I have been using this in 1.6 and have had no issues.

It isn't ideal using a mod that is out of date and also removes base game content (see mayonnaise's comment below) so I do not really recommend using it, however it seems to be the only mod that actually gives melee specialist a useful ability if you aren't a fan of the base game beserk.

I've been bummed about how terrible the vanilla melee specialist abilities are for a long time, thanks a lot for this. just what I would have done myself.

you should remove the patch operation that deletes the Berserk Trance ability def; it's not good practice to straight up delete vanilla content that other mods may rely on, could break them. just leave the Berserk Trance ability there while still changing the melee specialist role. hope you take my advice :>
