i noticed the new update earlier and ive been playing around with it for the past 30 minutes. its SPECTACULAR!!! you've genuinely done an amazing job, it's so fun to mess with my bots on singleplayer and i cannot thank you enough

There is a manual suicide cmd.
As for afk players, I think just using an admin script to kick them.

You should add an auto suicide timer if the player doesn't attack like how the tank has one in case the player is afk or is stuck. and you can customize the time or disable it.

does this mod still work ? i have both the enable script and this mod its not doing anything did try on local server by falling but nothing happends if there is a way any help thanks

i can see your point too. but as someone who mainly plays on singleplayer and a lot of the mods i like cant be used on versus, playing as infected especially in the way this mod offers is just a unique experience. anyways, at the end of the day it is your mod, and if you say it will take time, that is fine by me 😁 i hope i dont come across as brash and demanding about it. after all, there are also other mods you are probably working on and i wouldn't want you to burn out👍

I understand what you mean. I just feel like it's better not to go too far beyond what the Campaign mode was originally designed for. If you want to play as infected, Versus mode is more suitable.

It can be added, but it will require some time.

my thought process is that, with the mods current functionality, i am not in control of where i spawn. meaning there are times when i become an infected at an bad moment and just immediately get killed by survivors anyway. since ghost mode is impossible thru vscript, i thought this could be another way to do it, as i do know the mechanic im picturing is possible due to this mod called team switch/ morph script showcasing the same behavior in the third gif

ahhh, perhaps i worded things in a confusing manner. my suggestion/request specifically also only applies when players are dead, i dont mean it to be switching into infected at any time.

im not sure how exactly my suggestion is at odds with what you said. 🤔 i just want to be able to decide where i can spawn while im a spectator, type !infected or something along those lines, and revive into an infected. and you shouldnt be able to spam the mechanic unless you have cooldown set to 0, otherwise it will prevent you from spawning

The main purpose of this script is to make the waiting time less boring for dead players, and potentially decrease the difficulty.
Besides, if a Bot SI is using ability and the player switches, it can cause a bug.
So I don’t think it’s a good idea.

is it possible to include a setting where you can turn into infected at the press of a button? or maybe through chat command? but it still needs to obey the cooldown timer seting. what do you think?

is it possible to add the ghost mode? so that we can choose where to spawn? there would be times i would spawn in a fire and then i have to rush my attack.

If the player is also black and white, this issue may be because the player can't be killed when a map is about to transition.
And this can not be resolved unless SourceMod is available.

Another bug, when playing multiplayer with other players. After transitioning to another level uncommonly they will spawn in T-posing and are still playing as the special infected on their screen, but in reality they are just a t-posing survivor the whole time.

Love the shit out of this mod, I'm not sure if this is a me problem or the addon. But when a teammate joins and is dead and is playing as the special infected and leaves the game, it closes/crashes the game for the host.

I really love this addon but I have an addon that gives special infected powers which kind of breaks this addon sometimes. There's a powerup where when the speical infected is killed it will spawn more of it self, there's a high chance that it will spawn you as a survivor with infected ui and arms.

You mean you set EnabledTime 2 and still got switch in Tank Run?
Or ghost issue?

If EnabledTime doesn't work, it's possibly due to an error in one of your scripts that is causing the loading of the settings to fail, since this didn't happen to me.

Ghost issue may be fixed in next update, I have figured out a method and am testing to see if it works.

Ladder issue is unsolvable by script, I think. It's texture related, and replaced by a custom texture may fix it, I guess.

@skysky199 after a bit of testing it seems like an issue with tankrun, you get switched at random and ai tanks spawn as ghosts(?) for a brief time but only in that mutation, a more important issue in general/coop is that some infected ladders are not visible to players, they work but are not visible

Try using Notepad++, delete setting file and recreate (by script).

作者大大,又发现一个问题
当特感玩家活着进入下一关变回生还者后,他的第三人称模型会变成默认的首选生还者
比如在一代角色的战役是变成bill,二代角色的战役是变成nick
模型的变化会一直持续到该玩家从小黑屋或者用起搏器复活一次

You can commit suicide to take over tank (need to wait for the cooldown counter).

如果附近有“没启动”的tank,那闲置中的玩家会去接管tank,同时玩家控制的生还者依然会存在
特感玩家死后也依旧可以通过起搏器或“小黑屋”复活,同时之前玩家控制的生还者依然会存在
