Hello Hudson, I was wondering if you ever plan to adding these to the paradox mod launcher?
Lokki 15 Aug @ 8:04am
I have noticed the same thing as @Ghoulvarine but it does seem to happen without the mod. Some of your armour colours look rather odd on the new culture and some units though.
Ghoulvarine 15 Aug @ 3:25am
Apparently it might have to do with the game itself and not the mods. I've seen reports by others where the cities and other things like city sprawls, trees, etc. from other culture buildings are looking a lot more gray or if there is color (i.e. rooftops) they appear more dull.

I appreciate your inquiry.
I'm unaware of anything breaking after the recent update.
Let me know if you notice anything weird.
Ghoulvarine 14 Aug @ 6:24pm
Not sure if the new archon dlc affected this one but I was using paledragon's version and the faction colors no longer work on certain things like city sprawl roofs and parts of some culture cities as well.
Lokki 13 Aug @ 3:59am
Do you know if your mods need to be updated in order to work with Archon Prophecy?
Mokai 16 Apr @ 3:59pm
Thank you for putting so much work and effort into the rework. Looking really good! =)

I have updated this mod to include 42 banner colors.
I've also made other significant changes.
Hopefully this will resolve the problems introduced with the Ogre Update.
Aktuarus 12 Apr @ 10:25am
Until the mod is updated, there will be problems with the culture of aristocrats
Hudson  [author] 2 Apr @ 12:50am
The ogre update has broken a multiplicity of things.
I'm presently investigating a fix.
I will post an update when I've come to a conclusion.

With new Ogre patch introducing a few new colors to the banner roster, I'm sure a few out there might be wondering how this mod behaves!

The tl;dr version: It's (mostly) fine!

The nitty gritty: Using the current version of Hudson's Colors with the Ogre Patch will causetwo colors to vanish and be replaced by duplicates of two other colors. To illustrate the issue, I've made this quick and dirty image: https://i.gyazo.com/e05a0d9f7557b6e21760482e6e5ca65f.png

This'll probably get fixed eventually! Just wanted to be informative =)

No problem, it is quite different I have actually finished it since I last commented. I did use yours as a reference but I have added a a lot of colours just the basic ones from the palette, its main purpose is to provide 3 versions of the same colour to avoid conflicts in multiplayer/story and more Icon Colours.

I appreciate your interest in my mods.
You may alter my mods for personal use.
For example, to better accommodate your personal needs.
However, I do not grant permission to redistribute my mods.
Nor do I grant permission to use my name or branding.

You may use my mod as a reference for creating your own mod.
However, your mod would need to be reasonably different.
That would mean, for example, including different colors.
I encourage you to create something unique.
And I invite you to contact me if you'd like assistance in doing so.

Hello Hudson, big fan of your mods I use them all.

I have edited Hudson Colors to allow every colour to be used by any faction and any colour to be used as Icon Colors, I have also added multiple variations of Banner Colours (for example there are three new blacks which are ever so slightly different but all just look black) as I am tired of playing multiplayer/Campaign games and being forced to change my colours and this removes that obstacle or at least lets you pick the same color.

I wondered if you would allow me to upload it as say Hudsons Colors expanded or something like that? Better yet if I could send you the updated version I have made and you could just replace the current one with it? I have tested it and it works fine btw

I can finally play the campaigns without my colors being changed. I played the campaigns closer to the release and it wasn't a problem then, as I remember.
Moreover, unlike the other color mod, it is immediately clear which colors were added and which to choose so that they are not replaced by AI factions. Thank you sir!
I wouldn't mind adding some shade of purple though ;)
Cat-Lunatic 23 Nov, 2024 @ 6:20pm
One thing I would like/prefer is a gold colour that can work with white, cause White/Gold is a pretty staple colour.

Love your mods.
It's very strange that the devs have built such a strong customisation system...to then give us the barest of minimum elements to use in it.
Hudson  [author] 28 Oct, 2024 @ 1:31pm
I appreciate your feedback, and I'm glad that you're enjoying my mods.
A white color should already be included in the base game.
As far as I'm aware, it's as pure a white color as is possible to achieve.
My mods maintain the base game colors without any alterations.
If you are not seeing the white color, you may consider:
• The chosen primary color determines what secondary colors are available.
• There may be a conflict with a different mod.
I'm not presently planning to add any additional colors.
But I'll always post updates if I ever do make changes or additions.

your mods are better version of age of colors , i like how organised it is and picked for best combos visual wise. Can you please add more colors tho , for expample pure white , some more blue colors and diff shades of purples.

Kind of a weird but simple question but: mods in other games usually get broken by updates. How likely are these color mods to be broken by the Age of Wonder updates?

Also I know that there is no guarantee that a mod won't get broken by updates, but I'm just wondering the general viability of these color mods without restricting the game from updates.
ZaneNotZayne 11 Sep, 2024 @ 5:00pm
very good mod
Hudson  [author] 4 Aug, 2024 @ 6:12pm
I'm definitely investigating that possibility.
I'll post updates if I ever get around to it.
Saxon 4 Aug, 2024 @ 12:53pm
I was in dire need of this mod! I too would love some more color for the Eldritch Sovereigns. I'd instantly subscribe if you ever get around to making a mod for it.
Hudson  [author] 24 Jul, 2024 @ 10:00pm
I will likely not include colors for Eldritch Sovereigns in this mod.
However, I am interested in eldritch customization.
I may create a mod for that soon.
AdaptableWalnut 24 Jul, 2024 @ 8:16pm
Will you be adding colours to Eldrich Soverigns?
Hudson  [author] 24 Jul, 2024 @ 11:25am
I hit the "Random Faction" button a few times, and colors do indeed appear to be chosen preferentially based on affinity. I'm glad that works.

I'm also glad that you're enjoying the mod. Because of the way in which colors are paired together, color-matching was a challenge. But I did my best. I appreciate your support.
That Human 24 Jul, 2024 @ 11:14am
Nice! I did try it out and noticed a random materium faction getting an order one but this could be because it was assigned a color that another had already been given. If this works it increases the possibility but is not guaranteed, which I think is actually great.

Great choices of colors! I have wished for a bright since day one. I find this mod much better than the other one which does add armor colors but also some crazy hair colors that appear randomly and as fun as dwarves with green hair is, it is only funny once.
Hudson  [author] 24 Jul, 2024 @ 10:03am
The colors being associated with affinities determines how they are categorized.
As best as I understand, it's used for random/automatic selection.
For example, Yellow is more likely to be associated with an Order faction.
But honestly, I haven't noticed it much. It's just cool.
That Human 24 Jul, 2024 @ 12:05am
How does the associations work?
