Works perfectly with some blocks (27 normal blocks or a large grid large thruster) requiring their respective components and welding it, but when it comes to a big ship or just a singular miner ship, it becomes crazy.
Lukencio™ 25. sep. kl. 20:23
Hey uhmm, i managed to build a great part from a miner (4 drills, 8 batteries, all normal blocks) using only steel plates, and it consumed like 7000 of them...
It didn't only transmutated the steel plates but it disappeared them too.

I have around 215 mods in my world. I'll try again on a new world with minimal mods.
Hyligan 22. sep. kl. 19:39
A beautiful wall, it glows, but it doesn't work – it neither cuts nor welds.

Are there any mods that could be conflicting, or might the issue be related to a game update?
DragonLord2000 (Mario) 25. aug. kl. 21:19
Hello, I think the mod is very good and actively use it on my servers.
It is an excellent alternative to conventional welders/grinders.
However, I would like to see a few things expanded, e.g. redesigning the buttons so that they can be controlled via buttons and timers. The reason for this is that I would like to build a shipyard and then integrate it into the automation system.
Thank you very much.

this doesnt work. ive built it properly, within the size limits, ive got more than enough power, everythig is enabled. disabling and reenabling the corners makes the green welding area appear for like half a second but then dissapears

Hey, any chance you might make this repair dents and deformations on armor blocks, too? Would be really helpful!
Rumsar 4. juni kl. 16:30
Thanks for the response!
I've used the half block and its just a touch too low. I've tried bracing it multiple ways too.
And hopefully not to sound too needy, think there might be a way to have them switch between grind and weld with an event block? I tried and it was no option for that.
Math  [ophavsmand] 4. juni kl. 15:25
It would be possible, however you can just add half blocks on the bottom of the floor, there is no line of sight check. I dont remember if that'll cause it to grind the half blocks though-
Rumsar 4. juni kl. 9:00
I had a question. A buddy and I are loving this mod so thanks for it!

We were wondering if it would be possible to add a displacement for the welder line. It would be similar to how the rotor heads can be slightly adjusted. That way we can make the welder line and the bottom of pit to weld up small grid stuff. Think it could be done?
VikingTalon 14. mar. kl. 16:11
would be great if idk there was a tutorial
VikingTalon 14. mar. kl. 16:05
built it properly but and see the welder wall
gambler01omega 12. mar. kl. 18:11
So if i read this right this welds and grinds depending on settings? Only other question i can think of is this locked to space or can i pop this on a planet aswell?
6Satanic6Panic6 21. jan. kl. 11:21
hey been having issues built a large frame 62w 58w and its been wonky not starting randomly grinding the ass end off my ship etc i have 3 reactors and like 40 batteries just wont work now
Husk 15. jan. kl. 21:58
When i tried to make a ship from projection it seemed to take all my recourses and only weld a part of the ship even though i used projection to assembler to make the missing parts but it made me make the missing parts 3 times and it still wasnt done completely
Math  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. kl. 18:01
The closer you get to MaxPower the the faster it will weld/grind to the MaxSpeed config value, the scale of power to speed is roughly linear (then half max speed when half max power). ActionsPerTick is a performance option, lower it if you lag too much when welding or grinding.
Ancaritha 14. jan. kl. 17:29
Super cool mod that makes it way easier to repair my large battleships after taking them to Unidentified Signals!
I was wondering if you could explain what the different settings in the config do. There is an actions per tick field, a speed field and a max power field. How exactly do actions per tick and speed interact, and how does power factor into it? I can shove tons of power into the walls but what does that actually do besides drain all my batteries? :)
Richard Potato [NYR] 12. jan. kl. 2:01
I was also having the same issue as Cold_Far and Imp.
Setting the Power Input on the welder corners to 100MW has resolved it for me
Imp 11. jan. kl. 10:49
Have the same problem as cold_far. It doesnt weld ...
VorgartenDiktator 10. jan. kl. 7:47
As far as we were able to notice it does not fix dents but repairs the block. so the dent is there visually but does not get buffed out.
Cold_Far 7. jan. kl. 3:03
found a bug? The wall welds like 1% and puts in all the components, but doesn't weld to a completion
Math  [ophavsmand] 31. dec. 2024 kl. 10:49
The default max limit in the config file is 50, you can see the max size ingame using the blue lines
yafeshan 30. dec. 2024 kl. 18:19
Is there a size limit for system to work? I divided my non-functioning welding wall to 2 rectangles and both new rectangles work now.
yafeshan 30. dec. 2024 kl. 11:00
Same here, everything is connected but it doesn't work
Adalynx 25. dec. 2024 kl. 3:34
dont get it to work, is there a script or something else you need? i see in the last picture of this mod in the control panel on the bottom right under refine speed, yeald rate and power efficiency you have "inventory in, inventory mass" and all that, i dont get it. ive built a square, put a large reactor directly in one of the corners and filled it with uranium. still nothing happens. and im in creative btw
Raven 16. dec. 2024 kl. 18:46
Hello, amazing mod. I have been using it for the last 5 days or so and it is great. I just figured out where to find the config (thank you Stollie). Is there a setting to repair dented blocks I have not seen? No matter keep it going and thank you very much.
beskyeduardo 9. dec. 2024 kl. 19:36
I was thinking that if the welder wall is forced to be an static grid, it cannot be used as weapon on a ship, because it only could exist as a static voxel tied grid... actually not tested if i can build this wall on a ship or a movable grid truly...
beskyeduardo 9. dec. 2024 kl. 19:32
I not tried safe zone, now you say that i could try that... may be even worse if it eats safe zone.. i mean the shileds from mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=3154379105
that shield makes damage to whatever it hits if it can not repel it. I passed with a smal ship with shield that fit entirely inside a big wall and the shield not intereact anyway with the "red" frontier of the wall, and as soon as the ship got to the red it was dismantled as it should be in normal means.
Math  [ophavsmand] 8. dec. 2024 kl. 22:19
By shield do you mean a safezone, or some mod?
beskyeduardo 8. dec. 2024 kl. 20:55
Hi, is there a way to make it not work when you put throught it a ship with shields active? I'm using this in my server, today i tested for stability and how bad can be putting high power and high amounts of debris trought it, it works great, but i tested a ship with shield and it was grinded like any other. I put a warning to not use as weapon or could have ban player or get wiped but if there is a way to make it not work to shielded structures should be more easy to control.
Stollie 7. dec. 2024 kl. 19:46
Hmm pretty sure this thing is eating components.

