Assuming the issue is that the mount point where your mods are stored is being switched around somehow, putting them in a static place could help the game find and load them.
Your mods are not being loaded at all, the texture ones work because Elin handles them differently but you likely can't use any other mod either, you'd need to see something like:

Are you on Mac, Linux, Steam Deck or some emulator?
At this point I'd recommend trying to get help/searching on discord/steam forums as I have no experience on those environments, no idea where to point you to.
im a tard i was looking in the wrong folder. I dumped the player.log file in pastebin but the only errors i fond with a ctrl f is a shader one. I tried removing all mods but yours with no change. i wonder why i only seem to be able to get portrait mods to work
The Lafrontier folder is where all your saves, etc are.
Are you only using cloud saves (no idea if that doesn't write locally)?
Your game would still start but I would expect your settings to be reset each time and for you to not have any saves...
Like I mentioned, maybe it's a bad config from the last update messing things up, it'd be best if you could try fully reinstalling the game to check (while obviously trying to backup your saves).

I checked but i dont see any Lafrontier folder in the LocalLow folder for some reason

Search for any errors during mod loading most likely if you're not seeing anything, or anything that seems like an error (or you can paste that somewhere for me to take a look).
Another thing I remembered is that the new update has a prompt for accepting the terms when using mods, I have seen some people mention that it causes some configuration corruption, but if your other mods worked it's probably not that.
You could always try to make a copy of that Elin folder for backup and deleting it, the game will generate a new one and reset your settings and you can see if that helps any.
Very strange, try unsubscribing to the mod or deleting the mod folder and rechecking files through Steam (you should do that anyway).
Do you also have any error on your Player.log file?
i only had cosmetic things but even with everything off still isnt working
Mod is working fine. It could be being blocked by some other mod that also tries to insert new dialogue is an overly intrusive way and blocks mods after it. I'd recommend disabling mods until you can find what it could (ideally starting with everything but this mod disabled and seeing if that works).
It does not. Are you using a specific translation? Does it not have the option at all or just when buying?

I got some strings wrong it seems.

You mean the one in the barn? That's included.
Although... if you're in another language it's possible it doesn't work because of the dialogue check.
Can you post here what the equivalent for "Oh, you have pretty good taste!" is in the language you're on? Unfortunately I cannot find this dialogue on the text files so I don't know the translation to other languages.
Pets are handled the same as slaves (unless there's some different pet shop I don't know).
I still don't envision too many issues outside of the ones I had already found like not having any choices at all and adding one breaking it but that shouldn't happen.
Anyway, let me know where else you see this not working and I'll look into it.

What other scenarios are you seeing this on?
It'll probably be better to change the behavior to be active only in specific cases for now instead of being active on everything except specific cases (for example, this broke dialogue when no choices were available as the game actually expects no options to progress in specific cases).
