Definitely keeping tabs on this one for when it is finished. I loved your analyzation of Inco and Olivia in your posts from a few months back and I find this concept quite interesting.

Next update will be on December 20th, and it likely won't be the final update. We got sidetracked making Movie Nights With Mia. Apologies to fans of this. I got bored working on this and started working on a side project that ended up eclipsing this one for a while. I wasn't expecting to get so engrossed in making that mod. But work will recommence on this one soon.

This is fantasic! very well written and endearing. I can't wait for the next update, this one ended on a cliff hanger for me.

After hearing some criticism of the opening scene, both from people who like the mod and those who don't, I've decided to rewrite the opening part of the first chapter so it's less contrived. There's a lot of fixes big and small I want to make to this, but it's going to take time.

In fact, I got so burnt out from working on this that I started working on another project, that being a continuation of the Movie Night With Mia mod which is nearly finished (though asset creation will still take another month or so).

So apologies to fans of Purple Stuff who feel like they're being cucked for anther mod, but I promise it will be worth it in the long run. I'll be coming back to this mod with a more objective perspective and new ideas to make it better, and the Mia mod will be something for fans of her who think she got done dirty by Cavemanon.

In the meantime, thank you for the continued support and patience.

My goal wasn't to try and make Olivia seem worse but to make her portrayal more balanced. I believe the relationship she has with Inco isn't balanced the way Fang and Anon's relationship was where they were both equally flawed and pulled equal weight in the story with regard to the narrative and how they kept the plot moving.

It's one-sided in Wani. Olivia is more flawed, but doesn't have to carry as much water as Inco. This is my opinion of course. If Inco chose to tell Scaler what Olivia did, no one could've blamed him. But status quo is God, therefore he has to go through the motions somehow despite being robbed of his own agency. And Iadakan all but enables it.

This has been vexing me quite a bit, and all my mods thus far have been an attempt to correct this perceived imbalance on my end. I even had an idea for Inco actually doing what I suggested with Scaler and then moving yet again to a new school with OCs, but that's just an overly ambitious idea for now.

This mod makes me like olivia less and less, mia was right all along

So with the latest update there's a change which will cause this mod to crash in places.

The most fascinating part about Tori Game to me was that the writer also connected it with Snoot Game where it had Anon be at St. Hammond instead of Inco, and the two protags actually meet and talk for a little bit. It didn't overstay it's welcome either, so that was genuinely nice.

I've read Tori Game. I know it's a fanfic but it made me hate Naomi even more.

I haven't read it, but I've heard Tori Game by Areloch is a good re-imagining of Inco at Volcano High. I had an idea of my own for that, but that's much further down the road, assuming I'll still want to do that someday.

I had so much to say with my previous comment but unfortunately Steam is incredibly, frustratingly picky with the amount of characters that can be used.

Now I'm imagining a mod where we see Inco at Volcano High. That would be interesting to see considering his personality is completely different from Anon's.

Hard to believe this isn't from Cavemanon. Super looking forward to the next update.

Coming back 6 months later and omg it's so good. The emotional scenes, while not having the visuals comparable to base game, are quiet strong. The added content in earlier chapters fit really well even when place later. I did just spend ~6 hours on a mod I forgot about because it was great.

There are a few issues. Minor spelling mistakes, weird, if not incorrect sprite placement, and the good vs bad options are hard to differentiate at times. Like Wani & snoot you couldn't tell in the moment, but when you thought about it and looked at past dialogue, you could decern it. That is much harder here, you kinda have to go off of base wani but you can't fully, maybe 60%, since the story was changed to accommodate the story of the mod (which isn't a bad thing).

That's one criticism I've seen of Inco and I tend to agree.

Actually, both Inco and Olivia are very passive compared to Anon and Fang in SG. One of my favorite scenes is when Fang is helping Anon understand music. I think they tried to do that with Olivia helping Inco get better at painting, but it's just forgotten about and never brought up again.

I've been making Olivia too passive as well though. I have an idea for a scene where she's explaining the basics of paint composition to Anon, then he chimes in with his knack for chemistry, explaining how the ions in water react, and they both find a common ground there. Then I wanted her to eventually get better at science to the point she goes from borderline failing it to acing it with Anon's help.

Suffice to say the final version will have new material, and not just the endings and missing paths. It's not going to be ready for months though. Sebek and I don't want to rush the final product.

This mod is really good. A really big problem I had with Wani was how passive Inco was which isn't the case here.

I want to rewrite the entire scene where Kristi shows up at Anon's apartment and take her out of that entirely. That part is forced, I admit. There will be edits and rewrites in the future.

I want to expand a little more on his friendship with Lunara as well. I put her on the cover because Sebek did an outstanding job with that cg and I wanted something eye-catching. I do want to do a Lunara mod in the future at some point though.

Heres a slop enjoyer's bullet points

-Plots alright, its a what if with a lot of original content, i enjoyed it.

-Character writting is a bit 75/25, certain dialogs felt out of character/place, but overall good.
-Loved the extra depth added to Olivia, Liz and the Paynes, Olivia especially, her E1
attitude is interesting and having Anon deal with it, was fun to read.

-Anon and Olivia's relationship felt a bit "rushed" though im not sure if that was intentional, but
once we get past that, they are actually a pretty cute together.

-Lunara side stuff is cool but *LITTLE SPOILER* mall date section feels weird that it ends with cuck/cucked. (Liked Anon having 2 friend groups)

-Kristi is weird, her scenes and how she is written but sometimes they feel a bit
forced/shoved in but overall a nice addition

Overall it was a nice read and will be waiting for future updates.

Absolutely incredible work dude. I honestly think this handles the side characters (most of them) a whole lot better than base game. The cliffhanger was disappointing, but that's just how those are. Can't wait for the full version!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the outpouring of support for this project; it means a lot to us both.

After watching a playthrough of the mod, I decided that some of the conversations between Anon and Olivia drag on too much. I'll truncate them in the future with another round of edits (you can never edit enough, I swear). In particular, their talk about guns is unnecessary. The reason I wrote that in the first place was because at one point I had an idea for a chapter where Anon goes to a gun range with Olivia and her dad. I scrapped it because I decided it didn't add enough, and it didn't feel right making up lore about her dad (Mark Halford I think his name is).

However, I liked the idea of a human protag shooting guns with dinos so much I ended up using it for a side project I started working on. Can't give any details on that yet, just one of some other ideas I have for future projects.
