I only had Deeper Down installed. Plus, I reloaded a previous saves from a couple maps before that one, and when I got up to that map, she did fall into the square hole.

@ScotisHedgehog7744 Alyx's behavior tends to be broken by some of the mods on the workshop. It's best to uninstall them before playing mods with her included.

Good mod, I enjoyed it! I'm a little confused why an area was reused exactly from the previous mod, but still fun. I like the last area in the cave.

@Badge Collector the mods you've got installed are breaking the game. you need to uninstall them. you only need to shoot 3 or 4 crows.

hey... a scene should play out between the NPC and alyx then she should open the door and continue. The most likely cause of the problem is another mod you have installed that is interfering with this. Any mods that change the look or gameplay of half life 2 could cause this so it's best to uninstall them before playing custom campaigns.

I'm running into an issue where, after you help alyx shoot crows, she walks up to the NPC in the next room and just sits there. The door is locked and progess is impossible. Any idea?

i believe there are 3 bosses in this level (i might be wrong) the first boss is a gunship i believe and the second is an antlion guardian and the final boss is some what the striders and overwatch generators

Some areas were fantastic, original, and intuitive, while other areas needed more work. I would've loved a little more time at White Forest base, but that's not a really valid criticism, more of a personal wish. I found a couple of bugs, and I would suggest using the restart command in the console any time you go into a new map just to flush out any bugs. Otherwise, fantastic mod!

While there were some confusing parts, I really enjoyed this. You can see all the work that went into it and you created something that felt big and sprawling. Thanks for all the hard work. Very nice job.

Here's a Tip for the Start of Campaign

You Don't need to go through the Headcrab Infested Part of the base. To the left of the Tunnel where you grab the Crowbar is a pile of barrels, stack the barrels in a way to climb over the fence that the G-Man is behind.

This one was, unfortunately, a step back from the previous. The head crab part at the start was almost a quit moment for me, I didn't realize that I needed to flip the breaker box. Also, running through the same section of the previous game was eh. Did we need the rolling concrete tube again? Did the Combine pick it up, reinstall it and then do the same trap? The repeat is a relatively smaller sequence but ideally it would have been done different.

Was a fun campaign overall though. Nice work!

Good maps and gameplay but it sometimes is SO confusing where to go or what to do. I used to think that the scene where the rebel knocks over gravguns is a bugged way to get the gravgun.

A good experience nontheless (fuck alyx)

I've seen the ugliest and crudest use of ivy textures in this mod. I'd give it a "dislike" for that alone, but I won't because I liked it overall.

@Asterix2008 PL you don't take the car any further than that... you need to continue on foot... once the cannon is destroyed look for the hidden vent... behind the wooden crate...

In the factory, after entering the room with the cannon, after killing the soldier and destroying the device that stands there, no door opens and nothing happens. We can't bring the car into the factory area, We are blocked and the game cannot be completed. Pity.

Oh, and I don't know if this was just an after-effect but going back to the first time I played this before the resets, Alyx only lost her shotgun when I went by the TV at the start of the campaign, you know the one that has the Ring footage on that I IMMEDIATELY noped away from the second I saw what it was.

Scratch that, she shot ONCE out of the rebel's twenty shots, so she seems to work but only when she feels like it.

Ok, testing Alyx during the crow section, she never shot once, the only NPC that was shooting was the rebel in the courtyard.

But if I had to nail exactly where this bug seems to start is around the same building that's infested with zombies because Alyx in both of my reset attempts (when she had the shotgun) just wouldn't attack them either so it's not exclusive to the combine.

I'd have to see if Alyx shoots the crows at the start since she starts with the shotgun, no lie though when I first played this campaign (before doing a number of resets because I thought I soft-locked when Alyx climbed onto the wall and just wouldn't move afterward) Alyx straight up lost the shotgun so she was running through the zombie infested building completely unarmed.

@cursed hawkins no i didnt introduce the swap until deeper down. i think you're probably right. have you spotted when it actually starts? or could it start at any time do you think?

Yeah, I'm suspecting it was the swapping from shotgun to pistol that was causing that issue with Alyx not attacking while on foot, because I booted up "Welcomholm" and she's working fine, in fact now that I thought of it, Alyx might have been working correctly at the start of this campaign as well before she even put the shotgun away.

So, I might have an idea on what might be causing the issue of Alyx not attacking Combine (at least when on foot) I think when making the code to have Alyx switch to her pistol before getting into the Jalopy is causing this issue as both versions of Alyx are their own NPC and in Episode 1 it's subtle but Alyx does get replaced with another version when she picks up the shotgun, it's just not very noticeable because its during that transition in Episode 1, now if Alyx was meant to do this in Deep Down then this bug happened there as well except in reverse as Alyx still functioned properly (even when the model was replaced with something like Uzi Doorman from the Murder Drones web series) both inside and outside of the Jalopy.

@Jim_Partridge_Mapping Appreciate for not going straight to the "Must be some other mod problem" reply- because replacing every weapon with skins somehow affects NPC AI according to someone else.

im stuck at the end of the car ride (i suppose that the end of the ride) near the metal garage door. there is invisible combines behind these doors and thats it, nothing happens

Okay maybe I mistake somethin: But Alyx refuses to stay in the car in the crane section.

Try playing without her for a while, need noclip- yeah something's borked.

same case for me, alyx doesn't shoot the combine at all.

Not much that would modify weapon behavior, I used plenty of character change especially with the combines and Alyx but they all worked fine on "Deep Down".

Is Alyx not being able to shoot whilst on foot normal? Seen her use her normal gun whilst on the Jalopy but she switched back to her shotgun after dismounting it. Also some T-Pose here and there.

This felt like i was playing a full Half-Life 2 Mod rather than a custom campaign.

I quite love how this campaign turned out and i had fun playing it. the level designs were awesome, and i had a little laugh at the guy making the gravity gun part.

I'll give this custom campaign a 9.5/10. Good job Jim Partridge :OkaySir:

Okay, I liked the "original" sort of speak even tho it was rushed in the end section and felt too empty and repetitive with all those generators but it had it's own charm. This one - oh boi~
Love the moment where you need to get a gravity gun, (Subtle joke with it in the bunker too) variety and style of environments is good - from White Forest to the deserted docks to the dawn coast to the underground Combine HQ, puzzles were interesting but they pretty short but that's okay, the ending really feels dramatic but I have feeling like battle should've been harder or at least not being interrupted after you turned off the generators - it confused me in the moment.
Overall it's solid 10/10:steamthumbsup:

Does anyone else have a issue where Alyx does not fire her shotgun or gun and at somepoint does not even have her shotgun? could be because i have the Halo shotgun mod isntalled
