Battle Weather Overhaul

Description
INTRODUCTION
This mod is a massive, complete overhaul of battle map lighting and weather effects for every single map in the game, including every custom map added by Waka's Campaign Battles, GCCM BETA and Custom Siege Map Compilation mods. I've created several hundreds of different environment presets, with unique lighting-weather-skybox combinations, new weather effects, a new moon texture and a lot of brand new skyboxes not utilized in vanilla.
In general, every main environment of the WH world (eg. Empire, Sylvania, Lustria) will have approximately 11 to 14 different environment presets randomly selected before every battle, sometimes more, somtimes less. Out of these, i've decided to keep the Night environments to a total of 3, so they will be much less frequent than day maps, unless Vampire Corruption is high. I’ve tried to make every part of the WH world feel as unique and distinct as possible, with their own feel and visuals. As a result, there are only a few instances of identical environment presets being shared between different geographical areas, and even then i tried differentiating them with weather effects and lighting.

The primary goal of this mod is to provide varied, dark, atmospheric, more loreful and immersive visuals to the game, bringing it closer to the lore and to my vision of the WH world. This means that visual clarity and gameplay is not a priority and takes a step back, which means this mod may not be for everyone. This also means that nights are...nights.
This mod is a more gritty and ‘grimdark” alternative to the very popular and amazing Ultimate Lighting mod, which puts visual clarity and gameplay very much in the forefront. You can freely switch between the two based on your preference! And truly a huge thank you to Mazisky himself for his invaluable help, especially when I first started working on this!

This mod is intended to go alongside the visuals provided by my Campaign Weather Overhaul mod.

This mod MUST be played with VFX Detail set to Ultra. Anything less will significantly affect the visuals, reducing or outright removing a lot of the weather effects.

I'm aware this mod is currently very big in file size. The reason is that i currently chose to retain in the mod every skybox i utilize, and these are huge files. CA has occasionally removed entire skyboxes from the files in between patches, or has switched up file names and such. So i'm a bit scared this might happen again between the major patches, messing up big parts of the mod if it were to happen. As of now, i'm keeping it this way but i'm still considering tweaks to make the mod smaller.

ENVIRONMENT VARIETY

There is a gigantic of variety environments, weathers and presets, impossible to describe by text. I could try giving a breakdown of each geographical area and corruption type, but that would become a huge wall of text. There are countless environments that, due to RNG, you might not even ever see in a campaign, but I wanted to provide a lot of variety and uniqueness to each area, so this is the way! You can expect tropical monsoons, violent blizzards, gloomy nights, golden sunsets, intense sandstorms and much, much more.

To help give a clearer and quicker impression of the vibe and visuals this mod provides, I provided a lengthy gallery with loads of screenshots for each area. But even these are just a small part of it all.

CORRUPTION

Since there's currently no corruption screenshots in the gallery, i'll give a quick rundown of what you can expect.

Skaven Corruption
Fighting with high Skaven Corruption currently cycles through 2 unique environments. One is a day environemnt, cloud and foggy with a minimal green tint. One is a gloomy cloudy night with a green Morrslieb shining bright through the clouds. Depending on the region you're in, both can have green warp sparks in the air as well as warp tainted ash, rain or snow falling from the sky.

Vampire Corruption
This corruption cycles through all the regular, natural night presets i created for the region + 3 unique environments visibile only when this corruption is present. One is a day shrouded in thick vampiric mist, one is a green tinted night, with an abnormally big Morrslieb shining bright, one is a bright night with a cloudy sky (inspired by Nosferatu). You'll also see bats and ghostly spirits flying about. Rain or Snow can be present too.

Undivided Corruption
Cycles through 2 possible environments, one dull and cloudy one with a more apocalyptic sky. In both, ash will be falling from the skies, either gently or violently. Snow or rain may be presente depending on the region.

Khorne Corruption
Red tinted, with red sparks and possibly bloon rain of varying intensity. Regular rain or snow may be present.

Nurgle Corruption
Fetid, corrupted, dark, full of toxic spores and flies flying in the air. Rain or snow may be present.

Slaanesh Corruption
No real unique weather effects for now (WIP too here). Expect pink-tinted skies and lighting, and ash fall too. Rain or snow may be present.

Tzeentch Corruption
Blue-tinted, with magical embers and blue sparks in the air, as well as magical floating rocks in the distance. Rain or snow may be present.

COMPATIBILITY
Compatible with the main map mods on the workshop: Waka’s Campaign Battles, GCCM Beta and Custom Siege Map Compilation. I will keep adding their maps as they keep adding new ones.
Compatible with my Campaign Weather Overhaul mod.
Should be compatible with everything else.

Obviously not compatible with Ultimate Lighting 2.0, since both do the very same thing. You’re free to switch between the two depending on your taste!
The mod is probably not compatible with Seasons and Holiday mod. I don't think anything crashes when using both, but I'm pretty sure they won't work properly together and things will get overidden between the two.

SPECIAL THANKS
To CA for creating this massive game.
To Frodo45127 for creating Rusted PackFile Manager.
Huge thanks to Mazisky , author of Ultimate Lighting 2.0 and veteran modder who paved the way for anything related to environments and lighting visuals ever since game 2! Thanks for the support and extremely helpful tips and suggestions you provided, especially back when I initially started this very long endeavour!

Not sure what to say about a mod like this. Can't imagine how much work goes in to it. Many thanks!

Not the most impressed, it looks good in alot of areas and battles but some have HYPER fog that is so thick you cant see anything with such extreme wind speeds that its bugging out all the light sources. Also way too many particles in some battles.

Dope mod, immersive and rad. Thanks.

Hi! really great mod but would it be possible to include lighter amount of particles choice, perhaps? Some battles are really hard to fight, like night and against khorne...

This mod seems to cause distortion and texture bugs when its used with other mods that include new units into the game.

You move cursor over units in battle and the game will suddenly create distorted blobs of shadows or textures that appear around the units, I think it is caused by graphics rendering of this mod's lighting/fog effects that messes with the unit draw distance and skins.

Any chance that this weather mod also causes changes to visibility for the units?
