Report a translation problem
The tome art is based on existing tome art as you can see the book cover and pages look the same as other base game tomes. For Tome of Endless Winter, I used Tome of Cryomancy as a base. I generated AI art for the mountains since I can't draw, then I painted in the snow and ice covering the rest of the book. Heavy editing to make the colors match and to add the glowing effects.
For the icons I followed the same steps. Mixed usage of base game icons and AI generated art whenever I needed something unique. Painting and editing. I go through many iterations making sure the icons match with the tome and with the style of the base game icons.

- Reduced the PFX intensity for Domain of Endless Winter.

- Removed the rank bonuses for the Frost Guardian and Ice Queen units. They will be re-added when Shield and Mythic units get rank bonuses in the base game.
- Frozen Fury damage bonus decreased from 20% to 10%.
- Updated the PFX for Frozen Burst and Frost Nova.
In any case don't go out of your way to change the Ascension trait on my account, I'm perfectly capable of editing the mod to make it do what I suggested (and I did!), and it clearly took a lot of effort I wouldn't want you to throw away.
- I can look into toning down the Domain of Winter FX.
- I wanted a unique effect for the ascension trait. I suppose players can self balance by not abusing the mount spell. I could also increase the cost of the mount. For a similar cost, players can summon strong units, and they have to spend world casting points, so there is an opportunity cost there as well.
- Yes I had rank bonuses to keep the units relevant into the late game. The game did recently add Champion rank bonuses to battlemage units, so I was considering toning down the bonuses and just keeping a bonus at Champion rank.

The visual effect for Domain of Winter on the world map is a bit too much, especially underground. Is there a way to tone it down?
Ascension: Herald of Winter seems out of line balance-wise with the base game. I've played hundreds of hours without seeing the Severing Golem Tier IV mount once, so the ability to summon an equivalent (and arguably stronger) mount at will falls outside the power level of other ascensions by a wide margin, especially considering all the abilities it comes with. Just giving the ruler the Presence of Winter trait would already be a top tier ascension by itself.
I noticed that both Frost Guards and Ice Queens gain traits on their Veteran and Legend ranks, and I was curious as to the thought process behind that as I'm not aware of any units in the base game which do that.

I do agree that units immune to frozen like Ice Queen and Snow Spirit should be immune to Arctic Blizzard. Perhaps you could post a suggestion on the official forums: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/age-of-wonders-4-suggestions.1137/
I have only one suggestion, can you make the ice queen immun to Artic Blizzards, it's really fun playing as a frostling leader with artic blizzards, but the ice queen cant regenerate because of it, and take frost damage at the start of the turn

- Fixed a bug where heroes were sitting lower than usual on the Scourge of Ice mount from the Tome of Endless Winter ascension trait.
- Increased the scale of the Ice Queen on the strategic map to match heroes using the Scourge of Ice mount.
Heros seem to have also merged with scourge of ice mount.

- Changed Shivering Storm from a Siege Project to a Combat Enchantment. Updated the icon for Shivering Storm.
- Frigid Focus now applies to all magic attacks (from base attacks only).
Tome of Endless Winter
- Updated Hailstorm's effect. Damage is now 20 Frost Damage (from 30 Frost Damage). Duration is now 5 turns (from 3). Mana cost is now 150 Mana/50 Casting Points (from 200 Mana/65 Casting Points).

@Nexious, yes thanks for the report! I've been actively testing my mods on the Ogre beta branch as well. The Ice Queen fix and some small changes will be released April 1st when the update officially comes out.

I'd be really interested in seeing your interpretation of water tomes, since that is the main spell theme from prior AOW games that hasn't had as much representation in AOW4 yet. I completely understand taking a break, and the possibility you wouldn't have any personal interest in water themes.

Are you using any mods? You could try the same test yourself with a new game and only Tomes of Winter enabled to rule things out.
