- Updated FX for Flamesurge Focus target impact.
-> flamesurge focus 30% chance of trigering when target is both burned and electrified OR target is both ghostburned and electrified
-> arcfire sorceress, arcfire strike deals extra damage to units that are both burned and electrified OR target is both ghostburned and electrified
@Zeal, appreciate the comments!
Thanks to Fii for catching this!
@Silent Service, @A Big Hairy Monster, thank you :)

I decided against making Flamesurge Focus benefit all magic attacks since it seemed like a niche effect. It would also look strange to see your frost spell have +1/+1 lightning/fire damage, though this same problem exists for other enchantments. As well, when Flamesurge Focus triggers, there's some fiery/electric FX which could look strange when you are casting a frost spell.
- Updated the animation for the Arcfire Sorceress's Arcfire Strike ability.
- Full list of changes in the change notes.
Thanks for the comments all!
- Fixed a bug with the Tiger patch where the Flamesurge Focus unit enchantment was applying double base damage to targets that are Burning and Electrified.
@Ruby, I try to make my tomes match the base game. Since the base game removed the hero skill, I removed my hero skill as well so I don't think I'll replace it with another tome skill/spell/unit if that was the question. Ideally it could fit into the signature skills, but that would require modifying the base game files, affecting mod compatibility.
The only small downside right now is how the Archfire Mage looks a bit too close to the fire mage from a visual standpoint.
Maybe having them have one hand with fire and one hand with lightning could help to make them look a bit more distinctive?
- Updated research levels, which determines how much research is required for a tome skill.
-- Arcfire Sorceress -> from Low up to Intermediate
-- Flamesurge -> from Expert down to Intermediate
- Arcfire Typhoon ascended skill now generates 1 more Arcfire hazard
- Arcfire Typhoon combat enchantment, Rampant Arcfire, now generates about 5 less Arcfire hazards
- Fixed an issue where the "Invalid Target" tooltip appeared when placing Arcfire hazards on top of a hex with a hazard on it already.
- Fixed a bug where the Pegasus mount didn't appear in the unit icon for the Arcfire Sorceress.
- Fixed an issue where the Arcfire Sorceress wasn't rendering when combined with an alternate culture unit mod.
Ideally the culture unit mod should have been implemented a different way, but it was a quick fix for me to do.
I'll review when I get the chance and see if I can make my mod more robust against mods changing base game files.
@Evil-Fox cheers! The cool voice over is from Maisie Chalk who I hired on Fiverr. Link in the mod description.
