I'm having the same issue as Korrivyn, going to turn off the Persistent Corpses card and see if that fixes it

I'm having a similar issue to those below. This seems to be related to the final piece of a body when portioning. Disabling the card alone does not fix this for an existing save, it seems.

If you'd like me to share you my save or modlist hmu. Here's my recreation steps for reference:
- Select Persistent Corpses Card at some point during the run.
- Portion out all parts of a corpse. Use or throw away all but the extra piece left in place of the corpse during the final portion.
- Any process applied upon the extra piece will crash the game. This can be in the meat grinder, chopping on the counter, etc.
- One can still pick up the extra piece and place it in the garbage, bypassing the bug.

I didn't have any rotten. I think it crashed with both normal bodies and ones carried in the freezer

@Ketsumu Do you remember if the body was one that was rotten? Or one that persisted in a freezer? Or was it just a normal body, but you had Persistent Corpses as a card

When I played with it, it would specifically crash at the point where i interacted with the final piece of the body. I would portion off the other ones just fine, but picking up the last piece would crash my game.

I tested out persistent corpses some more, and my game wasn't crashing. Could you all provide more detailed info on what was happening when the game crashed? Like, was it right after you selected the card, at the start of the day, when the day ended, randomly in the middle of the day, etc.?

Temporary fix is disabling the card in the preferences, I'll look into a more permanent solution though!

i love that mod. can we get more gore stuff or intense stuff like that? are you working on other mods too?

As my first modded recipe, it'll be pretty hard to top this. Love that it incorporates customers into the recipe, a truly unique ingredient that makes the mod stand out among the rest.

I just want to let people know there is a mod or even this mod that has a freezer. You can very much so put the whole item in the freezer and then pull from it. Hope this helps cause I'm really loving this mod.

This is absolutely favourite mod in any sim game ever... Playing this brings such a halarious twist. especially on turbo! Lol my friend and I have the most gut wrenching laughter with this mod. Thank you for being awesome. Trying to suggest any addons in the future just so there is more gut wrenching laughter.

Temporarily, if you want to avoid the persistent corpses card so it doesn't crash, you can either disable the card in the mod preferences, or use Cards Manager. Will be pushing out a fix soon.

Experiencing a crash when the persistent corpses card was selected as well

Had a different run where there was no freezer, persistent corpses just crashes on the last piece of meat in general.

My game crashed after getting the persistent corpse card. When i interact with the last piece in the freezers, my game crashes. Always the last piece,
the other 5 were fine. Tested this numerous times and it's always at that particular point. Had freezers before i got the card, in case that matters.

For anyone who likes this premise, there is a game that functions exclusively on this mechanic. It's called Godlike Burger. I don't know if that was the inspiration for this mod, but give it a look if you want.

I just fixed my issue. I changed to find best load order, and it didn't fully fix the issue. What I did, was I loaded into single player, and I checked for mod updates. Some of the dependencies needed an update, and when that happened, I was prompted to verify integrity of game files to fix mystery meat. I did so, and now everything works perfectly. Hope this helps anyone having issues.

if you have this thread subscribed nahste, or if anyone else is not having it show up, go to properties -> workshop -> advanced order -> find best load order. it's likely that mystery meat is loading before its dependencies, causing everything to be invisible.

Hmm, this dish doesn't work for me. My friend can see everything but I can't. Even when I try solo, nothing pops up. Anybody having these issues? I have everything downloaded.

Great mod. Fun and unique gameplay, although I agree with an earlier post saying that the money earned for this recipe is kind of lacking for the extra strategy and steps that go into it. I think doubling the price per burger to 6 would be nice.

It was a blast playing with friends, trying to balance killing and working. Had a few times where we got into an unintentional death spiral as we tried to get bodies put away as they were walking up. Overall it was a bloody good time!

just boosting the requests to have an option to disable or adjust the volume of the noises specific to this mod, especially the grinder noise. this mod is right up my alley but that noise, while VERY effective, just happens to act like nails on chalkboard for me so i haven't been able to give it a try.

can you allow us to pick between the other mains?

hey! is there any chance of getting a version/addon to this that doesn't have the meat grinder noise or replaces it? it's really grating for some of us, but I really want to try it out (and I'd rather not turn off game sounds in general)

I don't have the same issue as Lacey, but I have noticed it's significantly more difficult to kill customers when you've taken their order (Accidentally, or on purpose)

Currently you have to kill customers before taking their order. If you accidentally take their order, you can't interact with them again to dispatch of them, which can leave you trapped if you have no meat and nobody to kill because they're all waiting to eat. Would love a fix to this, otherwise great mod

unironically fun. i really like how it introduces new concepts like managing how many customers you kill vs serve, designing the restaurant so that the customer cant see the killing, etc.

however i found out that you can just kill everyone and never serve food. is this intended? its not even a restaurant anymore and takes away from the challenge. i think there should be an option to disable this abuse, maybe like a limit of customers you can kill per day? just an idea though!

Its an extremely fun dish, encourages different placements for customers tables to potentially kill them after they've eaten and get away with it.
Automation is surprisingly possible, you just gotta kill and place the corpses by a portioner and have the upgraded meat grinder (faster, automatic and has a push conveyor inbuilt for only 60 coins? very powerful upgrade) grind them and push into mixer and patties happen automatically.

I was thoroughly impressed and will be doing more runs with friends for Halloween.

One thing I found is the meat grinder sound effects are somewhat loud for me compared to other sound effects - an option to make them quieter would be appreciated if possible.

Should be fixed! You should be able to play with Colorblind+ now.

There currently seems to be a conflict between Mystery Meat and Colorblind+. If both are loaded, then after the main menu, you get stuck in a black screen. If you want to play Mystery Meat, for now unsubscribe from Colorblind+.

I've confirmed that the mod loads from others, so try resubscribing and making sure you are subscribed to KitchenLib, HarmonyX, and PlatePatch. Other than that, I suggest looking at the recipe(s) in a run to learn how the dish works!

(P.S. you currently can't make the dish in the lobby, only in an actual run)
