@ EnergyFlamer [COMM OPEN] , sorry for the late reply. Sometimes my steam notifications were bugged & it showed old notifications instead of the new ones. For shotguns, hold reload button when reloading to apply reload speed.

I multiplied the reload speed for all shotguns and it's still the same default reload speed.

@Jakiy , for shotguns, the ammo clip can be more than usual because shotguns insert the ammo shell one by one & on faster reload speed, the shell insertion is also faster but the system still sees it as the normal reload speed. So that's why it won't stop when reaching 10/xx but there's extra ammo clip added. You can ignore it as it's just a minor bug that doesn't affect the total ammo.

Thanks. For the reload, 1.25 speed seems to be the best balanced. It's still a bit faster but not too fake looking. For the fire rate, for some reason the autoshotty showing 11/XX bullets as fully reload instead of 10/XX as on vanilla. What do?

@kurochama used to play cso with my friend back then just having Balrog-XI shotgun can pretty much help you in zombie scenario 😊 but now it no longer useful due to cso keep on releasing op weapon. Yea I see that you have the ak47 paladin gonna use it when I get to. Thanks for making all this good mods 😊

@Sieg Rem , yes, that's one of my favourite guns on CSO, & I used it very often on "Zombie Scenario", back then before some super & more powerful weapons came out. There's also "Ak47 Paladin" that you can find on my workshop.

@red_rider , you can go to "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\ems" & find "weapon speed boost" folder that contains the cfg file. Once you open the cfg file, scroll to the info, & you'll find some explanations about each feature along with how they work. & if the "weapon speed boost" folder doesn't show up, you can start a map on Singleplayer, & when all survivors spawn, the "weapon damage boost" folder is created along with the cfg file.

@shaverdanh , start Singleplayer in any campaign with this mod enabled. Once your character spawns, the cfg file will be generated in "ems" folder. Just change the value of each feature on the cfg file, save the cfg & then reload your gun to apply the changes.

@Coalition SpecDelta , normally, walking should have better accuracy than running. But if you want to greatly increase accuracy by walking, you can try to use "temporary laser sight" trick, like, when walking, there's laser sight on the gun but the laser sight is removed when running, jumping etc. If you want to ask more questions about vscript, you can go to "Modding/ Mapping" section on L4D2 discussion forum, as it's easier to discuss vscript there.

@something something house , in short, the bug didn't happen on the demo file, & you can see on the demo play how I shot with chrome shotgun as fast as auto shotgun, & hunting sniper almost as fast as rifle. Btw, you can also try to delete the cfg file so the new file will be generated, in case if there are any wrong text formats in the cfg file that made it stop working in your play, as the text formats in the cfg file is very sensitive, like any slightly different formats could make the settings unreadable by the mod scripts.

@something something house , if you have that "automatic guns" by RF, it should be easier to check the fire rate. I'll try to subscribe & enable all of your script mods to test them soon when I'm on my laptop, though I think I might need to search some of them as I'm unfamiliar to some of them (like "laser_pistol". I only know Sw1ft's laser gun that replaces grenade launcher, but I've never seen laser pistol yet. That "gl_stagger", I ever saw somewhere but I forget which one).

@something something house , now this is very strange. If the blue texts show up, then the mod should work properly. I tested on map 3 of Hard Rain where there were several T2 weapons available to test, & the fire rate boost worked on all of them. Probably the only way to see if the bug really comes from this mod or from other mods is by disabling all script mods first, just like what I suggested before, because I have don't know what script mods you used when bug happened so I couldn't crosscheck it. But I'm pretty sure that the bug could be caused by undetected conflicts with other script mods, as it didn't have problems when I tested it with my workshop mods.

Btw I'll make a discussion thread about bug reports soon, so more detailed bug reports can go there without character limit when writing.

huh, the mod does show up in the blue text saying started
but it wont work and i havent sub to any new mods at all the past week

I did delete the cfg file to see if it would generate another one and it did then I tweak some of the values to see if it would fire faster especially the awp and t1 shotgun but didn't
I feel like i shouldve remember and tell you earlier about it

@something something house , "shotgun speed boost" uses different methods to increase fire rate, as it uses a timer instead of event functions, so probably that's why "shotgun speed boost" doesn't get bugged.
I usually tested almost all of my workshop mods before I updated a mod, so that I could also check if there's any of them bugged when used together. & as this one wasn't bugged when I played with my other mods, most likely there could be a conflict with one or some other script mods when it didn't work in your play. The simplest way to check is by disabling all script mods & then enable 10-20 mods on every test, until the bug happens again. & the last 10-20 mods enabled should have one or some mods conflicted with this mod.
Oh, you can also try to check the chat command I used on the previews, "check fire rate". If the notification pops up, then this mod should work. But if it doesn't, it means that there's something on other mods that make this mod fail to load properly.

Messed around to see if your shotgun speed boost mod still work and to my surprise, fhe shotgun boost mod works just fine
Just for whatever reason this weapon speed mod refuses to work but anyway yeah ill keep on the look for the blue text

@something something house , did you find blue texts about "Weapon Speed Boost" on console? Try to increase the value of fire rate then. For example, set shotgun chrome to 4 or 5. This value will make shotgun chrome as fast as auto shotgun, or even faster.

@something something house , particle errors usually do no harm & can be ignored. I also have some weapon skin mods that cause some particle errors on console but my mods still work properly.
If a script mod stops working, usually, there's an error that mentions the name of the vscript file where the error happens along with on which lines the error is located. This kind of error is usually located on console near the map name, so you can search texts around the map name. & look for full capital words for "weapon speed boost" in blue color on the console near map name. my mods work, usually the mod names will show up in blue color on console. But if it doesn't show up, then look for red texts for errors.

@톰 , weapon scripts usually can be found inside "pak01_dir.vpk" file located in the game folder. You can open a vpk file with "GCFScape". If you want the easy way, you can check mods that modify certain weapon damage, & inside the vpk files of those mods, there should be weapon scripts. & you can modify the magazine by changing the value of "clip_size" inside the weapon scripts.

@톰 , magazine capacity can be changed via weapon scripts (like "weapon_smg.txt", "weapon_rifle.txt" etc). Probably it can be changed via vscripts too, but it would be simpler via weapon scripts.

@something something house , that should be possible, as L4B1 has already proven it. But probably you could bring that L4B2 scavenge problem on L4B2 "Bug Reports", so the author smilzo could take a look into it to fix it. For now probably I'm still focusing on making all "Terror Series" first.

any possibility for an addon that forces the bots to do scavenge events? because ive been playing around with left4bots2 and recent update sort of screws up and now they pretty much dont do the scavenge events anymore like left4bot1

@something something house, as the speed boost is based on "bullet_impact", the next attack speed is determined by the value on the cfg file, & how fast a bullet hits an object/ zombie. For example, when I tested pump shotgun & chrome shotgun, I set the value to 2.5 to make them almost as fast as auto shotguns, but when shooting in close range, the speed could be faster than shooting zombies from medium or far range.

weird bug where it would just speed up out of nowhere if your frame rate hitches or get a lot more frames
i use the pump shotgun and chrome shotgun mainly for these
