Stephince 23. sep. kl. 11:01
Not sure what to say about a mod like this. Can't imagine how much work goes in to it. Many thanks!
Homuya 22. sep. kl. 18:53
Not the most impressed, it looks good in alot of areas and battles but some have HYPER fog that is so thick you cant see anything with such extreme wind speeds that its bugging out all the light sources. Also way too many particles in some battles.
Karazykrew 20. sep. kl. 11:52
Dope mod, immersive and rad. Thanks.
TerriblePlayer 19. sep. kl. 1:09
Hi! really great mod but would it be possible to include lighter amount of particles choice, perhaps? Some battles are really hard to fight, like night and against khorne...
DiViNe NeKO 18. sep. kl. 18:50
This mod seems to cause distortion and texture bugs when its used with other mods that include new units into the game.

You move cursor over units in battle and the game will suddenly create distorted blobs of shadows or textures that appear around the units, I think it is caused by graphics rendering of this mod's lighting/fog effects that messes with the unit draw distance and skins.
Vanbergen_der_unechte 14. sep. kl. 9:08
to much night battles. pleace reduce
n.pedrazalis 13. sep. kl. 8:39
i cannot see anything during the night or attacking darker fortress and for some reason the ligshts of my units turns off
Caucasoid Subterfuge 12. sep. kl. 4:50
Any chance that this weather mod also causes changes to visibility for the units?
Rhino™ 8. sep. kl. 15:22
Forget the night time haters.. haven't been in a forest at night apparently..
Great job on mod
Coolgatty 5. sep. kl. 13:25
in my example by the way: the map has a moon in the sky. Usually when the moon is out it is not pitch black under a tree. So even if youre considering realism, its way too dark in my opinion.

Again though, thanks for the hard work and let me know if youll consider toning down the shadows.
Coolgatty 4. sep. kl. 11:32
maybe a slider on the shadows brightness? i dont know if the framework allows that kinda thing
Coolgatty 4. sep. kl. 8:31
I agree with Celtica, but i dont think reducing amount of night maps is the answer, i think you should look into making shadows/night areas have more light. Right now i literally cannot see units unless im highlighting them if im in a shadow at a night map. Please look into maybe configurable shadow intensity or just make shadow areas brighter.

example shadows extreme vs off: https://imgur.com/a/fGXK2Hg

i love the work youve done and appreaciate the effort, but shadows need to be less dark. It would less realistic, but more playable.

I actually really like the concept of night battles, just cant see anything.
Telesne 2. sep. kl. 4:27
Amazing amazing mod, truly truly enjoyable. Thaks a lot!

Just a little "bug". When this mod is activated, the wind effect in the campaign map is going crazy, like it is at maximum speed, giving a strange feeling to the map.
Bigot Sandwich 31. aug. kl. 19:12
really great mod love it boss, just need to tweak the night and the amount of snow myb, sometimes i cant see shaisa lol
VanGoth 29. aug. kl. 0:01
Amazing mod. Can't see shit when I have it enabled lol
Mr.Freud 28. aug. kl. 11:32
Love the mod, but nights are unplayable when using HDR :( any way to fix it?
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. kl. 6:08
@unseen_pin Hey there! In my mod, the frequency of night battles depends on several factors. First of all, if you're having battles under Vampire Corruption, it will mostly be night.
If you're fighting in the Empire with 0 corruption of any kind, then battles will randomize between 13 possible environments: 10 are day time, 3 are nights. If you're getting nights all the time then you're either fighting under Vamp Corruption or you're being very, very unlucky with the RNG :)
Celtica 23. aug. kl. 2:28
Haven't been able to get into this mod, as its very dark in the night battles, and even in the shade during the day. Think there needs to be a rebalance of this to be useful to most players/setups.
Johnny 22. aug. kl. 0:53
It definitely makes some battles quite immersive but it's really hard to see anything in some battles..
unseen_pin 22. aug. kl. 0:05
Love the mod, but the amount of night battles is overwhelming. I am playing as Elspeth right now, and it feels like almost every battle is a night battle.
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 31. juli kl. 9:59
@Chase Mate Honestly doesn't sound like something related to this mod!

