@Little Man:
Unfortunately to have a temple requests you need organized religions (they are shown in yellow), and the modding engine do not allow to impact that in any way by mods (yet?). You should be able to appoint as a military commander any dwarf AFAIR - so I'm not what the issue is there. Please check if you are not excluding the appointed officials/nobles if you are using DF hack.

Great mod, had a lot of fun making a warrior moks fortress, altough run into some problems:
Dwarfs even at 50+ belivers in any god do not ask for a shrine/temple/grand temple etc. Also would be amazing if religios guardians can be made appointable to military (for some reason even the guardian of diety of war could not be placed in squad)

Doesnt seem to be working with the new update!

@Sic_Castic: I don't fully understand what you mean as I haven't made any changes to Nobility Extended nor Clergy mods in recent days. Lets move topic into https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/3314757561/4695657761337273829/ and please elaborate there :-)

@niemist I'm trying to get it to work with your nobility extended mod but I don't understand the changes toady made to the system when moving it to steam release.
niemst  [autor] 19 OCT 2024 a las 13:52
@Sir_Castic "are these positions dwarf-civ only?" - yes they are. (in DF modding each Entity - Civilization - has its own nobility system). If you have a specific race in mind, please tell me - maybe I could provide other mod for it - especially modded civ. Assuming that the author would be happy with it.

are these positions dwarf-civ only?

W art. If ever there was a use-case for AI art, it's games such as df.

Hello, I love your mods, and I really like the images you include in the workshop description. For example, in this clergy mod, where does image number 2 come from? Did you draw it, or is it from another artist? Is it AI-generated? Thank you in advance!

Actually, that mining bishop still seems to be mining and going about life as normal, but since I can't see him in the labors menu, I guess I can't change any of his labors.
a0grain 20 SEP 2024 a las 16:14
Does being a bishop mean that a dwarf can't do any labors? I'm not mad, but it would've been nice to know before I used a legendary miner and I also would've liked to know I can't change him out for someone else now (that I can see).

I like the art, it fits the mod thumbnail really well. He should keep using it for his mods.
CocoBat 5 SEP 2024 a las 13:46
He's not "Only getting flamed", I really didn't wanna add more to the AI discussion because the comment section is intended for discussing the mod, but I don't see why you care so much, the mod creator is just an individual using the images for demonstrational purposes, he probably liked generating them, and they fit the theme of the mod, he's not a grifting corporation, or an art thief, so just let it be, the images look cool and they represent concepts covered by the mod.
cry0catdrag0nzTTV 5 SEP 2024 a las 13:28
cool mod but the art is just pointless and grating. Most mods on here are all code and this seems like it would be MUCH better that way. Pixel art is easy ASF to make too, idk why you even bothered generating some aand including it when ur only gonna get flamed for it lol

Thx @Homerunner
I hope you will have fun. Please share if you will discover intresting story or would have remarks :-)
Homerunner 3 SEP 2024 a las 9:20
Eventually, be it in one year or ten, all these no-personality AI-luddites are going to quietly join in on the fun and pretend they never touched the bandwagon of irrational hatred with a ten-meter stick lol

This mod seems rad; gonna test it out once I finally finish off my old pre-adventure mode patch fortress in the haunted woods.

Where? Visual perception matters and graphical tweaks and mods are still among the most subscribed.

Saying "AI art is unethical" is not a fact; it's your opinion. This isn't the place to discuss that.

You believe what you're doing is just, but take a step back. You're imposing your values on others just because they did something you disapprove of. Why? To criticize someone who spent their time and effort to create and share something, simply because it wasn’t in a form you liked?

As a non-native English speaker, I rely on various tools, many of them AI-based, to be understood. Does being understandable bother you too?

If you want to make a difference, focus on legislative paths: contact your representative, vote, or support movements addressing the issue instead of targeting random people online. I hope you get where you aiming with your crusade without causing unnecessary harm.

That said, I’ll ignore your comments as they're shared in the wrong place.
Smerg the Dargon 1 SEP 2024 a las 7:17
I'm using the Steam version because I wish to support the developers and it's where all the mods are at.
"Beliefs overshadowing facts" Where? That AI art is unethical? That Dwarf Fortress is one of the least "graphics matter" games ever? That plenty of mods on the workshop do not in fact have any complex art on the workshop and that that's fine?
niemst  [autor] 1 SEP 2024 a las 1:05
@Smerg the Dargon

I'm disappointed to see beliefs overshadowing facts. We both know graphical presentation matters, which is why we're using the Steam version of DF over the classic ASCII version. No one is forcing you to use this mod. If you prefer it without artwork, feel free to use the DF wiki and my files to create your own version. I encourage you to do so! :-) You have everything you need at your fingertips. Right now, though, it feels like you're imposing your views on a stranger.

If you want to discuss AI, there are better places for that. The comments section here should focus on constructive feedback, and your input doesn't seem to fit that. By responding this way, you're not supporting your cause; instead, you might be discouraging others through what comes across as bullying. I hope you reflect on this and consider whether your actions align with your values. Wishing you success in your musical endeavors! :-)
CocoBat 31 AGO 2024 a las 22:49
Smerg, he's not some kind of grifter using the AI art for clickbait, or taking advantage of artists or something, I know there's ethical concerns relating to AI but this is not it, he's using it to represent what the mod contains and it's fine.
Smerg the Dargon 31 AGO 2024 a las 12:13
You didn't need any artwork at all.
niemst  [autor] 31 AGO 2024 a las 10:54
@Smerg the Dargon - you are more then welcome to provide your artwork I could replace the generated one with :-)
raisin 31 AGO 2024 a las 10:45
"ew ai artwork ew" who gives a shit. shut up.
Smerg the Dargon 31 AGO 2024 a las 8:34
AI gen artwork, gross.
niemst  [autor] 30 AGO 2024 a las 12:41
@Hledjlf - unfortunately I have no idea, this mod only impact the noble positions not how the religion itself work in the game
Hledjolf 29 AGO 2024 a las 12:12
So I keep having problems with death cults popping up in my fortresses. I usually just assign them to mining duty in adamantine spires, but is there a way of converting them instead?
niemst  [autor] 25 AGO 2024 a las 22:31
@mercury i'm glad to hear that :-)
mercury 25 AGO 2024 a las 9:33
I like this, been using it for a few days now and i am very happy with the new tittles makes more dwarves more unique i like that
niemst  [autor] 23 AGO 2024 a las 10:10
@CocoBat thanks for positive vibe. Please share if something interesting will come up with the mod :-)
CocoBat 22 AGO 2024 a las 13:18
Very cool mod as usual, I haven't tried your noble expansion but I will after this as well, I really like the idea of having religious orders and such in my fortress.
