to remove the buffs, you can delete every file in the Patches folder except for VanillaHumanSurgery, SornePatches (also open SornePatches and delete operations you don't like, its pretty easy to figure out). Integreating the new bugs are done in BuildingPatches, so you can remove them being added to the enemy, your own, and waves in any combination. Or cherry pick them but that may nerf waves.

are there configs to disable certain things? i just want to be able to get the patriarch and the royal insects

Your work is really cool, but if possible, could you please separate the additional insects and existing insect enhancements into separate mod options or something? The increased variety of insects is very appealing, but the existing ones seem to be getting a bit stronger than they should be...

An option for ingame power tuning, or separating the new bugs into a parallel mod away from the power boost would be nice. The ranged attacks on the armored bugs is a bit silly along with their aura, and the recharge on some of the others needs more tweaking.
