If I were you, I'd look in the direction of lokanic tattoos, like rum bottle tattoos, katana tattoos and etc. You could put unique tattoos with images of bosses such as bug lord or Kat-Lon in their inventory. Think bigger

Hello, thank you for your suggestion. The idea behind the tattoos is to add a bit of roleplay. I imagine them as a kind of mark that a character earns after going through a series of challenges or training sessions that grant them an extra boost in skills. (I also give them these buffs to slightly compensate for the reduced armor protection.)
