This mod is designed for standard trucks. If you just insert the def folder, the mod will not work this way, because the anchor point of the item will change in the truck section, which is located in the Vehicle folder. The Def folder contains only scripts, instructions for the game, where the 3d model is located, price and other parameters. Mods without 3d graphics just use scripts that are in the def folder.

Ok i'm guessing it wont work for custom trucks then

I can't understand why this simple mod should be so complicated, in which the positions of the standard attachment points of the accessory in the cabin are simply changed. In this mod, all the work is located in the vehicle folder and the mod works fine without the def folder at all.

what if i send you the open def file? its about 27mb so maybe a link to download?

If you want this mod to be compatible with custom trucks, I need this other mod. So that I can unpack it and change it in a 3d editor, more precisely, I need the points, their name and position in the cabin. I need a link to this mod.

is it possible to add a def file for custom trucks like the Highway Killer etc?

Я не планирую менять положение точки навигации для остальных грузовиков, поскольку в кабине есть встроенный навигатор на приборной панели. Мод работает только на стандартных базовых грузовиках игры.

I do not plan to change the position of the navigation point for the rest of the trucks, since the cabin has a built-in navigator on the dashboard. The mod only works on the standard base trucks of the game.

I did not delay updating the Kenworth W900 mod to support the new 72 Flat Roof Sleeper cabin. I also noticed other models that also need to move the navigator's installation point, slightly higher or closer to the door.

Yes, this works on the W900, except for the new type of cabin with a 72-inch Flat Roof Sleeper. The navigator in this truck is located in the center of the windshield next to the weighing sensor. By the way, now I know which mod needs updating. There will be time and mood, I will correct the location of this new cabin.

hello,i using a W900 KW, will this work in that truck ?

There will be inconsistencies in any mod from different authors, as no one discusses mod compatibility when creating their own mod. Each modder does as they please. Many modders use standard accessory attachment points to ensure compatibility with the game. I am often asked to add compatibility with other modders' mods, and if possible, I do so to meet their requests. However, I could choose not to do so to avoid cluttering my mod with other people's points. This mod is compatible with other mods, as described in the description. If the new point is not a game point, it can simply be added to the mod's structure. However, if you are using a standard point, unfortunately, this will not work. If you rotate the point for one mod, the second mod and others will display the item in the incorrect position. This is why it is challenging to adapt different mods for the same accessory type to ensure compatibility in the game.

Combining the fashions of different authors is a difficult task, as it is a complete reworking of the accessory's position in the salon by different authors. For example, we have 3, 4 mods for accessories from different authors, we take out navigators from them. We place all navigators in such a way that they do not interfere with the interior and do not enter the textures of the interior. If necessary, we create new anchor points for the object. In fact, a new mod will be created since we have to upload it on our behalf. But there will be no compatibility with mods from other authors, since the position, or rather the rotation and tilt of the standard anchor point, will be different if the position of this standard point has changed. If you chose the second option, created your own point with your name and linked all your navigators to it, then compatibility is possible, but it is possible to overlay textures of the navigator body when using other mods on the navigator.

Any chance this could be made into a separate item slot? This would make it compatible with other GPS mods. I did so for example with other mods. I'd love to use this mod in my company trucks and another mod in my custom show trucks.

Perfect, it always bothered me a little that the gps obstructed the view.

The mod for the new navigator position is compatible with two other mods for the Mack Pinnacle cockpit. It is compatible with CB - radio pace 166, and the MB Mack Pinnacle mod. If you are not using the CB - radio pace 166 mod, then only the MB Mack Pinnacle portable radio will be in the cockpit. Separately, the CB - radio paсe 166 mod and mb Mack Pinnacle are not compatible. Since the mb Mack Pinnacle mod does not have a point for linking CB - radio paсe 166. And only the navigator mod combines them.

I am really enjoying your mod. I use it combined with the MBB Pinnacle mod installed as you described. I do have the CB, however the air horn cord node is not available. Is it something unavoidable? Thank you.

Thanks for looking into it, whatever the outcome I appreciate your efforts. I am not a modeller so it is all abstract for me. Thank you for your work. I was not able to see the photo but it's all good, thanks again!

Ghost, I did a test in the GPS navigator mod and added a point from the MMB mod. The MMB mod has its own interior parameters, the points from the GPS navigator mod will not work in them. I can only transfer some points from the interior. This will be GPS navigator compatibility with MMB Mack Pinnacle. It is enough for the mod's author to move the navigator point to another location himself. There is a seat to the left of the steering wheel in the Mack Pinnacle cabin. Well, or just above the standard place so that the navigator does not cover the mirror. I can't promise yet. Now my task is to make updates and add new models.
Ghost 15 Nov, 2024 @ 8:58am
Is it possible to make your mod compatible with this one for the Pinnacle: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3333583803
Whichever is on top of the mod list works but the other doesn't. I also left a message in their comments section.
Thank you for your work.

Guys, good news. I managed to link Cb radio support to the mod. The update will include 2-3 new models and support for cb radio.:104: Ребята, хорошие новости. Мне удалось связать поддержку Cb radio с модом. Обновление будет включать 2-3 новые модели и поддержку cb radio.

Nice was looking for something like this. Is the W900 on the cards?
Ghost 12 Nov, 2024 @ 3:38pm
Good work around on the Cascadia, thank you for the update!
Ghost 11 Nov, 2024 @ 1:44pm
Good point, thank you for the explanation.
ВилХомХод Vk  [author] 11 Nov, 2024 @ 10:11am
On Cascadia 2024, it is already difficult to place the navigator to the left of the steering wheel. On the way to it there is a door handle and a rearview mirror monitor. There are only two options in such a salon. Lift the navigator mount above the standard point or move it to the center of the windshield, as in the Volvo Vnl model.
Ghost 11 Nov, 2024 @ 7:52am
Great idea, I like it, thank you. I mainly use the Mack trucks. Do you intend on adding it to other trucks in the future, I'm thinking Cascadia?
