Cathayan handgunners always get my upvote.

However sadly there seems to be a glitch. The muzzleflash and smoke is missing from the unit. Aside that really love the design and skills they have. Almost look like 19th century colonial troops haha

Updated to fix that range bug in Stand and Fire. That was not at all what the statline on the ability said it would do, but switching to a percentage buff seems to have fixed it. Also did some QOL improvements on the Stakes, both giving more range to the deployment ability, and on the stake unit itself, and also added a new head variant to the main unit.

Dude lmao the stand and fire is absolutely op and like the comentor below it gives them insane range way more that the amount stated. It melt ANYTHING

when i put them in the mode that makes them fire faster and extends their range they get 3000+ range and i can't understand why. (it's not an error it's literally more than 3000)

I had considered it, but the Streltsi and pistol Kossars fit that role so much already I feel like it would be too redundant. I've allowed use of all my bayonet infantry assets if somebody wanted to try that though.

The skeletons are not inherently compatible, but it is not too bad a process to rig them. The main thing that doesn't rig well from the Cathay skeleton to the Empire skeleton is long skirts.

They should come from the same place as Iron Hail Gunners, but I also only checked with Miao Ying's campaign.

No promises of more Cathay content any time soon unfortunately. I've been trying to wrap up some 80% done mods that have been languishing since as long as early 2023. I hesitate to do much with Cathay until they've gotten at least a couple DLCs to flesh them out. This is a unit type I'm pretty confident CA wouldn't be making though. If I were to do anything more with them, first priority would be Extra Variants additions.
