Im on 21:9 and the loading screens are all 16:9 for me. Has some l4d2 update broken mods like this or are there any commands or settings i need to change?

The default one seems to be broken, it stretches down (or compresses) into a square,
loadingscreen_default_widescreen.vmt seems to be missing

for some reason when choose what level i want, it just keeps the default screen when loading. idk whats with that.
