Rocky

Description
Introducing: Rocky

Ever thought your colony could use some heavy-duty, mobile boulders? Meet Rocky, a living, breathing (kinda?) rock companion that’s ready to add a whole new layer of... solidity to your RimWorld experience!

What’s in the Rocky Package?

Defense Like a Fortress:

With ultra-tough armor against sharp and heat damage, only blunt forces like maces can crack Rocky’s solid defense. Immune to fire, toxic fallout, and all those pesky illnesses, this rock is one invincible companion!

Low Maintenance:

No meals required for a whole month! Rocky's diet is sparse, making it the perfect companion for those low-supply moments. It can’t reproduce, so no worries about an avalanche of offspring cluttering your colony. And with zero filth production, your base stays clean.

Glacial Pace, But Worth the Wait:

Rocky's slow movement speed means it won’t be winning any races, but don’t underestimate its usefulness! It can haul cargo like a champ and even be saddled up with mods like Giddy-up for some... unique transportation.

Advanced Training Capabilities:

Because seeing a rock obediently carrying supplies or helping around the base never gets old.

Cuddly (Somehow?):

Rocks can nuzzle too! That’s right. Rocky can charm colonists with affectionate nudges, because cats shouldn’t have all the fun.

Rarity & Integration:

Rocky won’t flood your maps, but it’s not a mythical beast either. Expect to encounter them on rare occasions in any place.

And When Rocky Falls…
If Rocky ever meets its end, it peacefully returns to nature, transforming into an ordinary marble boulder. A humble finish for a mighty stone.

This mod is my first real dive into C# coding beyond XML edits, so feedback and bug reports are greatly appreciated.

Don't think there would be an issue, that would be cool as shit.

will it work with a sentience catalyst?

Just updated the mod to 1.6, hope everyone enjoys it :lunar2019piginablanket:

Sorry for the wait, since this mod its actually a bit more complex than the others i had to divide the versions since i had to make some changes.

Even so now you can still have a pet rock in 1.6 :er_heart:

Alright sorry for the wait, been busy and a bit lazy too. I made it so that it checks every 60 ticks or like every second or something, it should be way less of a horrible laggy mess now.

And thanks for talking about any issues, i appreciate it

Here's how it was going for me now https://imgur.com/a/Mf4m4lO

I had a hunch it would be a script like that, good luck with it. Maybe just reduce the check rate to once a second or something to reduce lag?

Hmm odd, that is the first time someone tells me about that but yeah i guess i can understand why.

This is my first mod that actually has a script and to avoid rocky from bleeding and to make its corpse into a real boulder if it dies i am sure i made it to be checking pretty much constantly for any incidence.

Ill try to look into it and see what i can do. Thanks for the info :praisesun:

This sounds really adorable but it seems to cause horrific TPS lag. According to Dubs Performance Analyser, RockyHealthComponent is wasting nearly a full second in my colony, despite having no Rockies in my colony.

I now have a manhunting Rocky and the thing will not die. It's very amusing!
