@sulu thank you for notifying, I have notified the administrators of the workshop and should be fixed. I added that description in case someone just presses some buttons, didnt think it would be needed, but here we are. xD

Hey, there is another ladder in the workshop now. Can you check that one out if it's legit and the coppyright and stuff isn't broken? If not it should be reported.
It does not need Harmony so it might be legit, but I really don't know.

This is the best mod ever! It makes multilevel structures so much easier to make and it cleans up the platform nightmare requires to get to the top of a cliff!

@geof4321 - i think you miss the whole point of the game. besides, if you dislike the way ladders work, no one is forcing you to use this mod.

I think ladder should be nerf: Beavers that carrying items should not be able to use it.

i have also just seen the same issue with the beavers getting stuck. i do not think it was because they were building inside the ladder, more like the other side of the ladder {by a couple of squares}. beavers definitely get stuck. clearing the path helped release them though, so thanks for that marra.

Some beavers get stuck on ladders. I've noticed it happening when they try to build dynamites on the edge of the level above. They get stuck between building it from inside the ladder, or going up the ladder and finishing the building. Removing paths from under and over the ladder solves the issue, but you gotta notice it before te beaver dies. Also happens with bots.

If I place path at the bottom of the ladder and behind the ladder, beaver can cross the ladder, but the paths are not connected. Once I remove the path at the bottom, if the beaver has no other way to bypass this ladder, it will get lost. Is this a feature or a bug?

Thank you for fixing the bug with beavers still using ladders long after they were removed! That was a pain in the beaver!

@Smaxta. I'm not sure how I got out of it but I had the same issue as you after deleting a ladder (road not connecting on the side where the ladder was). I've built path, plateforms and terrains block all around (above, below and on the sides of) the offending tile to reset it to no avail, but after saving and reloading, the road issue went away, so it seems, my beavers no longer need to go up in this spot.

Unfortunately, un-subscribe / re-subscribe mod, save / reload game doesn't help. Even after full game exit and resume, this spots are still on the same places.

As you can see on picture, builders are building two roofs on double-high buildings with no additional support. Lastly on this spot was a ladder from this mod.

Lastly I have same issue described below. After deleting ladder, the path from it remain valid. So, even there no ladder anymore visually, my beavers still can jump up with the same route. Moreover it still holds that limitation for one side, where previously was ladder (blocked path), therefore new roads cannot be connected properly. And even if I build a new vanilla stairs on the same place, beavers sometimes "jump" unexpectedly, like there two different paths on one square.
Mac user (with Rosetta), experimental. Un-subscribe / Subscribe doesn't help.

Even with unsubscribing, and then resubbing there's still a bit of weirdness happening. Ladders that were built before don't seem to actually delete till after a save and reload, had several running up and down ladders I removed. Had another that left its pathing behind? Best way I can describe it. you couldn't attach a path to where it was, and if you try you and see the 45 degree angle path indicator, like you see on stairs pop up.

Im gonna post some important points:
1. Make sure to resubscribe, this forces redownload and probably fixes issues.
2. Paths are now required under the ladder, this is because of how the new pathfinding system works. While this is a change, i will not be changing this behavior again.
3. If you dont read before you post a comment or its just so unusefull, i will remove the post. So DONT post "it doesnt work" without context, but DO post the crash error and additional information!

Ladders seem to be working just fine for me, I just unsubscribed and resubscribed and they are working. I would suggest to check all your pathing and such just to make sure everything is connected though.

以前まで梯子を設置すれば自動的に設置されていた道が、アップデートの影響で全て削除されているようです。梯子の設置場所全てを確認し、消えてしまった道を再設置することで解決出来ました。

It appears that if the only path from a district center to a district crossing contains a ladder, the game cannot find the route and it reports that the crossing is not connected. Two district centers can also be connected directly via ladder. I haven't used a district crossing in years but Forsaken's metal location is on the opposite side of the huge map and I decided to try making two districts.

After reading Smitty's comment, I found that I had some extra paths at the bases of my ladders. I didn't have pathing problems, but it's strange that it allows you to draw an extra path there when it already provides its own. The rule seems to be that you must add a path on the middle or top of levels of the ladder, but shouldn't on the bottom.

Otherwise the mod has been working flawlessly for me. Thank you!

In case anyone else was having issues with beavers getting stuck, make sure you do NOT have a path at the bottom of the ladder. Having a "double path" seems to be the issue. The ladder mod adds a mod itself. When you add one it gets beavers confused. I've been testing this and without a normal path I haven't had a single beaver get stuck.

I just came in to mention the same as @NitrousX - experiencing beavers getting stuck on the ladders. I've had it happen regardless of construction going on. I delete a path nearby and add it back and they get unstuck. Unfortunately you don't get a "stuck" notification and I've had a number of beavers die of thirst when I don't see it fast enough.

Otherwise, I love this mod. It is great! Thank you!

I've experienced beavers getting stuck on ladders whilst building, especially when the hunger or thirst triggers and their working speed drops, blocking construction which is only fixed by pausing the construction so the beaver basically gets unstuck

Other then that experience in the main U7 version, no complaints, great mod

Nevermind, I found the issue. I had a ladder at max build height, which caused the crash. Perhaps it might be useful to add a specific max build height at (<ingame max build height> - 1) for your amazing ladders.

Ever since last night (6-6-25) Whenerever I click or try to build a District center or Builder's hut, the game crashes. I narrowed the cause down to this mod. Any ideas on how to fix?

Mod works well, takes a little effort to learn how the pathing works, but that's what gaming is about figuring out the mechanics. The only suggestion / request I would have would be if there could also be two and three height ladders available as well? Since almost everything else in this category has three stages it would just mimic the overall theme of the game quite well.

After one of the latest updates, the bottom path is sometimes displayed as coming out in the wrong direction, and for some reason, some of my buildings right next to stairs are no longer connected to the district (maybe only on the bottom 3 levels of the map?), even after rebuilding them and making sure to put paths on all the levels.

Reloading the game seems to solve the connection part of the issue, but it comes back if a create new ladders.

mod seems to have broken with update 7 beavers get stuck and sometimes it will only build 2 high but can reach a height 7 high without building up to it.

I have the issue everytime I use the ladder to stack storage, the initial path is cut and never links back once the ladder is built. I do not know if that is intented but now I use the ladder only to reach higher ground.

The mod works indeed, but the beavers do get stuck from time to time now and then if you place a path on/at the root of the ladder. If you don't place the root the path is sometimes confused / not connecting.
But also beavers do get unstuck if you deconstruct and rebuild the path (works every time) or sometimes just with time passing (I think when the day start, but it's not automatic), so it's a pretty low severity issue.

not sure if its this mod or not but ive had like 4 or more beavers get stuck on ladders and start starving and when i delete the ladder they continue walking, i also have the unstuck mod so im not sure if its a conflict or not

Its working fine but I notice (maybe another mod not 100% sure) you could build paths under the ladder and that can sometimes bug beavers and they will get stuck (until the unstuck mod gets updated)
