How much of your skills are you meant to lose? My friend went down and lost 5 lvls of strength which feels way to high.
NumbLock 29 Sep @ 7:03am
great mod for multi-player especially. love it.
B1Z4RR0 25 Sep @ 4:24pm
We found the issue, the blood system feature from the Immersive Medicine 2.0 was the problem, once you desactivate that option the revival works as normal
B1Z4RR0 21 Sep @ 1:49pm
We are going to do more test about this issue so I can give more info about it, i think is something related to the bleeding. Thank you for the quick answer.
Jaxe  [author] 21 Sep @ 11:43am
@B1Z4RR0: I can't replicate this issue now but it did happen early in my testing. I changed the way a player was kept alive with injuries to comply with B42's limitations. Still, with the current code, this does not happen during my testing though I'm only testing the server on my local network so I don't know if there's an issue with latency. I don't think the server is the one that determines death though so the client loop should be fine to keep the player alive during incapacitation. Any others with this issue on v1.3.2?
B1Z4RR0 21 Sep @ 8:17am
Hello Jaxe, I'm sorry to bother you again, the first aid requirement is fixed, thank you for that. But we're having a problem with players perma dying a couple minutes before they went incapacitated from injuries, it seems like the injuries keep bleeding even after you are all ready incapacitated. We did some test with the mod in different configurations and the only way to quick fix that is to cheked the "recovery heal injuries" option, if you have that unchecked the player dies a couple minutes after they went down, even if they have a lot of time left to revive them
Seeker 20 Sep @ 3:52am
LOL!
Jaxe  [author] 19 Sep @ 11:49pm
Updated to v1.3.2:
- Fixed previous fix regarding First Aid requirement

(for realzy this time.. hopefully)
B1Z4RR0 19 Sep @ 9:14am
It seems that if you dont have exactly the first aid level required, it doesn't allow you to revive others.
Newe 18 Sep @ 4:46pm
I still have problems to relive on the server I play, any solution?
yonkigitano 18 Sep @ 4:45pm
Hello, the first aid request error keeps occurring.
La_Mirage 18 Sep @ 8:35am
Yes, thank you for the quick work!
B1Z4RR0 18 Sep @ 8:15am
Thank you for the quick fix, your mod is pretty awesome, it has become indispensable in our mp roleplay server
Jaxe  [author] 18 Sep @ 6:01am
Updated to v1.3.1:
- Fixed First Aid requirement
B1Z4RR0 18 Sep @ 1:12am
We have the same issue with the last uptade in our mp server, if you set the first aid level at 0 it allows you to revive others player, other solution is to give immortal to the fallen player and the player have to click the give up option
La_Mirage 18 Sep @ 12:17am
So I think the last update really screwed this up on my server. Nobody can revive another player - it says they need First Aid 2 but they have at least that much. I confirmed I have the "must be a Doctor" setting to FALSE as well. Any ideas what might be going on?
Rachel L 17 Sep @ 5:21pm
Yeah, i imagined, but i like the idea of it. Any chance of you making a patch for the week one so npcs can revive you after a while? (they have paramedics that go the scene if you kill someone, so maybe integrate on it)
Refúgio Z 17 Sep @ 5:05pm
Thank you so much for adding the profession — it will definitely bring more immersion for the community!
I created a translation mod for PTBR, and it would be amazing if the translations were included directly in the main mod. I think it would add even more value.
I'm updating the translation mod right now with the new translations.
Jaxe  [author] 17 Sep @ 4:18pm
@Rachel L: It's really intended for MP where you generally need someone to revive you but on SP you can eventually get revived without assistance
Rachel L 17 Sep @ 3:00pm
how exactly this works on SP?
Jaxe  [author] 17 Sep @ 10:45am
Updated to v1.3.0:
- Added support for Build 42
- General descriptions of time remaining instead of an exact countdown
- Added option to show exact countdown as previous versions
- Added option to add variance to incapacitation time
- Added option to require Doctor profession to revive another player
- Changed default for Recovery requires Fitness/Strength to disabled
Jaxe  [author] 12 Sep @ 12:46am
When B42 has multiplayer this mod will be ready
Mr-Gepetto 8 Sep @ 2:47pm
People asking for 42 when this is a multiplayer focused mod
Fudge 6 Sep @ 10:05pm
Tie it with the doctor profession for better RP and can carry a dead one and attach to the bed.
SwedishYodeler 13 Aug @ 2:28pm
Also getting anti cheat type 15 logs even though it is false on my server
Falsified 12 Aug @ 12:43pm
B42?
wbovee69 29 Jul @ 9:23pm
any way to make it so you can carry a player?
Refúgio Z 25 Jul @ 1:54pm
Jaxe, it would be really great to have the option to link the doctor profession to a server. I'd love to have that in my server. Would you allow me to try editing and adding that? I can keep the mod hidden if needed.
Jaxe  [author] 17 Jul @ 11:36pm
@Vlask: Build 42 update will come when I can find some time.