@Fujiro No, not yet, its the one map mod i haven't integrated yet in mine. Will probably do some time in the future.

@Operation G.E.L.T. I know what you mean, it is so in other TW games and i wish i could. But its well beyond my modding capabilities as it requires a lot more meddling. I actually don't even think it's possible in TW Warhammer for how the game itself works with the weather environments.
塔木尔可汗 30. juli kl. 22:09
I understand that the proportion of night scenes is set very low, but vampire corrosion is everywhere, which leads to unexpected nights appearing many times. I haven't made an exact count, roughly there are too many battle scenes at night. I hope to see clearly how my soldiers fight, so as to further reduce the proportion of night occurrences in various situations. Great mod!
Operation G.E.L.T. 26. juli kl. 17:03
Could you make it so that the weather grants effects to the battlefield?
Debuffs or Buffs for units and so on.
S.S.O. | Artegor 19. juli kl. 4:00
Great!
asshoe 15. juli kl. 22:36
@Draky

How did your fix it?
Fujiro 12. juli kl. 5:44
is this mod compatible with Fort maps mod
Chase Mate 6. juli kl. 21:57
Not sure if your mod causes this... but I am now De Syncing with my bro after playing consistent campaign for awhile. I'm wondering since your update if maybe that's been causing us issues. It's always on Nekhari Keeper of Secrets battle. I can go through other battles just fine up until him and it always desyncs. Could this be the battle weather mod conflicting post battle. As in loading up values inconsistently?
Draky 5. juli kl. 4:07
@John Matrix

Guessed as much, thanks. Ive actually restarted the campaign with a diff LL and the crashes went away.

Btw on a different topic would you consider making the wood elf siege defence map brighter?

https://imgur.com/a/t1Nm2O2

It's soo dark it's genuinely hard to play on it imo. And it's not my gamma/monitor. Game's gamma's default, monitor gamma has been Lagom'd
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 4. juli kl. 7:45
@Espritviril`` Thanks for the kind words! However there is no real way to tone down just a specific fog value through MCM im afraid. Vampire corruption has 3 different possible environments in addition to the natural nights of the area. Only one of these is the foggy daytime map, shrouded in vampiric mist. You shouldn't be encountering it all too much. I will take a look though if it needs some tuning, though i have already toned down the fog in this environment in the past.
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 4. juli kl. 7:43
@Renegade Rabbit Thanks! I have toned down the wind quite a lot in one of the latest updates, i won't be toning it down more, sorry! However, wind is not too common, so you shouldn't really be encountering it all too much unless you're being unlucky with RNG.
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 4. juli kl. 7:42
@Draky I definitely think my mod has nothing to do with it. I've been using it for years now (before publishing it) and i've honestly never crashed. Also, you're the very first user that reports a similar issue. The only crashes it can cause is after a major patch with DLC, when CA adds new Quest Battle maps to the game and i don't update the db table, the game crashes on launch. The mod itself changes very "minor" things pertaining to the game files, no way it would cause a crash during a campaign, let alone while on the campaign map. Must be some other issue i believe!
Draky 4. juli kl. 2:06
Okay so this is weird, but after installing this and playing for 10 hours by game has crashes like 3 times during random things, loading screens, clicking on events, etc. Previously played 10 hours with the ult lighting mod on the same patch and hasnt crashed ones, and i dont recall tw wh games crashing at all for me before. My PC's fine

Any ideas? Could the mod have brought up the crashes even on the campaign map?
Renegade Rabbit 29. juni kl. 13:55
I love the mod, but I frequently notice that the strong winds on many maps practically make my gunpowder mods redundant what with how fast the powder clouds get blown away. Is there a way to lessen this effect somewha?
Vedat Çölgeçen 28. juni kl. 10:52
Update pls
半场开香槟 28. juni kl. 7:45
The tunnel where the rats were intercepted was too dark to see
Espritviril`` 23. juni kl. 9:19
Agreed with Loki. I love the mod its gives a lot of needed flavor, but I feel that in empire fights against the vampires are too foggy.

