I'm quite aware of that. Bought out originally by Wendy's in 95, spun off on its own in '06, then merged into Restaurant Brands International in 2014. They're American-Canadian with a large Brazilian ownership chunk. These are the ones whose leadership have led to their fall from grace due to declining quality and increasing prices (amongst a few other things).

But we're talking virtual model trainsets here, and Tim Hortons is still an internationally recognised Canadian brand that I felt was needed in my own modelling ventures. Imagine it's owned by the immortal ghost of Tim Horton if you prefer.

Well Tim Hortons is officially not a Canadian company anymore. The brand was bought by a USA company.
