@SJTHEGAMER

Have you tried enabling the FNAF Decode Module? Go into the console and type in "fnaf_megatron 1"

Hope that works for you!
SJTHEGAMER 19 Jun @ 7:55am
everything is error
DesktopMemes 3 Jun @ 2:50am
Ah no worries lad, glad I was about to help out @Gavin The Gamer
Gavin The Gamer 2 Jun @ 9:05pm
NVM I got it working, sorry.

@Gavin The Gamer

The missing models/textures might be caused by Lost Coast not being properly mounted or installed on your system. Make sure you have Lost Coast installed and mounted in the Source SDK 2013 settings. Perhaps enabling the megatron vortex drive might help issues with FNAF debugging. Try running "hl2_fnaf 1" in console command and lmk if that helps! :luv:

As for packing the assets — THG avoided it to keep the file size small and avoid potential copyright issues. That said, he'll look into including essential assets if more people run into this problem.

Appreciate you pointing it out!
Gavin The Gamer 30 May @ 3:26pm
This causes error models and missing texture even when I do the manual installation

Maybe you should pack the assets with the mod?
DesktopMemes 1 May @ 12:35pm
@HOLY PYRO

THG can't replicate this. It seems like the Lost Coast assets are not being loaded for whatever reason but I don't think this mod is causing that.
THG recommends following the installation from the disclaimer in the description instead if you are having issues and enable FNAF if possible to avoid encountering any bugs.

i have wierd bug... most of stuff just turned into error backround has missing textures and city just dosetn exist and fisherman holding big juicy error maybe i have some mods that maybe causing it
DesktopMemes 30 Jan @ 7:28am
@tam5tam_

While it's not an issue directly related to this addon, it might be due to either a conflict with another mod or a glitch in the game’s dialogue system. If you haven’t already, I’d recommend verifying that your mods are up-to-date and checking the mod load order. Sometimes disabling other mods temporarily can help narrow down the cause.

If the issue persists, you might want to check out forums or discussions specific to the LC mod to see if others have experienced the same issue. Hope that helps! :steammocking:
tam5tam_ 1 Jan @ 2:29pm
Ik its not this addon, but does anyone know how to fix the fisherman not talking at all during LC?
L6061 25 Dec, 2024 @ 8:02am
Well, Lost Coast is built in HL2 itself just like the episodes, idk how to get lost coast independently from Steam version of HL2
THG  [author] 23 Dec, 2024 @ 2:15pm
Doesn't touch models. You must be somehow loading Lost Coast through default HL2 so it's not loading the assets.
L6061 23 Dec, 2024 @ 1:29pm
all models are errors
SpaecKore32 16 Dec, 2024 @ 8:48am
this brakes the menu
DesktopMemes 15 Dec, 2024 @ 1:02pm
@MikelovMK-IX Have you tried enabling FNAF? Worked like a charm for me :3
Mikelov IX 14 Dec, 2024 @ 10:02am
i disabled all addons and still cant hear the fisherman
THG  [author] 14 Dec, 2024 @ 6:37am
This doesn't touch sound files or .vcd scenes. You might have some other addon causing the issue
Mikelov IX 13 Dec, 2024 @ 6:09pm
i cant hear the fisherman speaking,
gryglicki 13 Dec, 2024 @ 1:57pm
Yeah I know now. Sorry for my lack of reading skills.
THG  [author] 13 Dec, 2024 @ 11:12am
Read the disclaimer. Either only enable the addon when you want to play Lost Coast or follow the steps in the description.
gryglicki 13 Dec, 2024 @ 7:18am
it breaks the menu scenes, I only get the c17 hl2 scene
THG  [author] 13 Dec, 2024 @ 2:37am
Either you have something weird with your workshop addons or you're somehow trying to load Lost Coast without loading its game assets.
The main gameplay map is not touched at all and neither are its textures. All I can recommend is fixing your mods, loading Lost Coast from the main menu through the "Extras" section or following the steps in the disclaimer.
DrXtale 12 Dec, 2024 @ 7:34pm
textures explode-
ilyaborsh 9 Dec, 2024 @ 11:49pm
wtf i have a fucking missing textures...
THG  [author] 7 Dec, 2024 @ 4:34pm
The helicopter doesn't have a stop attacking sound by default in HL2 so that sound goes unused anyway.
Jariner 7 Dec, 2024 @ 12:36pm
I've found that theres typos in the "npc_sound_gunship" file
Which is why errors like
"Failed to load sound "^npc\attack_helicopter\aheli_charge_down.wav" exist.
Removing the ^ in them fixes it.
Jariner 7 Dec, 2024 @ 1:15am
Very nice, most of the modding community doesnt really bother trying to fix Lost Coast compared to Half-Life 2.
THG  [author] 6 Dec, 2024 @ 1:56pm
Yes. It reimplements idle, water warnings (kinda see description), dialogue leading up to the gate, player death mourning and a few other things you probably won't notice because you only spend 30 seconds with the guy.
Jariner 6 Dec, 2024 @ 11:33am
i only ask because i remember reimplementing it myself, had no where to post it though so it was just kinda there.
Jariner 6 Dec, 2024 @ 11:30am
do the reimplemented unused lines also include the unused player death fisherman lines?
THG  [author] 5 Dec, 2024 @ 1:35pm
No, that seems to be a lighting issue that Valve would have to fix.
Drag0n 5 Dec, 2024 @ 1:02pm
Does this fix the flickering ceiling texture inside the church?
Bananaful 5 Dec, 2024 @ 7:50am
help i lost the coast :steamsad::steamsad::steamsad:
THG  [author] 3 Dec, 2024 @ 8:37pm
There shouldn't be any inconsistencies with the addon if you follow the steps in the disclaimer.
THG  [author] 3 Dec, 2024 @ 8:36pm
Yeah. You would have to copy the addon to hl2/custom, have them overriden with another addon in ep2/custom and then disable the addon in the workshop menu (or unsubscribe because the workshop is inconsistent in saving your load order.) Remember that addons in the custom/ folder will be overwritten by any workshop addons you have installed as they take priority
Qualm 3 Dec, 2024 @ 6:52pm
Also just one last question, if putting the contents of this mod into the lostcoast folder only affects Lost Coast (Right?), would this work for other addons? Like if I wanted an addon to work for Base Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 but not Episode 2? It's annoying have to enable or disable addons between games because of how slow it is.
Qualm 3 Dec, 2024 @ 6:47pm
Nevermind I just reenabled all of my addons and its works fine now, now my biggest problem with this mod is just how inconsistent it is to get working.
Qualm 3 Dec, 2024 @ 6:36pm
Good news, I have found out yes, it is conflicting addons, I'll make another post once I find out what it is.

THG  [author] 2 Dec, 2024 @ 3:43pm
That image could only occur if you managed to load the map in base HL2 without loading the Lost Coast assets. I suggest following the installation steps in the disclaimer
Dr. Zaius 2 Dec, 2024 @ 3:15pm
are you suuuure this addon is done as intended
