I'd love to add more models, especially more popular species, but all good models cost money and i can't buy them due to sanctions. If you want to supprt the mod you can buy a model for import at gumroad, so far every model i imported was gifted to me there

have you enabled the mod in world settings?
saddly is not working for me...when i go to the medic room the only models that appears are the spiders, the wolf and the astronauts, i tried to remove all mods and also cleaning the mod folder (the folder with the numbers)

Im sorry but Novabeast and NKD Protogen characters are temporary removed from the mod. The models were obtained from not official websites and i didn't own any of them. As for remaining protogen model i was not able to find its official source and for avali the model is public as far as i know.

I checked how animations work and it sounds possible to replace only specific ones, like Idle, I'll try adding it to default animation controller, but probably a few weeks later. And not sure if it'll even work.

As possible workaround to keep general mod compatibility at least for doing an idle tail animation, couldn't you just add the necessary bones to the vanilla skeleton and animate a basic tail sway that way? Sure, when in cockpits it will stick out the back, but then again it already does as a static tail. Most creations tend to have the back sides of cockpits covered anyway (well proper cockpits anyway, not control seats in most situations.)

That makes sense, I just did a test with that mod, a few cockpit mods, and a hand weapon mod, can confirm that that is the case. For every mod cockpit that didn't use the same character orientation as one of the vanilla/DLC cockpits Rocket was in a standing position floating above the seat. The hand weapons visually pointed straight down if it wasn't using a vanilla animation, although the reloading animation still worked.

i don't really want to stick to default, but changing animations for every action is a lot of work and to make it compatable with other mods the maker of the mod must make custom animation specficly for my character

Custom animations will probably break any other modded animations like sitting in custom cocpits, and animating is something i've never done in SE. I've tried changing default skeleton to change size of a player but bone positions are tied to animations and however i move them in game it stays and rotates from the same place where it was.

The other is tail animations, in that mod Rocket's tail has a slight sway when not moving and it bent in the opposite of movement when flying or walking/strafing. I don't expect the movement one if you do implement tail animations, a slight sway would be more than enough to make your characters feel a little more alive when just standing.
I figure that you haven't done either of those already is because you wanted to stick to the default skeleton for compatibility reasons, if you plan to stick with that that's cool. I like you mod a lot even without those additions.

I've pretty much used this character mod exclusively since I found it. It's my favorite and the best one since the Guardians of the Galaxy character mod. It's been abandoned for years now really only had Rocket Raccoon finished at the time. There are 2 aspects that that mod had that would be cool if you could implement them in your mod, if you can and want to of course.
The first is size (this one is more of recommendation for the other mod if you make it), in that mod Rocket can walk under horizontal half slab blocks in large grid and can fit through a 2x3 whole in the wall in small grid. In short it would be neat if you had variations in model/collisions height for some characters (doesn't have to be Rocket small though).
