Maybe you could consider a research post SPI for Dusk? Even with mods, nature is a bit deprived (albeit that may reflect the OG vision that opposing affinities rarely got the opposing resource). And seems like it would be thematically very good, moonlight is still "enlightening" after all.

What you mean Tier 2 units should be a Tier 2? If you mean in T2 tomes, that's not hapening.

So, from what I gathering, in your opinion:
Both units work too similarly
Last Light is too expensive
Fairy Cairn is very weak
You want a combat spell

Starting with Tome of Dusk gives you access to that tome's Tier 2 unit to build. The fairy cairn is awful and weirdly not just free with the tome. Last Light is bonkers expensive, that could cost half mana, a third the world cast. The tier 2 units should be at tier 2, but nor do I think they should have two ranged units that operate similarly of the same tier.

The tome needs at least a combat spell, maybe a cheap fairy dust flight - gives phasing and attacks have a 30% chance to moonfire for 20 mana, 10 casting points for example.

I suggest giving igneous blade to incubus as their basic skill, and remove them from list of igneous blade enchantment in order to reduce upkeep of incubus.

incubus is not racial. so they can't get transform buff. small stat buff would be good.

Nope. 1) I don't know if I'd even like that design and 2) It would crash on combat end when you end combat in that other form as a hero (and I can't force you out of it right before combat ends)

Quick Update:
Shrieker no longer has -8 Spirit Resistance. He now has -4 Spirit Resistance since both Banshee and Corrupt Soul has made a precedence for innate -8 weaknesses (they normally would have -8 spirit resistance but was changed to have -4 despite their unit types instead)

Forgot to add this to the notes:

Sablemoon Priestess also gains another basic attack. One is treated as magic (the "regular") and the other is treated as support. Support is situational but if she has anything that buffs support abilities, then the "adjacent friendly units" will receive buffs. The magic works as usual. Her basic attack variants is basically the Lesser Moonbeam treatment.

Hey mate! Thanks for the encouragement in the Discord. I realise you might not be very active here right now, but I'll report things anyway just in case. I was trying out the combo of Moonlight Priestess and Lightning Focus and turns out her Lesser Moonbeam is now giving my own units electrified. At least those from another army.

Hi! Loving the Moonglow tome right now! Thanks a lot for this! When targeting a province to build a Pillar of Radiance, the new production bonus doesn't come up as the "change", it is only subtly displayed in the new income tab. It would be great if it could make its way there, as the information would be a bit misguiding otherwise.

So I tested all the bits in this mod (trying to track down annoying crashes). With my full mod set active, Light in the Dark caused a CTD. With only this mod active, Light in the Dark caused a CTD. Everything else works great! I validated local files and un-subbed/re-subbed before testing.

Had a CTD on the steam deck when casting the moonglow combat spell. Version mismatch when loading the save on the pc. tried unsubbing re subbing on both and same results.

I've tried using the "light in the dark" spell 4-5 times today, including twice after unsubscribing/resubscribing to the mod, and it immediately crashes the game as soon as I click to deply the spell. Any other possibilities to fix this issue beyond un/re-subbing?

soulburn from the darkfire demon tome seems to cause CTD upon being cast, i have tried to cast it a variety of times and everytime it crashes so it doesnt seem to be contextual

thank you very much and indeed the ranged attack and teleport are quite powerful of the Incubus it's jusr the melee attack I am unsure about but yeah out of all 4 units he is the most balanced one

about the Shrieker: yeah I've mentioned that the Shrieker is quite underwhelming compared to other T3 units and -8 spirit resistance can be devestating

For Temptress, I'll bump 7/3/3 => 8/4/4 on her regular attack which would make her 16x3. Her ranged, I'll bump from 2/2/2 => 3/3/3 and reduce it to 1 turn cooldown. I'll reduce Enrapture to a 2 turn cooldown.

Incubus is actually pretty strong for a T2 unit. I don't know what his issue is.

I know someone said something about the Shrieker, but I'm still deciding on how I want to buff him.

As for it being hard to start with them, I'll give each one a second look and see what I can see.
