As is tradition. Let's just do a full refactor, break it up into microservices.
Great mod.
I am experimenting with the Customize Weapon framework on my other mod. It adds the attachment functionality, but is still being actively developed and isn't stable at the moment.
If I do rework the mod it will take a while.
I will look into the 1.6's system of weapon attachments. Having these weapons modular and having the ability to build them with any setup was something I wanted from the start.

@Xale86 have you considered making the recipes for the guns require their basic version?
pistol would be awesome, sniper, mg and pumpgun too...
I didn't add any tactical pistols because I don't usually use pistols and I wanted to keep the mod small.
Drum magazines could be interesting. If I make any more weapons I might use them.
This is my first mod for Rimworld and its a learning experience. Perhaps one day it might be possible to switch attachments around, but at the moment my modding skills are nowhere near anything like that.
