No, I understand that the engines are different and in general, some addons are impossible to create. That's why I'm asking, can you do it? If not, then okay, the mod itself is awesome.

There is a game called "Mordhau", it is essentially the same as Chivalry or in this case Age of Chivalry. It just has more modern weapon graphics and smoother animation, if you do this, it will be classic. Well, if you don't like Mordhau, then you can play Chivalry 2.

With VRmod X64, SWEPS can be used as melee weapons with proper collision based on the world model (i think, either that or c model), however their damage is just a set number in settings.
There are some API calls for damage if you want to toy with that (and i might in the future for this project), but uh
shit out of luck rn

Otherwise, since ARCVR sweps use the model for melee collision, its not hard to get a basic sword

Also, uh for @pcp55, blocking would be a pain in the ass to do.
In theory, you could have be based on the angle of the hand, like with C.A.H.P, but that ultimately feels weird and leads to alot of accidental blocking.

I was working on a mod that would add a blocking system that has ultimately been put on hold, partly because I lost interest
partly because VR didn't feel great (it was both PC and VR, but VR was a focus)
and partly because the project it was made for, I twas cast away from

Forgot to add, it seems that you can't block weapons from other mods, like the Medieval NPC weapons mod and VJ base, i think you might only be able to block weapons from this pack unfortunately, if you can fix plz do that when you can

Good! Only downsides i've seen is that the blocking doesn't work with VJ base npcs, and for some reason, the bow doesnt work with npcs, and if u pickup a dropped crossbow, it gives u it with all the ammo loaded and it becomes rapid fire, and the bow fires the first arrow IMMEDIETLY if u pick up a dropped bow.

@Ashina I didn't add bow bc NPCs don't have good animations enough. I don't want they reload longbow like clip in pistol.
Do u really want it? I'm preparing Age of Chivalry SNPCs with bows as well for that

or is there some mechanical problem when giving NPC Bows, I has far only seen like 1 bow weapon addon that do allow NPC to wields them, so I guess there's some difficulties?

ok i found the issue, when u move backwards at a slow speed it plays the walking forward animation

so if u alt walk or the speed is restricted in some way it causes this

running backwards has no issues though

Yea so i unsubbed from the addons, i confirmed they werent in my workshop/4000 or cache folders I did menu_cleanupgmas in console restarted my game then subscribed to them all then restarted again and it still has the issue

Awesome work, slight bug tho. When u walk backwards with a weapon it plays the animation of you walking forward. Results in a weird moon walk animation.

@oinko sploinko All damage events and ranges copied exactly from Age of Chivalry. I didn't modify any of these.
Dual daggers don't make double strikes if you launch Age of Chivalry. However if u missed first hit u can do it with second

Dual daggers also has an animation with two separate blade strikes but only one damage event.

@MrGeRol, Can you take a look at the timing for the weapons' animations relative to their damage events sometime? Many, many of them are quite delayed, I'm estimating maybe around 0.7 seconds delayed. Also, I noticed that the range of weapons is a very minimal difference even with short weapons vs. a polearm, maybe you could increase the reach of all weapons for better feel (doesn't feel great having to be point blank to deal damage with a long weapon)
