Where's the fun in this?

Why
sudokek 8 Feb, 2019 @ 4:09pm
Also I feel it should be mentioned I typically have to turn this off for some reason when I play the svn elder kings, otherwise I face seemingly random crashes but I expect it's a baby birth. Without it, it seems fine.
sudokek 8 Feb, 2019 @ 4:07pm
Figured I'd swing by and cheers once again, cause like I couldn't play ck2 w/o this. I've noticed a few cries still happen, but I do believe it's intended as it's for deaths and the sound is a little different. Maybe a lower volume for this file?
sudokek 11 Jul, 2018 @ 8:46pm
Thanks again!

If only CK2 mods could be applied to airplanes.
Zer0 6 Apr, 2018 @ 10:11am
Baby cries make me laugh :D
another martinez 20 Mar, 2018 @ 6:44pm
Should be in vanilla. Simple. Perfect.
sudokek 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:35am
This is a mandatory mod.

Apricot:
Just search the name of the mod in your computer and open it with winrar. Then extract everything to your mod folder in:
C:/Users/yourusername/My documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod

Freaking steam (or Paradox) still hasn't fixed this problem after so many years...
Admiral Hazard 2 Jan, 2017 @ 5:31pm
You should be on CK2's dev team.
大丈夫当造福苍生 22 Jul, 2016 @ 4:20pm
It could be the most useful MOD in my CK2 life...
Fangvyr 22 May, 2016 @ 4:43pm
This was very needed, thank you.
Quaade 4 Feb, 2016 @ 3:56pm
lol
Nuc_Temeron 9 Jan, 2016 @ 10:01pm
Excellent, thank you! Everyone in my house would cringe every time I had a child previously. Thank you.
Gekko  [author] 28 Nov, 2015 @ 12:05am
ApricotCourt: That is odd. Most likely something is incorrect in the .mod file. If you check C:/Users/yourusername/My documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod, can you see the mod there? What kind of files are there in the zip? What does the .mod file say?
ApricotCourt 25 Nov, 2015 @ 3:36am
Definitely a mod I need, thanks for creating it! I have a problem with it, tho, since the game launcher won't let me activate it, for some reason. All other mods are able to turn off/on, but this mod's checkbox doesn't seem to respond, so it remains off... Any idea what could be wrong?
watchdoge 12 Oct, 2015 @ 12:43pm
best mod for this game :steamhappy:
TestedDoughnut 19 Aug, 2015 @ 12:45am
Easily the best mod for this game.
Girudes 24 Jun, 2015 @ 4:40pm
You're a genius. Thank you!
Gekko  [author] 12 Jan, 2015 @ 8:00am
Thanks Reyph. Will add to mod description field for a while in case others need this.
Reyph 11 Jan, 2015 @ 12:05pm
I also lost my save games for a while but was able to fix the issue and recover them all.

Now that this mod save compatable, a new folder is made when you use this mod that doesnt have this mod name in the folder name. All previous saves using this mod did, but now when you run this mod, it wont look for the old saves in the old folder, its looking for saves in the newly created folder, of where there are non. These saves for modded games are in users/my documents/paradox interactive/ck2 and will have names listing all save dependent mods associated with those games. To recover you game saves, copy or move the saved games you want into the newly created folder.

Hope this helps, if anyone needs more help with it feel free to send me a message.
Gekko  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 10:46am
You might still find the old save in the game save directory, probably under users/my documents/paradox/ck2

If not, you could also open the .mod file in the mod directory and add the line
user_dir="remove_cry"

Other than that, I don't know if it's possible unless you have older saves.
Nohl 11 Jan, 2015 @ 9:48am
I lost a save that i spent 6 h on after this updated, how do i get the old version back?
Gekko  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 5:24am
It is now. I had specified the "user_dir" in the .mod file. With it gone it should work with existing saves.
Ryzaki 10 Jan, 2015 @ 5:23pm
Is this save game compatible? I checked this mod at the starting menu and it creates a new save folder
Darkavatar 28 Dec, 2014 @ 12:52pm
Essential since the Way of Life DLC and the seducer or family foci came out.
Sol 22 Dec, 2014 @ 6:53am
Effing christ, I can't play the game without this mod which is now essential for me, and everyone else who is in the room when I play this game.

This is the best mod for this game.

There are a lot of great mods that do great and wonderful things, but this?

This is essential.
AgentMulder 3 Dec, 2014 @ 12:58pm
Thanks. I never thought the cries were a big deal until my new king turned out to be a sex machine...
Racketeer 9 Nov, 2014 @ 12:19pm
Oh wow, that is precisely what I need! Thanks! And also, just as the guy before me asked, can you make a similar mod for republic' monthly income sound? Totally pisses me off. Turning it off would finally make republics playable for me :)
Gekko  [author] 8 Nov, 2014 @ 11:52pm
Yes, the mod is ironman compatible.
Добрый Лякуша 8 Nov, 2014 @ 6:24pm
+1 the cry at least 200 time loud than ohter sound
SMIFFY 8 Nov, 2014 @ 12:13pm

Thank you thank you thank you thank you!
Grey Alien 7 Nov, 2014 @ 2:57am
Oh, thank you so much. That cry is annoying as hell.
Foxxhound 6 Nov, 2014 @ 5:07pm
I remember when I made my own version (did NOT upload it) last year because I was sick of getting the crap scared out of me every nine months when I forgot to mute the volume. Then my sister's stupid cat assassinated my hard drive and I just haven't suffered enough trauma to remake it yet. Thank you, Sir Differential, for reinforcing my Spartan-like self-discipline and doing it for me.
Yawn 6 Nov, 2014 @ 8:37am
I'm assuming this is Ironman compatible since it's just music file's changing right? Doesn't matter if it is or not I don't even have 1 achievement anyway's.
ღ B U N N Y ᠌ ⁧⁧X 6 Nov, 2014 @ 7:30am

Zaldarr 6 Nov, 2014 @ 4:43am

rofl. Reading the comments here, I know why I'm always playing without sound.
EmotionallyBroken 3 Nov, 2014 @ 10:51pm
"Make this mod also change the death "aargh" to the Wilhelm Scream, and this is golden."
+10
EmotionallyBroken 3 Nov, 2014 @ 10:49pm
"Could you make a version of this which removes the constant "gold in" sound for republics?"
All you got to do is delete/replace the file. (Deleting may crash or cause bugs)
EmotionallyBroken 3 Nov, 2014 @ 10:49pm
Its whenever you or your immdiate family or marked people have a child
