawnstar will then give you the Silver Key needed to progress to your next Vestige Gates.
I hope this helps!
Sinister Ogre  [author] 5 Feb @ 4:03pm
Charles, I'm sorry you are stuck. Creog's quest reward key unlocks a chest just behind him. It has a 30 DC to pick the lock and can be unlocked by magic as well, so it's possible that you already opened it by means other than his key.
As far as the main quest goes - picking up the loot dropped from Charles Le'Sorcerer (The loot bag that enemies drop) should have scored you a Vestige.
SPOILERS:
It is the Vestige of Cunning Crow - a dagger. If his loot bag was not there where you killed him, I would suggest two things. The first is to check by the nearest campsite. There will be a respite nearby inside the Necropolis of Torment. Sometimes if loot is stuck in Solasta it will be moved to the nearest campsite.
charles_watkins 4 Feb @ 5:01pm
I think I'm stuck. The quest log says to loot Charles, but I didn't find a body. I've picked up every drop on the sewer map and found nothing out of the ordinary. As a result Dawnstar just gives out info. Nothing about a key. (Creog did give me a key, but I can't find where to use it.)

So far, this has been quite entertaining. If I have to backtrack, it would be worth it.
