Just updated the mod to 1.6, hope everyone enjoys it :lunar2019piginablanket:

Sorry for the wait, since this mod its actually a bit more complex than the others i had to divide the versions since i had to make some changes.

Even so now you can still have a pet rock in 1.6 :er_heart:

Alright sorry for the wait, been busy and a bit lazy too. I made it so that it checks every 60 ticks or like every second or something, it should be way less of a horrible laggy mess now.

I had a hunch it would be a script like that, good luck with it. Maybe just reduce the check rate to once a second or something to reduce lag?

Hmm odd, that is the first time someone tells me about that but yeah i guess i can understand why.

This is my first mod that actually has a script and to avoid rocky from bleeding and to make its corpse into a real boulder if it dies i am sure i made it to be checking pretty much constantly for any incidence.

Ill try to look into it and see what i can do. Thanks for the info :praisesun:

This sounds really adorable but it seems to cause horrific TPS lag. According to Dubs Performance Analyser, RockyHealthComponent is wasting nearly a full second in my colony, despite having no Rockies in my colony.

Hmm idk, can't think of a way of knowing wich color its using and then depending on the color making it a different type of rock when it dies.

Kinda went on the easy route by making it white and just turning the body into a marble boulder cause it looked similar.

Eh a body and a head its fine enough at the moment but if you publish that living rock mod ill take a look and see if i can make rocky just a body or something, appreciate it

Making a custom Body is actually quite easy. I know how to do it myself. Perhaps I can help you? The Rocky is basically the exact same thing as the Living Rock in a Mod that I work on, so it'll be compatible.

It should appear in every vanilla biome. The chance of that its a bit low tho, wouldn't want to see a group of these things with scaria :zote:

I at first tried to make a custom body but failed miserably so i made it a snake.

It has a body and a head and well its internal stuff.

I left the source code and usual xml's to see in the mod so all you gotta do is click go to folder on my mod in the rimworld mod manager if anyone wants to use it to learn to make a creature or something.

I had some of these turn manhunter. While it was so funny to watch this slow, really slow avalance of doom heading to my base, they were also absolutely unkillable for my poor pawns. I had to use the Dev tool to kill them, otherwise they would have been fighting for eternity xD

dude this is sick for some reason i laughed at this more than i should lol, and well id love to see what else you come up with, i do have a idea id love to randomly dig out a mountain and have a boulder turn into one and be aggressive by nature because im disrupting there habitat that aside awesome job

@Yobarlsushcatel Nope can't reproduce at least in terms of birthing other rocky's, think its something with how it handles illnesses and scars so it just gets rid of being pregnant immidietly.

Also RJW with rocky? Thats nuts man :stress:

Nope nothing to get from them after being killed. If the mod doesn't have a problem it should turn into stone immidietly.

It technically has meat and leather but since you can't get it by normal means its just normal stuff.

Man, I work on a Mod that added this EXACT THING into it three years ago. Great minds think alike!
