Thank you. It's really important to me.

I've found the original textures, you can get them here [drive.google.com]. Just place the .vpk in your insurgency/custom folder.

Vanilla AC-556 is dirty and somehow don't fit to the rest of Insurgency weapons. Your clean black version was my favourite cause... Cause it was clean. Also I'm not fan of fancy textures and night sights so please Farengar bring clean black AC-556 back.:)

I'll see if I have the files somewhere, I thought no one used default AC-556 anymore :)

Damn. It was best AC-556 retexture in my opinion. Will you add it again in the future or it is lost forever?

I was sorting out all my mods lately, and it got deleted.

Nice and clean. But I'm not a "night sights fan". Can you tell me where can I find version without night sights?

Simple skins like these are the best.

It's unfortunate that too many people make doofy "camouflage" weapons when all that's really needed is JUST night-sights. That's really the only reason I subscribe to weapons and this is perfect for that.

I have made the layer mask in gimp and remade it to the .vtf file and also generated .vmt file and added the line for the layer mask to glow. But when I repack it as a .vpk, the texture is invisible ingame. I have tried changing the path to the texture in the .vmt but it doesn't help. I have no idea where the problem is, I'll try to poke around and see if I can fix it.

To make it easier, there is a plugin to export/work directly on VTF files, so you don't have to do time consuming loops in/out of vtfedit.

Thanks for the feedback and tutorial on night sights, I'll try to make them.

Very nice, exactly what I was looking for. Hated how dirty the weapon was :happymeat:

Add me if you want help with night sights. If you're using GIMP it will be a lot easier though since I have experience with it.
