Or there might be another way (probably is) but I experimented with it a while back and the animations always broke unless I used the existing swings.

Yes as far as I know you can only reuse whats already there unless you want to make custom animations

The Tonfa has 2 swings. The first swing is 1 second, the next is 0.8 seconds. I could make them both 0.8 seconds.

Yes but the difference will come down to fractions of a second. It won't be anywhere near what you're imagining with fists of fury. You likely won't even be able to tell the difference.

As far as I know, it can be done in 2 ways.

Melee weapons are controlled by weapon.txt script files. These files contain information relating to the swing patterns; which direction the weapon is swung, which animations are played, which hitrays to draw, etc.

The simplest way of buffing a melee is to add or change the swing pattern to a faster one. A melee might have 3 different swings in its swing pattern, EG: Swing 1 = 0.6 seconds, Swing 2 = 0.8 seconds, Swing 3 = 0.75 seconds. You can edit the weapon.txt script and change swings 2 and 3 to be identical to swing 1, making the pattern faster overall. You could also add a 4th swing, which matches swing 1.

The other way is similar, but instead of copying existing swings you make new ones. I think it requires new animations to be made though.

Since i love rocket dude, I know that the revolver or magmun whatever you call it, has an incredible knockback, can you do a mod that gives a massive knockback to all firing weapons? that would be so awesome!

it SHOULD be possible. I was never able to get it working because i couldnt see any difference between test runs.

some cvars also have maximum allowable values; go over this and it breaks shit. but the max values arent documented anywhere.

youre right, it would take a lot of time and effort to get it working, then even more time and effort to get it working well

it is, but its done using cvars. Its not easy to make since a lot of the cvars you need have 0 documentation as to how they work or what they do. They're also very difficult to test as they can only be adjusted when the game is first started, meaning every change requires you to restart your game. I've tried to make them in the past and its a very time consuming process

I wonder if something similar like this can be done but for the guns, something like killing floor (where when you kill a zed with a gun, the corpse gets knocked back a bit). If possible I think the knockback would be even a bit more reduced than this addon, in my opinion.

Yeah but it says you can adjust the damage the weapons deal against it. So just make the damage each weapon deals a lot lower, but not 0

That addon isn't bad, but it would be interesting to give the riot zombie more resistance, because right now it dies too easily, and of course, depending on the weapon's power

Hey, could you make a mod where riot zombies can die when shot, but without losing their toughness? I have a mod that adds riot zombies, and I know there's already one on the workshop, but it makes the riot zombies very weak. I'd like them to be tough, but not immortal