Is there a way to turn down the fog? A MCM menu to keep few options would be nice.
Varius 19. juni kl. 2:20
Hey, great mod. On Vampire maps in shadows I can´t see my units because it´s to dark. The other parts where there is more light trough the moon are okay. Any solution to that issue?
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 17. juni kl. 10:47
@Khazukan Kazakit-ha! i have no noticeable effect on my performance on my end.
Khazukan Kazakit-ha! 16. juni kl. 17:03
does this mod affect performance at all?
any fps drops when your mods are used?
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 10. juni kl. 10:42
@ThePupPeTmAsTeR The Empire weather is inspired by its RL counter part but warhammerized to how i'd imagine it should be. It's obviously also based on how the weather is always described in the lore. Currently, it cycles through 13 possible environments, 3 nights and 10 days. Its generally always cloudy and/or foggy with possibly rain (heavy or light), some snowfall or no weather effects. You can check the first screenshots of the gallery for a variety of different Empire weathers. You can get the sun in the sky but its still always partially cloudy. You will never have sunny clear skies in the Empire. You will find plenty in Bretonnia or the Badlands though.
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 10. juni kl. 10:42
@DastFight Corruption on battle maps is engrained in the game, there's no way to remove it. The only way is manually modifying every single weather file for each corruption type for every singlemap. But considering the way i did this mod, which is entirely based around the single override files and not the "main" weather files, thats is a huge amount of work.
ThePupPeTmAsTeR 9. juni kl. 20:48
Does it always rain/fog in empire settlement maps, or do they have sunny weather as well?
󠀀 4. juni kl. 1:04
And you,my friend,are a true hero!
DastFight 3. juni kl. 13:57
Juat curious, is there any way to remove the corruption on battle maps? It’s just the bane of my existences. Tried it several times myself, but no luck so far. Don’t know where to look anymore. I tried to find the function, rather than edit the weather files though
Doomnayer 22. maj kl. 23:50
@John Matrix: I "only" copied Day_Clear_1 to Night_Clear_1, then 2 to 2, cloudy to cloudy, and then one titled Ostankya something. After playing for a few days its has been very satisfying (to me). I still get a few dim battles but overall, perfection.
I think the problem is, while variety is inherently good, players have zero strategic means to decide what weather they want to play/see. It makes equal sense that vampire want to fight at night but humans want to fight them at day, so.... Well, accept my heartfelt appreciation for your work. I feel fortunate being able to work upon what you have built.
BlackDragon2601 21. maj kl. 21:53
Hi John. The Wooded Parts of Battle Maps, dont seen any Wood Elf Settlement so far. I'm curious to see what effect the update will have now. Thanks for your work.
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 21. maj kl. 15:32
Night Environment Update:
Been doing a second pass to all my night environments, trying to find the correct balance of brightness whilst retaining the immersive and atmospheric goal of the mod.
Currently getting real close to making nights too bright for my taste!
I have tweaked and sometimes significantly increased the brightness of the nights in the following regions:
- Empire
- Bretonnia
- Athel Loren
- Sylvania
- Kislev
- Norsca
- World's Edge Mountains

Will get to the rest in the following updates.
John Matrix  [ophavsmand] 20. maj kl. 10:10
@BlackDragon2601 Hey there, thanks for the kind words! However, what do you mean by Wood part? Do you mean the Wood Elf settlement map? Or do you mean that it's dark for you only in the wooded parts of generic battle maps? Thanks!
BlackDragon2601 19. maj kl. 20:48
Thank you both. On my Side its roughly every Wood Part on a battle map (not the whole map, just the part in the woods). Maybe i will give it a try with the screenshots. I'm not good at collecting and uploading data. I already avoid it in my work wherever I can. So it's better not to expect it. Nevertheless, I can only recommend this mod. The overall atmosphere is terrific. Can't praise it enough