I can build a ship to 100% then grind it down using the wall, then suddenly I'm short on components on a re-build of the same ship I just grinded down.
Stollie 7. dec. 2024 kl. 4:21
You also have to up the power draw, I found 100MW (100000000 units), which is 1/3 the power of a Large Reactors output, worked well if you want to see instant results, otherwise its many passes back and forth.
Stollie 7. dec. 2024 kl. 3:50
I put mine really high for testing purposes which results in instant grind/print for every block in a slice. This WILL cause your game to lag when you weld multiple blocks that have a lot of code functionality tied into them at the same time: -

# EasyConfiguration; auto-generated config file
# Surround text in "Quotes"
Speed = 10.0
MaxPower = 1E+09
MaxWallSize = 50
MaxActionsPerTick = 5000
Stollie 7. dec. 2024 kl. 3:50
Cool mod!

For those that cant get it working its because the default settings have been set really low to maintain performance from say a sever using them.

If you go into your local save game files in single player there is a config file in the Storage folder called "3370792625.sbm_Math0424"

Up those settings to what you're comfortable with if you want faster print / weld OR if you want to maintain performance you will simply have to use an event controller or something to make a piston go back and forth to allow for multiple passes until the weld or grind is done.

Its pretty slow for either function with the default settings.
big k crystal 5. dec. 2024 kl. 14:49
cant gt this to work, will not weld or grind
[DKS] Killaim 5. dec. 2024 kl. 14:44
I asked over and over in the begining of SE for the devs to bring something like this to the game. but i phrased it badly. a "3d printer". over and over. and then they for some reason made it so you could port your creations and 3d print them in real life. i really hope i was not to blame for that
Beats-With-BothHands 5. dec. 2024 kl. 9:43
if only microsoft did not update my computer and delete my save where i was build a vaygr flagship. this could have been a game changer
Sanka 5. dec. 2024 kl. 7:04
@Lancer-2201 Almost posted the same thing
nyannokonekko 4. dec. 2024 kl. 21:15
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED
Tbh for my private server I use Build Repair Nanobots mod for building but its a lil OP, and this mod looks like a great balanced way for ship production :cinnamon2: :nekoheart:
Mindlessmrawesome 4. dec. 2024 kl. 19:11
@Lancer-2201 Was just thinking that ffs
Fine Gentleman 4. dec. 2024 kl. 17:10
@Dots No, it's a welding wall. its a wall that welds. A welding wall that welds. How does it work? Well, so first there's a wall. And then it welds. Why? Because it's a welding wall that welds whatever needs welding.
Lancer-2201 4. dec. 2024 kl. 15:30
Mayyybeeee
You're gonna be the one who saaveesss meeeee
And after aaaallllllllll
It's the welderwaaallllll
HeavensGates 3. dec. 2024 kl. 15:24
Looks real nice and will be a great improvement to my ugly old walls!:heartmia:
JayJayFlip 2. dec. 2024 kl. 11:56
*tunes an acoustic guitar for too long*, okay, anyways here's WelderWall.
Dots 2. dec. 2024 kl. 7:29
Oh so its like build and repair system but without the flying arrows all the time?
Hikari 1. dec. 2024 kl. 10:39
Imagine needing a video to understand something that is self-explanatory lmao.
Math  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2024 kl. 10:35
Im not sure how else to tell you this, but it's a wall that will weld or grind grids :os_niko:
Dots 1. dec. 2024 kl. 6:33
can someone please make a video and showcase this mod so we can better understand what we are getting?
HighTechPizza 1. dec. 2024 kl. 3:27
looks nice, but how does it work? I cant find the walls of welders and grinders on steam workshop
