And I tried taking off the jetpack and putting it back on first, but that doesn't help. (I have already changed the models using Zeus)
I faintly remember having had similar problems with other mods a long time ago. So the problem could be a bit trickier.
(Also I *think* taking the pack off and putting it back on should fix it? If I pushed that fix to this branch?)
Try as I might, refueling the packs from any fuel source does not seem to work. How did you envision this to work?
Is it allowed to pack this mod with a bunch of other smallers mods into a steam-hosted compound pack to avoid a modpack with 80+ mods in launcher? The compound mod is for use for one unit and isn't usable by anyone outside the unit.
Apparently new people get scared if you have many mods in launcher, even if they are small. So trying to reduce this burden.
I'll consider that a bug that needs some urgent fixing - I know what causes it and have fixed it on the original iteration but it seems to have Returned With A Vengeance. Expect a fix published today or tomorrow.
Put simply, just slow yourself down with controls opposite to your current velocity. Pressing spacebar at the right time and using your backward movement keys to slow your forward momentum can help you avoid damage. Ultimately it just takes a little practice. Personally, I like that it comes with some risk if you fuck it up (lol).
There is intentionally no damage mitigation to the jetpacks. The intended solution to being damaged by landing too hard is to land more softly.

Do you mean *no settings at all*? If so, head to the discord and we'll figure out the bug.

Just a screenshot, sorry! It's all fake :(. You can, however, still jump out the back of things normally.
Originally it was (in the early version in the Kandosii Aux), but it's ultimately a magic number. I opted to keep it to config so that each archetype worked as the configurator intended it to rather than carry the max heat setting forward to the standalone.
Should you wish to do it on postinit, you can change "jen_jetpacks_core_maxHeat" to your desired number (default is 40). Keep in mind this is just the maximum heat the jetpack can reach, so it'll also take longer to cool down completely.
