The game slows and freezes when you install the mod version 4.30
If someone took and updated this mod, I would be glad.

when the miner is searching for asteroids the game freezes for 10 seconds, without this mod all works fine.

Is it possible to get the ships to automatically destroy empty asteroids as well? DV.GT.4 currently puts me at about 2FPS due to the huge number of tiny asteroids (note that I have not run this mod yet).

I'm using it in V3.0 and then V3.1 without obvious problems. But I have not yet looked closely to see if it is functioning correctly.
