Mp compatibility?

2,335 unique visitors, 244 current subscribers, 66 current favourites. This is a great idea, but there's a problem. Please take this as a suggestion. I just want to say what I think. If there is acid rain, masks are not necessary. If there is a gas, houses and cars with open windows must be dangerous. An extremely quick death. If there is realism, this mod would be very useful.

Hey Stheatic, no, the mod doesn't affect snow, it's just the rain.
Sthætic 6 NOV 2024 a las 7:46
hey man, cool mod! Does it also affect snow?

Hey 404, regarding your question about protection items, no, it’s impossible to wear two protection items on the character. You can only wear one protection item. I had planned for only one protection item to be worn, not multiple at the same time.

No problem!

Can damage reduction stack if the character is wearing multiple items with some protection? For example, one worn item provides 45% reduction and a second worn item provides 20% reduction.

Hi 404, thank you for making a compatibility mod for the Military Ponchos mod. I’ve added your mod compatibility for Military Ponchos in the description of my mod for people who are interested. Thank you so much!

Hey 404, at first I worked on a sandbox option, but I won’t be able to add this feature because it’s too complicated and I still haven’t figured it out. So, there won’t be a sandbox option for now.
Δ404 8 SEP 2024 a las 8:07
Thank you! Do you plan to add sandbox options in the future?

Hi 404, yes you can upload a compatibility patch for my mod, adding support for Military Ponchos, and thanks for testing my mod!

Great work on this mod! :dslike: I'm using this for a hardcore challenge inspired by Death Stranding.

Can I have permission to upload a compatibility patch for this mod adding support for Military Ponchos?

LOVE THIS MOD !

Hi Great_Puffer, your idea is good, but for now it’s something to consider for later. I have a lot of ideas to add to my mod, and once I’m done with the options and some features, I might implement your idea. But for now, I’m putting it aside.
Great_Puffer 25 AGO 2024 a las 20:19
shouldnt it work on rain resistance instead/wheather it would cover your head? while its rare it does exist and would be much better than using just masks for this, i also think it might be better to do damage based on if your wet or not

Hey Jaxmk1, your idea of adding a parameter for the degradation of protective equipment, similar to what I’m working on with rain damage, is excellent! I’ll add this feature once I’ve finished with the rain damage settings. As for your question about whether the water is contaminated, rainwater is indeed contaminated, but other water sources are not. However, I might add that collected rainwater could become toxic and cause death. That’s something to consider later once I’ve finished the settings. Regarding mod conflicts, there shouldn’t be any issues as long as the Pluit scripts aren’t altered. If a mod changes the Pluit scripts, there could be a risk of conflict with my mod. Anyway, thanks for the idea about adding equipment degradation I hadn’t thought of that!
Jaxmk1 25 AGO 2024 a las 4:01
ohh and one more thing, is the water poisoned? I have mods like Pluming that rely on rain water so the question is will the rain conflict with that or any irrigation mods?
Jaxmk1 25 AGO 2024 a las 1:45
Hey it's me again, since you work in the setting for rain damage slider, might want to do the same for the degradation of protective equipment, if the degradation is to high then even with a lower damage you will still stay indoors in a 2-3 day thunderstorm event witch makes the game boring.
Just my opinion on the matter!

Hi Gubernator, I’m currently working on a setting that will allow us to reduce or increase the damage from the rain. It will take some time to complete, but I believe I should have it done in a few days if I don’t run into too many issues
Renko 24 AGO 2024 a las 23:07
How strong is this mod and are there options to adjust its strength? Toxic rain is cool, but if it quickly spoils clothes and health, then it's more of a hemorrhoid than a cool mod
Jaxmk1 24 AGO 2024 a las 10:34
Excellent. Thank you.
Clem  [autor] 24 AGO 2024 a las 10:28
Hi Jaxmk1, right now I’m working on the option to reduce the rain. I have no idea when I’ll be done, but I think I’ll finish in a few days if I don’t run into too many problems.
Jaxmk1 24 AGO 2024 a las 10:13
Hello did you manage to add the sandbox settings for damage?
Clem  [autor] 21 AGO 2024 a las 10:43
I'll add a setting that can reduce or increase the damage because I agree it's a bit difficult xd
Don 21 AGO 2024 a las 5:16
please is just my opinion but the game has tooooo many things that make you know you screw up xD. only by making the damage of the rain a setup would be really enough (i think). and again, wonderfull idea.
Clem  [autor] 20 AGO 2024 a las 22:39
Hi Purplexion, at the moment, there's no option to set a specific time when the rain starts causing damage. I don't plan on adding this feature for now, but I'll consider it

Hi Don, it's true that without protection, surviving the rain is tough, xd. I think I might increase the damage reduction on protective items (like the surgical mask, etc.) and maybe reduce the rain damage to avoid instant death. I'll think it over to see if I make these changes
Don 20 AGO 2024 a las 17:51
settings would be amazing, this is a really goo idea! But just right now im not looking to add another insta kill xD
Purplexion 20 AGO 2024 a las 13:56
Are there sandbox options to set what day the rain becomes toxic?
