Why do I feel cheated due to the bug people are mentioning, everyone talks like i need to experience the new interface, otherwise the fixed version would be the most subscribed and not the other one --- people rather the modern interface than working gramophones??

It's kinda sad to know that specifically this custom story doesn't work properly (gramophones don't work and dialogue too), if you scroll down below you'll see Oghma Infinium's solution to this problem, the only thing that changes is the interface, but fixes all problems.

But hey, this CS is great, like great great, don't let those first steps before playing correctly fool you...

Everything in the journal, notes, diaries, mementos, are randomly disappearing and reappearing again whenever they want. Since mementos are gone, proceeding further becomes harder and sometimes impossible without looking at a walkthrough video or guide. This is sad because, although I haven't finished it yet, I can say that the mod is one of the best in terms of story, level design, enemy design and other aspects. And also, only one of the gramophones did tell me things, the other were silent. The mode combines the dark descent and a machine for pigs greatly, so please resolve these issues, and it will be the best.

Great mod, looks amazing and the main enemy was scary. The overall atmosphere was great and I enjoyed playing it. some sections have a bit of questionable game design like the completely unnecessary hedge maze, but luckily those portions were brief. would recommend.

Unfortunately, the game crashes for me when I try to enter Ward. I have zero idea how to fix it.

SOLVING THE GRAMOPHONE PROBLEM.
If your gramophone doesn't start and the door doesn't open, then you need to do this:
1. Start the gramophone.
2. Wait 1 minute and 30 seconds from the moment of start.
3. The door will open.
The game script that opens the door works INDEPENDENTLY of the gramophone. You only need to WAIT 1 minute and 30 seconds (that's how long the gramophone works).

I had this problem too.
This bug is only in this version ("Total conversion"), in it all the monologues of the gramophone and diary entries are not voiced. You should keep this in mind.

It has a classic interface like the original Amnesia, but it has voice acting for all the gramophones and diaries.

The bug below can be skipped by picking up an object (I used hammer), sticking it through the bars and using it to pull down the lever in the elevator. Sadly, we'll never know what the grammophone was supposed to tell us.

i have the same gamebreaking bug with the grammophone at the beginning the dialog speedruns and door remains closed .any tips how to fix this issue?

There is a gamebreaking bug in the very beginning of the game. After waking in up in the cell and following the man for a while you are supposed to use a grammophone to open a door. But when i turn the lever on it, the dialouge text flashed by in under a second and no audio is played, and the door does not open.

I tried limiting my framerate to 60 through the Nvidia Control Panel, but it did not fix the issue.

I can see that i am not the only one here with this problem as @Petruinfinitee1000 has written about the same bug. Please respond soon @tkachukov260698.

@Volcanis The white overlay in the inventory is a very common bug that can happen in the main game as well. I don't know what causes it, but it is the sanity reward flash you get when completing an objective, and when you do complete an objective that gives you the flash or drink a sanity potion in a custom story and get the flash it usually fixes the inventory glitch.

@Volcanis The portable version has this annoying bug when I accest the inventory or journal it`s a blinding white and the sanity system is sill there and I prefer playing without the sanity system to make the playthrough easier

@Volcanis Well, I am at work rn, but when I get home, I then would try to upload this mod as a normal Custom Story (instead of Full Conversion mod), for you and people with the same problem as you. It should be able to help you expierence the story, at the cost of missing out the new lantern model and a neat custom inventory screen. Okay?
