I have a lot of skulls instead of a portal gun 😭🙏

When i press the binded key it just gives me a Skull... Not what i was hoping for, but there are other mods out there with Portal-Gun's for HL-2.

idk why but my game just crashes when i try to get the portal gun, with impulse 101, for some reason crashes, and when i try to go to like d1_canais_o2 it thinks i wanna quit and quit me

the portal gun isnt spawning, i've reboudn the key cus it wasnt actual bound and i moved my portal install and nothing happens

just get portal gun addon from gmod and play hl2 with it

I will give you guys a huge hint of this workshop addon but you guys didn't hear it from me it's a troll workshop addon you guys subscribed from but the video i show you guys is my own hl2 portal gun mod and i will not upload it to the steam workshop

- hl2 workshop has been added in the 20th anniversary update
- this mod wasn't updated to work alongside it
What was the point of even adding it in the first place? Now I have to go scrub through the addons folder and fish this shit out of there only to use it on a completely different version where I have to put it in manually anyway. This is just another way to install this mod but in the shittest way possible.

@Alεjo Épsilon sorry to say this the workshop publisher will not respond to your questions of the matter of the mod/workshop addon everyone is trying get the workshop publisher for help but they are not responding

I've been testing this and seems like doesn't work with the Aniversary Update because the files are a copypaste of the original mod in moddb. The Complete Edition and the Half-Life 2 (without the Episode 1 and 2) are 2 folders separate so this only is compatible with the Legacy Edition or preupdate (i've been testing with the files of moddb AND the workshop at the same time, so i'm not sure if is necesary download the mod of moddb, you can test in the Legacy which one works). I hope the original creator make an update with the new version. sorry for the bad english.

just use the moddb version linked at the top it works perfectly

so this is a sourcemods mod? then why is it on the workshop if it dosnt change anything in hl2?

I have no idea how this mod works, I have portal 1 installed and I don't think that did anything, besides just spawning in skulls, which I assume is either a glitch or a representation of this image

Either A, there's an ID Conflict, B the mod is not properly tested for use through the workshop, C it is SUPER buggy or D, this is a troll and this mod should be completely removed from the workshop...

didn't work for me - using the spawn portalgun bind it provided just spawned skulls.

1.Works on newly updated Half Life 2 version?
2. Does it work straight out of workshop?
3. What to do to make it work?

Got legitimate Portal and Half Life 2 versions installed on C: drive.
All it does is spawn skulls when Give Portal Gun button is pressed.

Anyone succeeded running this?

i really don't known i just subscribe the workshop addon then i launch hl2 open the map to play the portal gun works and also the video is now unlisted so hoping it work this time if not let know so i can fix it

The content seems to sorta work, I can see the "give portalgun" control within the keybind menu but it seems to not be able to give the portalgun..

Now to be fair, I havent done what it states in the original mod description with having Half Life 2 in the same drive as portal but I have also used the original mod from ModDB whilst Portal is on the same drive as the mod and Half Life 2 being on a different drive and it seems to work fine..

I am gonna be testing this out when I can but I dont know how long it will take since I want to make a backup of Half-Life 2 on the drive incase my pc dies (I have a suspicion it will someday soon XD)..

I will post when I get results..