@XoDollface: That shouldn't be happening.

@Arke: Yes you can lose skill points, though this can be disabled. I'll look more into book compatibility another time.

@Refúgio Z: Tied to the Doctor profession? Sounds interesting but I'm afraid I have no plans to lock it to a profession right now, but perhaps a minimum first aid skill option.

@SocietysGone: Yes unfortunately due to limitations of the game engine and the modding api, this mod cannot prevent death from excessive damage.
SocietysGone 17 Jul @ 11:02pm
great mod but doesnt work if you glitch/fall from a 3 storie building.. goodbye 5 month run :steamsad:
Refúgio Z 16 Jul @ 5:52pm
Hi Jaxe, I'm using the mod on my MP server. It would be really cool to have the revive option tied exclusively to the doctor profession. Would it be possible to have an active sandbox option for that?
Arke 30 May @ 11:51pm
Hello we've recently tried this mod, I am not quite sure if this is a intended feature but whenever a character gets revived it loses a part of it's skill right? if you've read the book for it (let's say carpentry 4) and it drops back to 6, you can't read carpentry 4 anymore and you're stuck grinding it the hard way as you can't get a multiplier anymore
Vlask 30 May @ 8:53pm
got a build 42 update for this mod?
XoDollface 28 May @ 3:27pm
I am running a server with other mods and with zombiefication on, whenever people die and choose to create a new character instead, they get stuck on the zombiefication screen. in order to create a new character they have to leave the server, go back to main menu and rejoin. is there anything i can do to fix that? or is that a bug?
YoungCartwright 19 May @ 8:18am
it doesnt show up on the mod list
Gamerguy518 17 May @ 7:20pm
sorry just saw this now. thanks for the Fix! it was set back to 1 and 0 for strength and fitness
Syn 15 May @ 10:27am
:dslike:
Jaxe  [author] 15 May @ 10:18am
Updated to v1.2.1:
- Fixed negative xp values when losing skills on incapacitation
drew 14 May @ 7:04pm
i didn't change any sandbox variables yet
Jaxe  [author] 14 May @ 6:44am
@Gamerguy518 & @Cody: What is the skill loss modifier set to when this happens?
drew 14 May @ 4:37am
we had the same problem as gamerguy on our dedicated server where we lost our skills and it set them to huge negative values for some reason which is really unplayable since it's actually much more than just strength. it looks like a bunch of skills can have that happen to them. we loved the idea of this mod tho. the way it's intended to function is so cool
Gamerguy518 20 Apr @ 6:53pm
Im having an issue I think. I died but my friend revived me because of this mod, and now my strength is at -1200 of 6000 and the game is just super hard to play now.
Ben_OnAir 8 Apr @ 2:45pm
would it be possible to add a sandbox feature to completely disable death as a whole? And let players only die if they give up or and admin kills an incapacitated player (right click > kill)?
marshmallow justice 8 Apr @ 12:45pm
@Ben_OnAir
It doesn't prevent all player deaths, if you instantly die/take too much damage past the threshold set you will still die completely.
marshmallow justice 8 Apr @ 12:45pm
@Jaxe
Happily, I can confirm it does work with FAO/FAE!
We made a separate test server to also play around with Day One B41 experience, and we got to use the revival mechanic first hand there. Seemed to work great! No errors at least :D
Ben_OnAir 8 Apr @ 6:44am
Hey just to be sure this mod prevents any kind of deaths to players right?
I have a Roleplay server and sometimes players die from various issues (bugs, collissions..) and it's a pain to recreate their character. We want a system that just knocks them down that "fakes" their death while leaving the decision to actually kill the player to the player themselves or the GMs
Cmdr.Kowalski 7 Apr @ 1:14pm
@Jaxe An interesting bug was accidentally found on the server. If the player is unconscious and you start trading with him, then the items are duplicated
Jaxe  [author] 7 Apr @ 6:33am
@marshmallow justice: I have not tested this mod's compatibility with other mods that affect the first aid system but I would say there is a decent chance most mods should be fine unless they mess specifically with death itself.
marshmallow justice 7 Apr @ 5:36am
Hi, I read through all the pages of comments here but hadn't seen anything discussed. I feel like it would be fine, but do you think it works with Braven's First Aid Overhaul/Expanded?

I'm going to backup my world regardless and try it, but just curious since from your end as the developer it might be a very clear yes or no.
Verdant Edgelord 1 Apr @ 1:24pm
Well, that sucks, but it's understandable. Thank you anyway.
