<3 thank u cowb

Based mod, Webknight suggested this mod to me for when I wanted to make my own jetpack model. Looked at your example code, added the core jetpack stats into mine like it showed in the example, boom. 44mb mod size to boot is definitely a keeper on my modlist. Kudos to you m8:Grineer::steamthumbsup:

Single player, yes. And so far only after loading a savegame. I was just able to recreate this in the editor.
And I tried taking off the jetpack and putting it back on first, but that doesn't help. (I have already changed the models using Zeus)
I faintly remember having had similar problems with other mods a long time ago. So the problem could be a bit trickier.
jennderqueer  [author] 31 May @ 6:39am
Does this only happen after the restart? I've been chasing a similar bug but not super hard because it only happens in singleplayer.

(Also I *think* taking the pack off and putting it back on should fix it? If I pushed that fix to this branch?)

After stuntman-death and reloading the HUD for fuel and temp is vanished. Any magic to get that back in game?

I hate both of ya lol. Jenn doesn't have a discord, so I join KJWs then? XD
KJW  [author] 2 Mar @ 12:31pm
i hate you
jennderqueer  [author] 2 Mar @ 12:11pm
if you have so many questions join kjw's discord for answers (it's his mod, you see)
KJW  [author] 2 Mar @ 10:39am
@jennderqueer made the mod not me
DMZ 2 Mar @ 9:02am
@KJW Any chance of adding wider support for refueling from ACE compatible sources?
DMZ 2 Mar @ 9:01am
Also, is there any way or API to control fuel in jetpacks externally? Say I want to start off players with zero fuel in the pack, and maybe
KJW  [author] 1 Mar @ 9:49am
use refuel hemtts
DMZ 1 Mar @ 8:42am
Specifically, I mean ACE gas stations and such. Refueling with ACE self interact does work!
DMZ 1 Mar @ 8:40am
Dear jennderqueer and KJW:

Try as I might, refueling the packs from any fuel source does not seem to work. How did you envision this to work?
KJW  [author] 21 Jan @ 7:59am
no
DMZ 21 Jan @ 7:18am
Dear KJW and Co,

Is it allowed to pack this mod with a bunch of other smallers mods into a steam-hosted compound pack to avoid a modpack with 80+ mods in launcher? The compound mod is for use for one unit and isn't usable by anyone outside the unit.

Apparently new people get scared if you have many mods in launcher, even if they are small. So trying to reduce this burden.
Rogeriforloki 20 Dec, 2024 @ 8:52am
What do you mean "teach them"?
KJW  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 1:14pm
She is currently teaching them how to
jennderqueer  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 11:31am
They cannot. AI are too dumb to do them on their own and I haven't bothered to teach them.
Rogeriforloki 19 Dec, 2024 @ 11:08am
Hi, sorry for interupting your fight here, but can ai use these jetpacks?
VoroV 15 Oct, 2024 @ 4:42am

KJW  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 1:05pm
@jennderqueer i bet its gforce
jennderqueer  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 12:59pm
It wasn't fixed? Brb, screaming into a pillow. The *intended* feature is teleporting them clear of the vehicle so as not to get horribly murdered by the aircraft.
Hatsumi 3 Oct, 2024 @ 12:48am
its such a cool mod man sadly i cannot use it due to the same problem Cooked Auto was having aside from the eject even deleting planes or killing air in zues will teleport whoever is using the jetpack causing them a miserable death. still a great mod though

Cooked Auto 14 Sep, 2024 @ 2:52pm
Nice. :coolsam:
jennderqueer  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 2:09pm
@Cooked Auto
I'll consider that a bug that needs some urgent fixing - I know what causes it and have fixed it on the original iteration but it seems to have Returned With A Vengeance. Expect a fix published today or tomorrow.
Cooked Auto 14 Sep, 2024 @ 12:08pm
As a follow up post, a player crashing a plane and getting auto ejected from it managed to crash the game for everyone else, AND crash the server we were playing on.
Cooked Auto 14 Sep, 2024 @ 11:38am
So I just discovered an interesting interaction with the jetpacks in multiplayer. When someone ejects from an aircraft, anyone carrying a jetpack will be teleported to their location. Regardless of altitude. It will also do the same if the ejected player lands and gets out of their parachute.
CallMeRiley (she/her) 11 Sep, 2024 @ 7:47am
An amazing mod, however it's unfortunate that there isn't a jetpack scaled down to fit KJW included, although I'm not sure a jetpack of that size would be very easily visible anyway!
Maxsimodem 11 Sep, 2024 @ 7:45am
Congratulations KJW for supplying a war-winning device to CSAT. I'm sure this will have NATO scrambling to save face after this stunning example of Russian innovation. They truly have shocked the west.
jennderqueer  [author] 10 Sep, 2024 @ 8:01pm
@Comrade Cody

Put simply, just slow yourself down with controls opposite to your current velocity. Pressing spacebar at the right time and using your backward movement keys to slow your forward momentum can help you avoid damage. Ultimately it just takes a little practice. Personally, I like that it comes with some risk if you fuck it up (lol).
Comrade Cody 10 Sep, 2024 @ 7:33pm
Any tips on landing softer?
jennderqueer  [author] 10 Sep, 2024 @ 4:18pm
@Namenai

There is intentionally no damage mitigation to the jetpacks. The intended solution to being damaged by landing too hard is to land more softly.

@malice20191

Do you mean *no settings at all*? If so, head to the discord and we'll figure out the bug.

@Bax

Just a screenshot, sorry! It's all fake :(. You can, however, still jump out the back of things normally.
Bax ⭐ 10 Sep, 2024 @ 6:59am
Of course crazy awesome lol. What mod did you use for the "running out of the back for halo"? I tried so many and not one looked so great like yours (besides me exploding).
malice20191 10 Sep, 2024 @ 3:44am
i dont see any settings to change,not cba or the menu
namenai 10 Sep, 2024 @ 3:35am
Is there a setting for controlling what speeds cause damage when landing
A. Ares 9 Sep, 2024 @ 10:05am
@MADRAT, they are pieces of equipment. You will find them on the Backpack section of the Arsenal
MADRAT 9 Sep, 2024 @ 9:58am
ok so where can i find it, I'm an oldman need so help please.
A. Ares 9 Sep, 2024 @ 9:22am
Awesome Awesomeness!
jennderqueer  [author] 8 Sep, 2024 @ 7:08pm
I suppose I could consider that a bug, though one could say you're just coating yourself in kerosene because the fuel tank is already full. I can disable the ability to pour one out for the homies in the next update.
Legion 8 Sep, 2024 @ 6:51pm
Thanks for explenation. Also i have noticed a small bug (dont know if intentional or not) If you have a fully fuled jetpack and if you try and consume the fuel it will still consume the fuel item even when you are full on fuel.
jennderqueer  [author] 8 Sep, 2024 @ 5:16pm
@Legion

Originally it was (in the early version in the Kandosii Aux), but it's ultimately a magic number. I opted to keep it to config so that each archetype worked as the configurator intended it to rather than carry the max heat setting forward to the standalone.

Should you wish to do it on postinit, you can change "jen_jetpacks_core_maxHeat" to your desired number (default is 40). Keep in mind this is just the maximum heat the jetpack can reach, so it'll also take longer to cool down completely.
