it's gonna be kinda hard
decompile GMA file with Crowbar or any other programm, extract models folder in any folder, decompile .mdl, then find .qc file after decompiling, open it, search for CombatIdle1 and remove the sequence. Compile qc file to the same folder where your .mdl is
if you're using Crowbar you probably will have some duplicate errors, you can remove lines that starts with "a_" like "a_head_rot_rt...", but actually it's tells you what line is problematic

CMB Benefactor, to remove Combatidle you need to decompile GMA file, then decompile MDL file, find a line with combatidle, remove it, compile qc file to mdl

嘿,你们有没有想过也做一个玩家动画的版本?
替换基本持枪类型和行走的持枪、装弹动画?
可以用 Dynabase 来实现,这样会很棒!

Please, remove CombatIdle1 or change ACT_IDLE_ANGRY to something diffirent, it causes VJ NPCs to randomly play this anim during battle
I decompiled addons mdl, removed this sequence and everything now works fine, vanilla HL2 combines working without problems as do VJ Base NPCs

Uhhh.... You know any other tools / methods of decompressing gma files?
Even said, the method of putting gma file in the addons folder should've already worked, so if it still can't solve your problem then I don't know any other workaround for this

Be sure to include Retail-Like API within or inside a seperate folder in the addons folder too

Instead of putting the GMA file into the addons folder, you should extract the contents of the file using gmpublisher or any similar tools and put the content in a new folder ("MWIII animations for Combine Soldiers" for example) inside the addons folder

I have a problem, every time I use a modification that changes the animations of the combines, they bug very badly and for no apparent reason. I have searched everywhere and reinstalled the game and nothing works.

There was an issue of conflict between this and the VJ GFL2 NPCs before, until they made a compatibility patch for their addon to work ttogether with this

Usually VJ NPCs that has their own custom animations (especially those that originally use Combine animations) will be conflicting with this since the game will try to call for 2 animations with the same name simultaneously, so yeah, keep that in mind
