Yep. On the 2002 model, the Gunship is done more in the Strider's visual style, and it's side port...things look not dissimilar.

The selfillum front is definitely questionable. I couldn't really get the "beneath-the-skin" subtle the Alyx texture has.

this is great, the little logo on the side of the head is a really good touch and the vent/grill thing on the back of it's body or carapace looks really nice when glowing. my only suggestion would be to add normal mapping (duh) and maybe remove the glowing part on it's shoulder because from a front view, it looks like too much is happening visually, and because the glowing shoulder part doesn't match the eye color
