This would be perfect for gravships. I hope you make this compatible with Odyssey as SOS2 will likely take a LONG time to adapt to Odyssey.

i certainly hope you can get it to update and integrate with odyssey or someone else makes an odyssey hellpod mod, id love to recreate the ships in helldivers and drop squads down lol

Not sure if this mod will be updated to 1.6, not at least until SOS2 updates which could take a very long time. As for compatibility with Odyssey, we'll see after I play it, though probably not.

My colonists keep dying on planetfall, Launched a group of 4 helldivers and two died from the other hellpods impacts. Anyone know of a fix or possible update to the mod. For now ill just launch in groups of two

Actually scratch that about the VE Team, taranchuk did work on Insectoids expanded. I definitely think this should be fixed, it could be very bad if the circumstances are right

If there’s too many hellpods in a group, some of the pawns landing in the hellpods can be damaged by other hellpods landing before them. I’ve had a colonist lose a stomach from this, if I was unluckier they could’ve lost a vital organ and instantly died through no fault of my own. It would be nice if you could fix this, but this might be the VE teams problem instead

Glad to help dude, I couldn't even start my own helldivers playthrough once I got this idea in my head. "Hmm, maybe I'll spend money I probably don't have and wait a month or two?" lol

Words cannot describe how happy I am about this mod. For months I've been trying to make a proper Helldiver ship (forgot the name mb) but I couldn't. But now, this has given the ability to do so.

Hey everyone! Thanks for waiting! Finally got around to asking Taranchuk to update this for me. Sorry, I've been pretty busy with school. Hellpods now have 2x thier previous speed, which was the exact same as a vanilla transport pod.

I think the required items is bugged, I'm not able to select it. it should be a requirement in the mod's code itself though.

@Thomas: The space map that your ship is on is associated with a specific tile on the world map. Moving the ship in space unfortunately does not move this tile. The same issue exist when using transport pods. This isn't a bug.

Howdy!

Just a small FYI I may or may not have found a bug D: (Could be caused by my very exhaustive list of mods loaded lol)
When moving the ship in SoS2, the Hellpod range doesn't update to the new position of the ship.

Other than that, the mod looks great :D

@DeathTomato appreciate it, I'm getting a modlist together for an SoS 2 run where we'll have some outposts across the planet and use drop pods to QRF bases with space marine support.

Love the mod. when rotating the launcher one of its sprite is reversed. The left rotate, idk what to call it

Love the mod, but I have two questions for you. Could you increase the pod movement rate to be significantly faster than drop pods so they'd be better for quick responses?

And is there a way where you could make it play a sound file when pods are launched?

they can travel farther, create an explosion upon impact, and they stay embedded in the ground with the items they contain for your colonists to grab

Traveling using hellpods should be much cheaper on chemfuel now, check the changelog for details!

Hellpod launcher fuel capacity has been increased from 150 to 1500. While longer flights will obviously be pretty expensive, you can fly much further now. Taranchuk is working on how to decrease the amount of chemfuel needed to travel per world tile. Hope this helps for now!

I'm doing some brainstorming to try and figure out a quick fix, hang in there for a bit longer guys, in the meantime, to readjust a ship's position, scout a tile, land there, then launch from that tile to change the ship's orbital position.
